Dachshunds Smooth Haired

The overall quality was not there today but I was pleased to award the major awards.

Junior Dog (1)

1st Ashby, Jaxinorydax Screenshot Dis, Red. 9 months old has sufficient to admire. Ears, eyes and expression correct. Plenty in neck. Ribbing is extended well back. Topline on the stack is level. Stifles are well bent. Hocks ok, bone and feet ok. On the move he was ok going away but does need to tighten up in front. Rather proud of his elbows at the moment but was well presented.

Postgraduate (3)

A disappointing class!

1st Sandell Wanderhund Grand Illusion red. Fair all through for overall breed type. Head shape is conical with plenty in neck with sufficient in forechest. Ribbing is carried well back with a firm topline. He is well angulated in his rear and stands on ok bone and feet. However, does need to settle on the move. His type won him this class!

2nd Halsall, Scipsar Just Give Me a Reason to Kiddles. OK all through for overall quality with many of the winners breed attributes. Sound enough, just felt that the winner had a better eye with good pigment.

3rd Ratsey-Woodroffe, Rippon, red, From Eversden Dachs Heart of Gold for Preziosa.

Limit Dog (2)

1st Chapman-Reith, West, Hayenhund Hunky Dory, BT. A pleasing exhibit to go over. Conical in head with good strength in foreface. Dark expressive eye plenty in neck with good fill in forechest with elbows kept well in. Ribbing is extended well back to a firm loin. The topline is solid which leads to a well angulated rear. He stands on the correct bone with neat feet, put his best foot forward on the out and back whilst holding his profile on the go around and was presented in good order . Today the RCC. Should get there with normal luck!

2nd Ashby, Rayol Dallas Cowboys at Jaxinorydax JW. He pleases in head, eye and expression with good dentition. Plenty in neck with a good fill in the forechest. Topline is solid with good underline. His rear is OK whilst standing on good bone and feet However, just not as positive on the move as the winner.

Open Dog (2)

Two exhibits that are different in type.

1st Williams, Moes, Int Ch Caerula Caeli FC) B/T. New one to me who screams correct breed type not only for overall make and shape. On inspection he has a correct conical shaped head with strength in his foreface. Super eye and expression. Plenty in neck which flows in a clean well laid shoulder with good fill in his forechest with elbows kept well in. Topline is solid with good underline. He is well angulated in his rear while standing on strong parallel hocks. He is ideal for overall size whilst standing on quality bone with neat compact feet. Putting his best foot forward on the out and back and holding his profile on the go around. He was presented in excellent coat and condition. CC today and should gain his crown with ease Can only be an asset for this talented breeder/exhibitor for future breeding plans!

2nd Rycroft Rycroft, Ch Jacksondax Hornet Hurrah Trisensra JW B/T. Has plenty to admire all through. Correct head, eyes and expression are all good. Plenty in forechest, ribbing is extended well back whilst topline is level. He stands on the correct bone with neat feet whilst he was moving out parallel. I just felt that the winner was putting more in, but is a worthy “Ch”.

Veteran Dog (1)

Heels, Ch Daxanory Menacing Dennis, Red 7 years old. Pleases for overall breed type. Head, eye and expression are all correct. Body proportions display good balance. Today carrying a little too much wrinkle on legs but still moves well on the out and back.

Special Beginners D/B (3)

1st Mills Cedavoch Squall at Greyvista , 9 months, red. Pleasing exhibit as her breeding would suggest. She is feminine in head which is of the correct conical shape. Correct almond shaped eye with correct dentition. Plenty in neck with a clean front assembly. Ribbing is extended well back. Body outline displays good balance while standing on quality bone with neat compact feet. Once she settled she displayed a free flowing stride. Should continue to do well with normal luck. BSB and BPIB. Congratulations!

2nd Sandell, Louise Wanderhund Gand Illusion (see Postgraduate Dog)

3rd Somerton Teoni Jaxnorydax Gossip Gal 9 months, red. Fair all through but does need time to come together all through.

Veteran Bitch (1)

1st Stark, Ch Adnerbs Won Vision of Gobbannium JW, 71/2 red. Smart individual of obvious merit. Feminine in head which has the true conical shape. Clear in eye with plenty in neck with good fill in forechest. Topline is solid with ribbing extended well back to a firm loin with a good underline. She is well angulated in her rear with well developed thighs. She stands on quality bone with neat compact feet. On the out and back she was positive whilst holding her outline at all times. BV and a fully deserved RCC today. Congratulations!

Puppy Bitch (2)

1st Mills, Cedavoch Squall at Greyvista (see SB)

2nd Small, Clentry Waking in Memphis, red. OK all through for type. Had eye and expression correct. Plenty of neck with sufficient ribbing. Bone and feet are good. Does however need to settle in her rear movement, this should correct itself in time.

Junior Bitch (1)

1st Ashby, Jaxinorydax Causing Chaos, 9 months b/t. Feminine in head which is of the correct conical shape. Dark oval eye. Plenty in neck. Ribbing is extended well back. Correct in topline and underline. Bone and feet good. General body outline on the stack displays good balance. Just needs to come together on the move. Hopefully with more maturity this wll correct itself.

Postgraduate Bitch (1)

1st Rycroft, Rycroft Raajputs Dancer Divva with Trisensara JW, 21 months B/T. Appeals for overall god breed type. Correct conical shaped head with a dark oval eye. Plenty in neck with fill in forechest. Ribbing is extended well back to a firm loin Topline is level with good underline. She is well angulated in her rear and stands on the correct bone and feet. Moved out ok on the out and back and was well presented.

Limit Bitch (4)

1st Ashby, Royal Pumpkin Pie at Jaxinorydax 3 year old red. Has plenty to admire all through. Feminine in head which is of the correct conical shape. Correct dark oval eye with good dentition. Her neck flows into a clean front assembly with good fill in forechest. Ribbing is extended well back to a firm loin. On the stack she displays a pleasing profile, however a little less wrinkle on legs would be to her advantage. Moved out ok both ways.

2nd Star, Gobannum Made of Honour JW 3 year old red. Another with plenty to admire all through. Head eye and person all correct. Plenty in neck with good fill in forechest. Ribbing is extended well back with a solid topline and correct underline. She stands on good bone and feet. Again another that was not settled on the move but will continue to catch the eye.

3rd Chapman-Reith, Hayvenhund Hissy Fit.

Open Bitch (2)

1st Mills-Jones Moes, Williams Cwmdarhian Pina Colada 18 month red. All quality with so much to admire all through. Feminine in head which is of the correct conical shape with strength in foreface and correct dentition. Clear oval shaped eyes all finished off with well placed ears. She excels in neck which flows into a clean front assembly with good fill in forechest with elbow kept well in. Her ribbing is extended well back to a firm lion which leads to a well-angulated rear. Topline and underline is spot on. Standing she displays a pleasing profile whilst on the move she displays such an easy reach and drive whilst holding her outline at all times. She was presented in excellent order. No hesitation CC and BoB. She is banging on the door of the upper house and I predict she will wear her crown sooner rather than later!.

2nd Ashby Raajput’s Canadian Winter with Wakywilks 2 1/2 B/T. OK all through for overall bred type. Head eye and expression are all correct. Plenty in neck with fill in forchest. Ribbing is ok whilst standing on good bone and feet. Not the rear drive of the winner but was well presented.
