First of all I have to say that the heat and ring surface affected many of the dogs movements today so I didn’t penalise to much on that score. The ring had a fair slope to it and very uneven in places.

Beagle PG 1 Cottrell’s Blunderhall Moonrock in Helidale 9 year old tri female. Strong yet feminine in head mid brown well set eyes, ears of fair length set low and used when needed. Moderate angulation all through. Well ribbed up but a tad heavier than ideal. Sound in her movement to and fro. RBOB O 1 Webster’s Rossut Vizier for Houndscoast 4 year old lemon male of good breed type. Good head to go over strong and balanced without being overdone in any way. Forehand is well angulated and complimented by his muscular quarters allowing a sound stride at all times. BOB Dachshund L/H J 1 Roberts’ Swanford Orlandodor 12 month old red male. Scores well in head being strong and proportionate with well set dark eyes, correct dentition and strength in jaws. Muscular neck of good length into moderate forehand and well boned forelimbs. Good length and shape to ribbing, hindquarters are defined and allow a positive driving action. BOB S/H PG 1 Hinwood’s Longmel Christmas Truffle 19 month old red female developing well at this stage. Proportionate in head with correct dentition and strength in jaws. Well laid back in forehand and strong in bone with good feet. Ample depth of chest and length of rib. Well toned quarters and sound easy movement. RBOB O 1 Hinwood’s Longmel Courvoisier Truffle 2 ¾ year old red male. Clean head lines with dark eyes, high set ears and strength in jaws with correct dentition. Muscular neck of fair length flowing into moderately angulated front assembly and strong well boned limbs. Well ribbed up for shape and length. Topline firm at all times standing or on the move. Smooth in his stride from any angle. BOB W/H O 1 Hutchings’ CH Collidach Raynee Day JW 4 year old female full of breed type and ultra sound coming and going. Scores well in head, dark well set eyes, high set ears and fairly broad skull. Powerful neck of good length easing into well constructed forehand that is matched equally in her quarters giving her a well balanced framework and efficient ground covering movement at all times. Well presented in dense harsh jacket to finish her. BOB & G3 M/L/H P 1 Gunter’s Wellingtonway Muffin Man 8 month old promising red male. Well angulated fore and aft with good length and shape of ribbing between. Head is coming well for his age and size, dark almond eyes and high set mobile ears. His movement is sound and free when settled He just needs time to mature on. Shown in good clean jacket. BPIB J 1 Gunter’s Wellingtonway Miss Mischief 14 month old black / tan female that took it all in her stride today despite the heat. Good head to go over strong yet feminine all through. Dark well set almond eyes and high set ears. Muscular neck of good length into well angulated forehand, well let down in chest and sprung in ribbing. Topline level and firm at all times. Comes into her own on the move being positive and ultra sound. Put down in clean dense jacket. BOB 2 Dunhill’s Gellijams The Archer 14 month old cream female that is quite well constructed but needs a tad more body to be at her best. Proportionate in head, high set ears, mid brown almond eyes and correct scissor bite. Strong neck of good length to moderate forehand in terms of angulation. Well ribbed up, topline firm and level at all times. PG 1 Dunhill & Lockett-Walters’ Gellijams Wildest Dreams Litter sister to 2nd in junior and built much on the same lines as far as angulation goes. Again cream in jacket. Well proportioned in head, mid brown eyes and ears set on high and used to her advantage. She has better body covering than her litter sister. Easy and clean on the move from all angles. Shown in good clean jacket. RBOB 2 Gunter’s Sanmik Captain at Wellingtonway 18 month old red male. Strong in head without being heavy or overdone in any way. Moderately angulated fore and aft giving him a balanced outline stacked up and an easy movement coming and going. Needs more finishing through. O 1 Dunhill’s Black Velvet Delight at Gellijams 2 ¼ year old black / tan female. Nothing overdone with this lady just a good honest moderately built exhibit. Clean, proportionate head to go over, strong neck into well angulated front assembly with well boned limbs. Good length and shape of rib, firm in topline. Steady on the move. Shown in good jacket. M/S/H P 1 Jones’ Jenivon’s The Last Waltz 10 month promising old black / tan male. Scores well in head, dark almond eyes, ears set on high and used to his advantage. Clean head planes, strong without being overdone in any way. Well constructed fore and aft giving him a balanced framework and effortless movement. Tad loose on the day but with time that will strengthen. BP & PG3 J 1 Hutchinson’ Tinseltown Kelly Springs into Colloidal 14 month old red female. Good head to go over, mid brown almond eyes, high set mobile ears and full dentition. Well laid in forehand, deep ribbing and firm level towline. Used the ring to her advantage to show off her build with a steady stride at all times. She again needs time to finish BOB M/W/H O 1 Price’s Colloidal Thomas Tank KW 2 ¼ year old male that is well proportioned all through from head to quarters. All male in appearance, balanced head to handle, dark eyes and high set ears he uses to his benefit. Muscular neck of good length into clean well laid shoulders, ample depth of chest and spring to rib. Holds a firm level towline on the move. Shown in correct harsh jacket. BOB Norwegian Elk hound P 1 Tallow’s Whittier Sexy Beast Very promising 7 month old male that never put a foot wrong from start to finish. Super head to handle with hands molding round easily. Enough breadth in skull, perceptible stop, free from any excesses, dark oval eyes and ears set on high and used to his advantage at all times when called for. Muscular neck into top class front assembly that is matched to a “T” in his quarters and as such allowed him to move with fluency and a controlled covering the ground with consummate ease in harmony with his handler. Finished in clean coarse jacket to complete the very good picture. BP BOB G1 PG1 and pleased to see him take RIBS and BPS later in the day where he was still on song. Surely one to be titled in time. O 1 Tallow’s CH Whittier Alright Ba KW Excess SOW 4 ½ year old female from the same kennel and equally as well constructed all through. Strong head to handle without losing her obvious femininity, dark well set eyes, fully mobile ears set on high. Strong jaws with full dentition and scissor bite. Powerful neck into well laid shoulders and straight front with good bone and tight feet. Sound and efficient on the move from all directions. Another presented well in jacket and toning. ROB 

Rhodesian Ridgeback P 1 Pritchard Jones’ Affrhoda Amaryllis 7 month old promising female that should do well as she matures judging by today’s showing. Strong well proportioned head to go over without being overdone in any way. Expressive well set eyes, high set ears that she uses to her advantage when called for. Muscular neck into moderately angulated front assembly with well boned straight limbs and tight feet. Well let down in chest and sprung in rib, firm level topline that holds at all times. Easy and sound on the move. BPIB & PG2 behind the exciting Elkhound. PG 1 Blyth’s Priorpark Piece Of Cake 2 ½ year old male. Good head to handle, strong without being coarse in any way. Dark eyes, high set ears and correct dentition with strength in jaws. Muscular neck into moderately angled front assembly and straight front with tight feet. Ample depth of chest and spring of rib, firm in back and defined in quarters. Steady and sound on the move at all times. RBOB 2 Pritchard Jones’ Mission Wild Wind Of Luanda at Affrhoda [Imp Svk] 2 year old male. Well proportioned in head, mid brown eyes, strong jaws and correct scissor bite. Moderate angulation fore and aft. Strong straight bone and tight feet. Sound and clean in footfall. 3 Lloyd Jones’ Africaner Sundown O1 Pritchard Jones’ Affrhoda Athiyyah 5 ½ year old female. Scores well in head being strong yet feminine in appearance. Mid brown well set eyes, high set ears that she uses to he benefit when needed. Powerfully built in forehand and matched in quarters to allow her the firm steady movement displayed today. Shown in very good body toning overall. BOB & G4 AV Hound Veteran 1 Croxford’s Whittimere No Matter What [Norwegian Elkhound] Female rising 8 years of age but belies that when she starts to move covering the ground with an easy and controlled gait at all times. Good head to handle with strength in jaws and full dentition. Powerful neck into well angled forehand with matching quarters. Well ribbed up, firm level topline static or in motion. Put down to the minute in jacket. 2 Blyth’s Priorpark Piece Of Cake [Rhodesian Ridgeback] 7 ¼ year old male. Strong in body and head without being too much in any department. Clean well proportioned head with expressive oval eyes, perceptible stop and strength in jaws with full correct dentition. Strong neck of good length into well built forehand with ample bone and tight feet. Deep in chest well ribbed up and correct in topline. Well defined quarters allowing a positive and smooth driving action on the move.
