Thank you to the committee of the NISBTC for inviting me to judge your Championship Show. I know it is a very small committee, so the hard work and dedication that goes into organising a successful show should not be underestimated. I was delighted to hear that you received such a good entry. Thank you also to the wonderful exhibitors for allowing me the privilege of judging your dogs. A special mention must go to those who travelled from the UK. I appreciate the expense and effort involved in making the journey across the Irish Sea, and I was very grateful for your support. Overall, the quality throughout the entry was very good, and some of the larger class decisions could easily have changed on another day. One area that could perhaps be improved was the overall condition and fitness of some exhibits, as a few dogs could have benefited from being shown fitter. Other than that, I had no major concerns. It was particularly pleasing to see some promising youngsters coming through. Once again, thank you for your entries and for accepting my decisions in such a sporting manner. They are, of course, only my interpretation of the breed standard and at the end of the day, we all take the best dog home Minor puppy 1st MARTPHIL CHARMER 8 months old, decent head shape, correct bite, dark round eye, good muzzle to skull ratio, with good definition, well-placed ears, expression okay, good amount of bone for age. Good front with sufficient depth of brisket for age. Would like neater, tighter feet. Good spring of rib, level top line, short in loin, good angulations front and rear. Hard to assess movement as he was a little energetic & made his handler work hard. Was shown in good condition. Puppy Dog 1st MARTPHIL CASSANOVA Litter brother to previous class winner, decent head, a little longer in muzzle than his brother, correct bite, good ear placement and carriage. Would like his eyes a little rounder to finish off his expression. Good front, well boned, again would like neater, tighter feet. More balanced than his brother in body. Once again, good amount of rib and bone, good length of loin and top line. Moved well when he settled. Thank you. Junior dog. 1st VERY BAD TRIP HIGH HILLS BULLS Beautiful head shape with good depth, good cheek bumps, dark round eyes, rose ears. He has a good skull to muzzle ratio, good bite & plenty of underjaw, his strong short neck leads into a straight front & he has tight well-padded feet. He has a good spring of rib, short in loin, good top line & good angulations and over all good substance. He was shown in excellent condition, his lovely shade of red was gleaming. Moved and handled well. Yearling Dog 1st JOJALANE I DRINK WINE JW From the moment this boy entered the ring he made his handler work double hard! He’s full of Stafford character and hardly stopped for a second! Beautiful head shape, deep throughout, good muzzle to skull ratio, correct bite, good cheek bumps, & dark round eyes. Rose ears well placed which he did use when he settled and something got his attention and that made for a very nice expression! He has a straight well boned front, enough depth of brisket & rib for his age, level topline, short in loin, correct tail placement and good angulation front & rear which gave him good drive when moving. It was a pleasure to award him RCC. 2nd LOYALSTAFF BILLY THE BOY BY BONEYSTAFF Masculine male with a strong head which has good depth & width, good bite with plenty of underjaw, round eyes and well set ears. Straight front with with width leads down to tight well padded feet, he has a strong short neck which leads down to a level topline, plenty of rib and short in loin, good angulations front and rear, I just preferred the cleaner head of 1st place. Moved and handled well Tyro 1st SWISSBULL DUBLIN PUB PROWLER You can tell this boy is very much loved, as he is carrying a few pounds more than he should be. Strong-headed dog, correct bite, good cheekbumps, good amount of stop, good muzzle to skull ratio, round eyes which I would like a little bit darker, small well placed ears and nice expression. He has a well boned straight front with a good depth of brisket, strong short neck, plenty of rib, short in loin, good angulations, moved and handled well. Post Grad 1st KANNECHOR SMOKING JOE A well-proportioned dog with an appealing head type, showing a good muzzle-to-skull ratio and good depth, good bite. He has dark round eyes & his small a rose ears give him a very nice expression over all. Neck is strong and of good length, flowing into a well-constructed front with adequate bone. Feet would benefit from being tighter for improved overall finish. Decent rib, short in loin with good angulations. Moved and handled well. 2nd FINNSTAFF KING OF HEARTS Nice head shape with good depth, good amount of stop, dark eyes and well placed ears, good amount of underjaw & correct bite. I would have like more lay back of shoulder to give him a better front but his rear angulation was good, decent amount of rib and good topline & he moved up and down the mat with drive. Limit Dog 1st BARIELLE DUTCH CONNECTION BY AYMSTAFF This dog caught my eye as soon as he came into the ring! He is all male! Excellent substance & rippling with muscle there’s no mistaking him for a male! He has a clean powerful head, huge cheek bumps, good depth of stop and his head is deep throughout. His bite is correct with large teeth and plenty of under jaw. He has the darkest round eyes and small rose ears which frame a beautiful expression. His front is straight and well boned with good width and his feet are tight and well padded. His short muscular neck leads into a level topline which he also held on the move. He possesses plenty of rib, is short in loin with a good tuck up & his good length of leg makes him well balanced whatever angle you look at him from. He was in rock hard condition with plenty of muscle in his rear end which gives him drive and excellent movement as he moved in unison with his handler. CC & RBIS 2nd TILLCAR FIRE SOLDIER This was another that caught my eye when he came into the ring. His expression is one that would nearly look through you, I loved his head, he has dark round eyes, well place rose ears and a strong masculine head with good depth throughout and a correct bite. He has a well balanced body with good angulations, level topline & short in loin. I would have just liked a little more of him all over. Shown in excellent condition and handled well. Open Dog 1st CH BROCKMAR TOP BOY I can see why this boy is a champion, he has a cracking head which is clean & deep throughout with good muzzle to skull ratio, correct bite, dark round eyes, well placed rose ears which helps give him his lovely expression. His straight well boned front has good width and substance and he has tight well padded feet. His short muscular neck leads down to his well defined shoulders and he has a good spring of rib. His topline is level when stacked and he has good front and rear angulation. He likes to make his handler work hard especially on the move. 2nd CH NORTHSTAFF NIGHTMARE JW Another very nice male, slightly smaller than 1st place with maybe not as much substance or rib but a very nice package overall. His head was strong and clean with good depth throughout, good ratios’s, correct bite, dark eyes and well placed small ears giving him a nice expression. Correct bite with good underjaw. Short strong neck, level topline short in loin and good angulation with good tail set. He moved well up and down the mat and was handled well. Veteran 1st MUMIAH BAD MANNERS This handsome old fella seemed to enjoy his day out. He still possesses a strong head for a veteran, good depth, strong muzzle with a good depth of stop, dark round eyes and well placed ears gave him a lovely expression, the only thing lacking was a couple of teeth, but being a Stafford im sure they’ve been through alot! He still has a straight well boned front and tight feet, decent depth of brisket and good spring of rib and is short in the loin with a good topline, he was carrying a couple of pounds but was still in hard & in better condition than some of the youngsters! Thanks for bringing him. Minor puppy bitch 1st TARAIEL AMAZING GRACE Outstanding quality for one so young, but no surprise from this kennel. She has everything in the right place, exactly what I'd be looking for in a puppy. Beautiful head which was strong but feminine, fantastic expression which she used to her advantage. The darkest round eyes & well placed rose ears helped create a lovely overall picture. Correct bite with a good amount of underjaw. Good length of neck, straight well-boned front with tight feet. Good amount of rib for her age, short in loin, level topline standing & on the move. She moved with purpose and drive. Looked the picture from any angle. Shown in excellent condition as well, she kept demanding my attention in final line up and was showing a bit of spark against the older bitches. I’m sure she will be made up! Pleased to award her the reserve CC. 2nd KENBLOOM TINKERBELL Stronger all over than first place. Still a nice little bitch. Would like a little bit more lift of leg just to give her overall balance. Good head, correct bite, dark eyes and well-placed rose ears. She was short in loin, good spring of rib, good angulations and moved and handled well. Puppy Bitch 1st KARWILLAGE DEVIL WOMAN It is lovely to see such a nice puppy coming through, beautiful headshape which was well defined, good muzzle length and she has a distinct stop, correct bite with large teeth and good underjaw. Her round eyes were well placed and when she used her ears she had a very pleasing expression. She has a good amount of bone for her age and a good front, her feet could be a little tighter but hopefully that will improve with age. She has a good topline and decent spring of rib and short in loin & well set tail. She moved well up and down the mat & her handler done a fine job in what i later learned was their first show. 2nd NORWEIGAN DIAMONDS SASS AND SWAGGER AT DUNORD Another strong yet feminine bitch with a very nice head, I could list much of the same attributes as 1st place on this girl too, she has excellent substance & is well boned and has plenty of rib, there was little between them but I just preferred the front on 1st place. She moved with drive and was well handled. Junior Bitch 1st AYMSTAFF SLAINTE AT CILEDOIRE Very nice young girl, feminine with good strength, She has a well-proportioned head, which is clean and has good depth throughout, distinct stop, dark round eyes, neat well-placed ears which when she uses gives her a very nice expression, correct bite with a good underjaw,. Very nice topline, good straight well-boned front & she has a decent amount of rib for her age, good angulations front and rear, she was shown in excellent condition, moved well up and down the mat. 2nd VALGLO TIGERLILY WITH STAFFMASTER A little stronger all over than first place. Strong head, correct bite with a good amount of underjaw, she has a distinct stop, good cheekbumps & her head had good depth throughout. Dark round eyes. Good straight front with enough depth of brisket, correct topline, I was nit picking between these 2 girls, 1st just pipped her to the post being a little shorter in loin, she has good angulations front and rear, moved & handled really well. Yearling 1st BROCKMAR STEAL THE SHOW Very nice young bitch, her head is strong yet feminine with good depth, correct bite and plenty of underjaw, she has dark round eyes, and well placed rose ears which she used to give a very nice expression, her neck was a good length & strong, she has a straight front which is well boned, i would have just liked a little more width. She was alert and on her toes the whole time she certainly knows how to show herself off. Good spring of rib, short in loin and good tuck up, she was shown in good condition and her handler got the best out of her. 1st TARAIEL AMAZING GRACE Winner of minor puppy 2nd CLASHDUBH IRON FIST AT COPPERSTAFF Decent headed bitch, not as much definition as 1st, she a good length of muzzle and well defined stop, dark eyes, correct bite, rose ears which were a little heavy set. Straight front with good bone and substance, good rib and short in loin, she has a level topline and was shown in fantastic condition, moved and handled really well. Post Grad 1st NORTHSTAFF THE IRON LADY Very nice feminine bitch with a very pleasing head shape with good ratio of muzzle to skull, well defined stop & correct bite with plenty of underjaw. Her dark round eyes and well placed rose ears gave her a very nice expression. Her front is straight and well boned and leads down to tight well padded feet. She has a good depth of brisket with enough rib & short in loin. Her topline was level standing & on the move and she has good angulations front and rear. Shown in excellent condition and moved and handled well. 2nd FOYLLFORSDAL MO SEIS Another classy bitch which showed well, she is a beautiful shade of brindle, she has a decent front, good topline and enough rib, good front and rear angulation. Nicely placed rose ears, round eyes and pleasing expression. She has a nicely shaped head, I just preferred the width of muzzle on 1st, and was shown in good condition and moved well. Limit 1st GLENSKYRA ARRAN AURORA FOR KARGONSTAFFS JW Feminine bitch who had everything in the right place, beautiful head and expression with dark round eyes, correct rose ears. Good muzzle to skull ratio with well defined stop and good depth to her head. Correct bite. Good straight front with tight feet. Good depth of brisket and decent amount of rib. She has a level topline and is short on loin. Good angulation front and rear. Another beautiful brindle whose coat was gleaming. She was shown in super condition. Moved and handled well. 2nd NORTHSTAFF THE IRON LADY 1st in post grad Open Bitch 1st CH FLASHSTAFF STORY TELLER BY AYMSTAFF I loved this bitch as soon as I put my hands on her. She has a strong well defined head but not over done with excellent depth throughout, clean strong muzzle, her muzzle to skull ratio was excellent and she has a well defined stop. She has a correct bite with large teeth and a strong under jaw. Her round eyes & well placed rose ears which gave her a beautiful expression when she used them. Her front is well boned & straight which leads down to tight well padded feet. She has a good depth of brisket and plenty of rib and short in loin. Her short strong neck leads into a level topline which she also held on the move, good croup and tail set. She was shown in fantastic condition, hard a nails! But it was her movement that sealed the win for her, she used her powerful rear end to propel her up and down the mat effortlessly and practically showed herself. Every angle I looked at her from was a pleasing picture. A well deserved Champion, one I wouldn’t mind having on my couch. Thank you for bringing her. CC & BIS 2nd IR CH LASANTA PRINCESS OF SATIP Another strong powerful bitch which was unlucky to meet 1st today. She was another that was shown in superb condition & that’s what got her this placing in one of the strongest classes of the day. Her strong head has good depth and she has a well defined stop, good cheek bumps, correct bite and plenty of underjaw, she has a beautiful expression with dark round eyes & well placed rose ears. In body she has much the same attributes as 1st place, I just preferred the little bit more lift of leg that the winner had. She moves well with good drive and her handler gets the best out of her. Veteran 1st ZAKSTAFF WINTERFELL JW Vet CH I’ve always loved this girl and I was delighted to get the opportunity to judge her. She is still in amazing condition for a veteran and would definitely give the youngsters a run for their money. She still possesses her strong yet feminine head with good definition, good depth of stop, strong cheek bumps correct bite and lots of underjaw, I love her expression and the sprinkling of grey makes even nicer! She has good substance throughout, strong straight front with good depth of brisket, she’s plenty of rib and short in loin. She still moves like one a fraction of her age, she held her topline while standing and on the move and she was well handled. 2nd KARGONSTAFFS KOKORO Another beautiful old girl with a really nice head and expression, dark round eyes and well placed rose ears. She has a good straight front with tight feet. Her strong neck leads into a good topline. I just preferred the over all substance and rib of 1st. Moved & handled well.
