Breed: Irish Terrier

Many thanks to the Society for the invitation to judge and to the exhibitors for the entry and the sporting way in which the majority accepted my decisions. There were no cracked pads throughout the entry.

What a great class to start with

1ST Sonorra Enter The Dragon (Mr & Mrs Connell)

Top end, but beautifully balanced all through. Lovely head and expression, small dark eye, flat skull, well set dark ears, scored over 2 in backskull, good neck into well laid shoulders and straight front, well proportioned body, good topline and tailset, presented in excellent jacket. Moved well from all directions.

2ND Montelle All Is Bright at Sunnystone (ai) (Mrs G Thomas)

Another one out the top drawer, Head and expression Ok, flat skull, good neck and front balanced body, good topline, enough tuck up, well set tail, good rear angulations, good harsh jacket, moved well. Pushed 1 all the way.

Well balanced head with good chiselling, good dark, well set ears, good dark small eye, good skull proportions, good neck and shoulders, well balanced body, good tuck up, well set tail, racy in outline, outmoved 2

2ND Erredwiltsir All for Love (Mrs & Mr Hobson)

Presented in good coat, skull to muzzle ratio correct, lacked the chiselling of 1, good neck and front ok, well sprung ribs, good topline, longer cast than 1, rear angulations ok.

Open Dog (3,1)

1ST Holbam Midsummer Knight at Ruffmar (ai) JW (Miss M Ruffles)

Good skull to muzzle proportions, not the chiselling of 2 but good flat skull well set dark ears, slightly broad in backskull, dark eye, good neck and straight front, plenty bone, well bodied up, good topline and tailset, moved well, presented in good coat.



2ND Rufous Gubbeen of Cleeve (Mrs K J & Mr A R Oliver)

Lovely small dark eye, well chiselled foreface, a little narrow in backskull, good neck, ribs could go back a little further and a little less loin, good topline and tailset, racy out line, good side gait, presented in good coat and handled to advantage.

1ST Newguild Rythm (Mrs K & Mr C Hancox)

2ND Mcfinn's Betsy Boo (Miss E & Mr Jf Bennett & Kennedy)

Skull to muzzle length good, enough chiselling, dark eye, well set dark ears, broad in backskull, but flat. Good neck, would like a little more forechest, well sprung ribs, a little long in loin, lovely topline, held well on move. Tail could be a fraction higher set, good rear angulation, good side gait, presented in excellent jacket.

Veteran Bitch (2,0)

1ST Ch Kerrykeel Aobheann (Mrs K J & Mr A R Oliver)

Presented a good racy outline, lovely head and expression, good dark small eye, well set dark ears, flat skull, good neck, straight front, would like a little more width of chest, good body proportions, good topline, well set tail, racy rear end, good side gait, good jacket.

Heavier built all through than 1, head and expression ok, well set ears, good neck and straight front, Well sprung rib, strong loin, good topline, rear angulation ok, plenty bone all through, moved well from all directions.

Puppy Bitch (2,0)

1ST Pliquette Pandora (Mrs M Lovelace)

Racier outline all through than 2. Lovely head and expression, small dark eye, well set ears, good neck and front, balanced body, good topline and tailset, racy rear end, moved well from all directions.

2ND Dartmoorred Vixen Tor (Dr A Fitter)

Needs to come up on the leg a little, but she has plenty time, good head to muzzle proportions, dark eye, ears a little low set, good neck and front, fraction long in loin, good topline, presented in excellent jacket. Rear angulation ok, moved well.

1ST Ivyblue Red Sunlight (Miss V Lee)

Won this class on her head and expression, racy without coarseness, well set ears, good dark small eye, good neck and straight front, good rib, but too long in loin for me, lovely topline and tailset, good rear, moved well, presented in good coat.

2ND Peartree Primrose (Mrs E & Mr S A Jones)

Good skull to muzzle ratio, good dark ear, eye could be a little smaller, good neck, little wide in front, well balanced body, good topline and tailset, not the raciness of 1. Good side movement.

3RD Amberville Born to Fly (Miss S Le Couilliard)

1ST Eata The Great with Brazan (Mrs M Lovelace)

Racier and more feminine throughout than 2, Lovely balanced head, good ear set, lovely small dark eye, good chiselling, good neck and front, enough bone, well proportioned body, good topline and tailset, good rear end, moved well from all directions.

Head proportions fairly balanced all through, good eye, well set ears, a little broad in back skull, but flat, good neck and front, plenty bone throughout, well sprung ribs good rib to loin ratio, good topline held well on move, tail set not as straight as 1, rear angles good, moved well.
