Bath Canine Society

Breed: Large Munsterlander

I have to congratulate the exhibits and breeders today as the movement of the breed as certainly improved over the years. Many years ago I was given guidance to look at a LM from both sides as the colours and markings play tricks on you, I have followed this advice now for many year and still do it. Thank you once again for a fabulous entry it was well received.

1ST 1980 - Sh Ch Crumpsbrook Woodrush (Ms J E & Mr A E Powell & Murrell) really pleasing dog in all departments, from his well-proportioned head to his tail. He moved with that typical long striding free movement. Presented in absolutely top class coat and condition.

1ST 1979 - Tarkanya Maggies Magnum (Mrs Nm Lowson) he presents a good overall picture good conformation and good body. At 11 months old he is maturing nicely without any exaggerations. He carried his tail higher than I would like but as an excitable puppy I’m sure it will improve. BPIB.

1ST 1987 - Leriton Lupus (Mr M & Mrs C Wakefield) pleasing youngster of good quality, great bone and a good strong back, strong loin and good quarters which he used on the move. At the age he is I'm sure he will all fall into place as he develops.

2ND 1988 - Leriton Ophiuchus (Mr M & Mrs C Wakefield) this youngster wasn’t sure of his handler , but I like him lots, his head is well proportioned to his overall body. Good body and good quarters.

1ST 1978 - Sh Ch Graf Iii vom Busshof at Albadhu ShCEx (E & F Logie & Braidwood) I just fell for this dog the moment I saw him in the ring, so full of quality. He shouts breed type in all departments, his head is so typical and his expression displays kindness and affection. Everything about I was impressed with, his movement both fore and aft was a pleasure to see. delighted to award him the DCC and BOB.

2ND 1972 - Vonstrahlend Kam Das Leben (Mrs N M & Mr I Griffiths-Rose & Griffiths) at 6 years young he displays a fully mature dog in all departments. He has a classic head, good strong neck and clean shoulders. His movement is typical free, long striding with that typical springy movement. RDCC.

1ST 1982 - Crumpsbrook Escher (Mrs A & Mr P Ryder) pleasing bitch at 2 years of age, well handled and presented both of them I understood to be almost a first time in the ring and the handler did well to enjoy the day. I would like to see a little more body on her but it didn’t distract from a quality bitch. BSB.

 2ND 1987 - Leriton Lupus (Mr M & Mrs C Wakefield) repeat

 995. Large Munsterlander - Veteran Bitch

1ST 1977 - Sh Ch Albadhu Pawsitive Vibes JW (E & F Logie & Braidwood) At 7 years of age she for me has come into her own, she is just fabulous. So much to like about her from her classic head, strong neck displaying the classic arch all joining into well angulated shoulders. Her body and overall conformation is so true. Her quarters are strong and she certainly moved in the way her body is built. Nothing disappointed me. Delighted to award her BCC and BOB and BVIB

2ND 1969 - Wonglepong Willows Sunbird VW (Mr P W Disney) another good bitch but today sadly showing her age a little when she moved but she is allowed to at the age of 12 years young. Overall great coat and condition.

  997. Large Munsterlander - Junior Bitch

1ST 1975 - Albadhu I'm Addicted to You (E & F Logie & Braidwood) pleasing bitch overall, from her good well balanced head good skull with no sign of a stop which is obviously not required. When standing she is a picture, she holds her topline when on the move. I would prefer to see more positive hind movement but im sure it will come.

2ND 1985 - Leriton Corvus Astron (Ms C & Mrs L Simpson & Johnston) sadly just off her season so as a youngster she was naturally a little jumpy. But with a sympathetic approach she became calm for both myself as a judge and her handler. I loved her stacked her head is a delight and good neck and shoulders. Her body is what is expected and she moved ok as the winner I would prefer to see more positive hind movement but as she was just off her season like the winner I’m sure it will come.

998. Large Munsterlander - Post Graduate Bitch

1ST 1976 - Albadhu I'm Mad About You (E & F Logie & Braidwood) I really liked this youngster, she displayed all the characteristics I would expect to see. Her eyes and expression showed total alertness at all times she never stopped looking around in an inquisitive way. Her body is short coupled with a firm strong back, good ribs and depth and strong board quarters which she certainly used when on the move. She pushed hard for top honours which on this form in my opinion wont be far away.

2ND 1982 - Crumpsbrook Escher (Mrs A & Mr P Ryder) repeat.

999. Large Munsterlander - Limit Bitch

1ST 1965 - Almonrigg Sweet Honey Baby at Jendella's (Mr D A & Mrs B M Butler) classic LM, she is so very sound overall, lots to like about her from her classic head, her body displaying the ability to be a multipurpose gundog, strong muscular body and moving with great free driving action. She covered the ground with ease. RBCC

2ND 1967 - Crumpsbrook Anneke to Incadar (Mr G T & Mrs J Darby) slighter build than winner today but still a good overall shape and size. I was impressed with her overall outline and shape. She moved soundly.

1000. Large Munsterlander - Open Bitch

Entries: 3 Absentees: 1

1ST 1974 - Sh Ch Albadhu Final Encounter (E & F Logie & Braidwood) unlucky to meet the top winners today but she is certainly a bitch to contend with. She is similar in my notes of the winners to day I simply preferred the others but wow she is certainly lovely. Her head is classic and her overall movement was true.

2ND 1983 - Ekkolander Persephone Red at Leriton (Ms C & Mrs L Simpson & Johnston) finer in head than I would like but looking at her overall body proportions she displayed full LM breed type. She moved wider in front that winner today but still overall a good exhibit.
