Scottish Kennel Club

Breed: Toy Group All Breed Championship Show

Group Results: Toy Group

I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Scottish Kennel Club and the RKC for giving me my first appointment at Toy Group level. It was a privilege to be involved in an event of such exceptional quality, and it was clear from the turn out people support the move to holding a double show - also congratulations for organising the rings, as no mean feat!

I thoroughly enjoyed the day and was especially impressed by the excellent sportsmanship, professionalism, and positive atmosphere throughout. It was a fantastic experience and one that I greatly appreciated being part of.

Thank you for the sporting applause as the Maltese did her lap of the group and respectfully withdrew due to the close relationship of the handler and myself.

Overall

G1 4776 - Ch Sueacres Catch A Dream JW, Breed: Pomeranian (Ms S Smith)

This boy did not stand, or move, wrong for me today. Every time he was in my eyeline he was alert and showing and presented in a fabulous orange sable coat. For me he was a perfectly sized male, lovely and compact with very good rib and depth, short neck, level topline, short coupled and straight tail correctly set and over his back. He scored in head and expression for me, with good pigmentation, dark expressive eyes, correct stop, good dentition and small, high set ear. He floated around the ring freely, with a brisk and buoyant action. Pleased I could make him Group 1.

G2 4608 - Ch Jameneli Back to Black, Breed: Lowchen (Little Lion Dog) (Mrs J Graham)

So close up to the winner and easily holding his own in great company. He is unobtrusively presented to get the best from him, clearly a playful young dog doing well with a great career ahead. His size, shape and balance are fabulous, his condition, skin, muscle tone and wavy silk coat to be commended; he really fills the eye. He is short, strong and well proportioned, maintains a level topline, ribs well sprung and carried well back and chest let well down. Congratulations on your group 2.

G3 4499 - Ch Bailemos Miss Curvaceous (IKC), Breed: Havanese (Mrs O & Mr D Carty-Parge & Parge)

This young lady is going to hold her own in any company. Certainly, a new one to me, she impressed as she entered the ring and only continued. Gay and lively with good head proportions. Lovely large dark eyes. She was in my opinion a beautiful size, sturdy, slightly longer in body than height. Her profuse coat was presented to perfection, tail carried in plume over back. Accurate in the up and back but absolutely comes alive in profile. I wish you continued success.

G4 4317 - Aphienna Oh Mio My, Breed: Chihuahua (Long Coat) (Mrs Hayley Murphy)

I understand gained his crown earlier today – well done. A standout head, beautiful shape to skull, large dark and rounded eyes giving lovely expression framed by his large flaring ears. Nice depth to chest with well sprung ribs. Level topline, super tail set and carriage he moved briskly full of confidence. Beautifully feathered coat of excellent texture all over. A lovely smart boy to complete my line up.

I also selected for consideration the Affenpinscher, Bichon Frise, Chinese Crested, Griffon, Japanese Chin and Papillon. Any one of these dogs was worthy of a place and I congratulate you all on your results this weekend.
