1ST 1819 - Sh Ch Alanea Game Reserve with Danwish (Miss T Gardner)

I judge this dog at Crufts 2023, and my opinion is still very much the same, in fact he’s looking better and better at the age of 10 years he is a fine example of a great red & white., from his well-balanced head, good eye and good finish to skull. Strong shoulders and the best today in his upper arm angulation. Good body and strong loin, the best of finish to his croup and strong quarters. So well presented, showing strength and athleticism. Delighted to award him RDCC.

2ND 1830 - Laoirebay Monte Carlo VW (Mr M I & Mrs W E Taylor) pleasing dog in all aspects, good overall conformation, love his head and balance. Preferred winner on movement today.

1ST 1820 - Alanea Turning Tables Into Danwish (Miss T Gardner) omg what a fabulous youngster, I cant believe he is just 6 months old. Sired by the veteran winner he is every bit similar in quality. What a puppy career he will have and I’m sure he will go on to bigger and better things. He is simply a delight. BPIB

1ST 1829 - Roanjora Cremant De Savoie avec Eusanit JW (Miss R & Miss S & Mrs T McDonald & Westwood & Westwood) presented in tip top coat and condition. Great overall conformation and balance. From his classic head and expression, good neck and clean shoulders, strong an powerful front angulation with a well defined pro sternum, deep chest, but actually nothing overdone at all. His quarters strong with ample angulation, which when it all came together he used well and true when on the move. Delighted to award him the DCC today and BOB.

2ND 1823 - Gilliegrae So Berry Excited JW (Mr G J & Mrs G A Hart) he has one of the best heads I have seen in over the many times being around and judging the breed. He is well balanced overall and great conformation, true front and good deep chest. At 18 months of age in my opinion he has much more to come. Has is name says he is an exciting prospect for many years ahead of him.

1ST 1831 - Sh Ch Spyefire Reyt Bobby Dazzler (Mr P J & Mrs E A Titterton) , going back over years I judged this dog at Crufts handled by a very novice handler at that time. My comments then stated the words “I believe showing is new to this handler today, but hope they keep going. Such a promising dog, he presented the overall appearance of power. Sadly he wasn’t sure of the carpet and a little tentative when moving” Well I’m pleased they did keep going and delighted he went on gain his title and his handler never gave up. He is presented in absolutely fabulous condition. He is a very upstanding dog very striking in appearance and a pleasure to go over. Congratulations on the success you have with him.

2ND 1816 - Sh Ch Daithi Shadow Dog with Ferngate (Imp Pol) (Mrs A B & Mr S H Catton & Cook) The standard asks for an athletic appearance rather than racy and this is what you get with this dog. So much to like about from his good head and expression to his ever wagging tail. Nothing exaggerated at all in overall appearance. Great quarters and moved effortlessly around the ring.

Both these 2 year old bitches lacked confidence, I personally would like to see more bone and body on both of them, however overall the winner was a little stronger in bone and body.

1ST 1822 - Clonaghadoo Felicity (IKC) (Miss Angel Williams)

2ND 1821 - Clonaghadoo Fantasia (IKC) (Miss Angel Williams)

1ST 1832 - Sh Ch Zendarric It's A Kind of Magic Within Wroxham JW (Mrs E E Walker) her head and expression is a delight to see, she is so very feminine but display strength which is what a red and white setter should be. At 10 years young I felt today was her day and I was delighted and thrilled to award her the BCC and BVIB much to the surprise of her handler. Her bone is so true to the breed standard being oval and strong, good prosternum, great depth. Excellent quarters she moved so wonderfully true. Thank you for bringing her again under me she thrilled me to judge as in my opinion as a setter should be they get better with age.
