My thanks to the Officers and Committee for this invitation to judge at your lovely show and to the exhibitors for giving me such a super entry of beautiful dogs to go over which were so well presented, and for your sporting acceptance of my decisions. And thank you to my two stewards Margaret Davie and Christine Borthwick for keeping things running smoothly.

Lovely tri of 6½ months with good bone, correct head with oval skull, ears set on low close to head, with appealing dark eye, clean neck into good shoulder placement and upper arm, lovely straight front and good feet, level topline and correct tailset, still a little roly poly on the move which you would expect from a baby, but moved out well

2nd CORFIELD INDIBROOKE FRIDA

Lovely head and skull shape, with dark eye, clean in neck good topline and tailset preferred the front and rear angulation of 1 and moved a little loose behind

Lovely bitch of 12 months with appealing head with good planes of equal length, dark eye and low set ears, good length to neck and lovely forehand with complimented hindquarters, short back, deep rib and level topline and tail set on well completed the picture, a bit loose on the move but ok, just pipped the minor puppy in maturity for Best Puppy Bitch & BOS Puppy in Show

Another lovely bitch B/B clean in outline with lovely head, dark appealing eye, correct amount of stop, pronounced occiput, clean neck into good forehand, lovely front and feet, firm level topline, and good tailset, moved well

Loved the movement on this b/b bitch, she is elegant and stylish, lovely head with appealing eye, correct oval skull, low set ears lying close to cheek, lovely long lean firm neck into good layback and return of upper arm, good firm topline which she kept on the move with lovely hindquarters used to advantage with lashing tail, Best bitch & BOS in Show

1ST HOWARTH’S SAMELEN ENCHANTO AT MOORBROOK

Stood alone but every inch a winner. Loved this young man of 11 months, with his appealing head of correct shape, oval skull and head planes of equal length, low set ears, good strong arched neck, level topline, depth of brisket and spring of rib, his forehand and hindquarters compliment each other with layback of shoulder and length to upper arm and a good bend of stifle, moved well with lashing tail Best Puppy Dog and BPIS

1st LAWSON’S SUMMERSEVE CEZANNE

What a cracker! Beautiful tri dog of 12 months, elegant in outline but masculine and well balanced both stood and on the move. He has a beautiful well balanced head with good dark eye, correct occiput, depth to muzzle and good ear carriage, a long lean neck into great forehand assembly with firm level topline and strong hindquarters and he moved with drive, love him!

2nd MCDOWELL’S BYDALES INSPECTOR CLUESO

Another good tri of good shape throughout, with lovely balanced head, good stop and shape to skull and depth of muzzle, strong neck into good layback of shoulder, deep chest, firm topline, arched loins and bend of stifle, just preferred the forward reach and drive of 1

1st WELSH’S GOLDBIRCH NORTHERN BLUES

 B/b, with good head long and lean with oval skull, dark eye, ears set on low, depth to muzzle, lean neck, shoulder with good layback, firm level topline and good rear angulation

2nd JOHNSTONE’S BALVENIE LOCH TUATH

O/b bigger all through than 1, good shape overall with good forelegs, level topline, short coupled with moderate angulation, preferred the head of one

A nice dog built on clean lines, lovely head, oval skull, kind dark eye, good length of foreface to length of skull with the right amount of stop, ears low set and close to head of good shape and size, lovely lean neck of good length fitting cleanly into shoulders, good angulation front and rear with correct topline and tailset, moved well

Another well balanced blue with lean head and correct length of foreface to skull ratio, neck long and lean into clean shoulders, strong level topline down to correct tailset, deep chest, good front and rear angulation with lovely bend of stifle, moved well

A fine upstanding tri, with a lot to like about him, from his well made lean head with dark eye, length and depth of foreface with nice turn of flew, lovely low set ears, clean neck long and lean, firm topline, deep brisket and muscular loin finished with good angles front and rear he presented a lovely picture and he moved well

2ND THOMSON’S MAURSETT MORGANITE FOR CASPELLWYND

Heavier in head than 1 and deeper in muzzle, but nice dark eye, strong neck, good forehand and hindquarters, good spring of rib and depth to brisket, firm topline and muscled loin, moved well

Such a handsome well balanced o/b, so well presented in lovely coat and condition, who flows from head to tail with a beautiful head and expression, balanced with depth to muzzle and nice turn of flew, kind well shaped eye, strength and length of neck with enough arch, well placed shoulders, would like a little more angle to upper arm, good depth to brisket and spring of rib, level topline to slightly arched loin, correct tailset lovely bend of stifle and straight hocks used on the move Best Dog and BIS

What a super trio of Veterans and all three with lovely movement. My winner is a super o/b of almost 8 years, another built of flowing lines and well presented, with handsome appealing head, long and lean with oval skull and kind dark oval eye and good stop, lovely reach of neck, muscular with slight arch, level back, and good over the croup to a good tailset, good front assembly with layback of shoulder and return of upper arm and complimentary hindquarters and short hocks used to advantage on the move Best Veteran dog, RBIS and BVIS

Lovely boy 7 years young with dark appealing eye, good reach of neck, short back and firm topline, arched loin good tailset, just preferred to overall finish of 1
