The Parson Russell Terrier Club Championship Show - 12th July 2026

It was an honour and privilege to be invited to judge at the Show today. It was a very hot day but all the dogs and handlers coped very well. I would like to thank my stewards who did a great job keeping things moving for me. Special thanks to all the exhibitors who entered under me and for accepting my decisions so kindly.

Best Baby Puppy Dog (1)
1st Evans Bellvalley Rooster, 5 months old and full of potential. T/W pleasing outline, good fore chest, standing on nice tight feet, slight rise over the loin, good tailset, rear angulation good and moved well both away and back. Easy to span, coat and pelt good.
Best Baby Puppy Bitch (2)
1st Wood’s Vixenview Blizzard, very feminine youngster, T/W just 5 months old, head proportions good, nice dark eye, nice reach of neck, slight rise over the loin, good tailset, good coat and pelt and easy to span, moved well.
2nd Smith’s Halshimoor Highlight of Alncroft lots to like about this youngster, T/w head of good proportions, nice dark eye, good earset, lovely outline, nice tight feet, slight rise over the loin, easy to span, good coat and pelt. Just needs to settle but time is on her side, another youngster who has a very bright future in the ring.

1st Collis’s Ch Riplington See your Dreams, Tri with excellent head proportions, nice dark eye, good earset. Good harsh coat, slight rise over the loin and good tailset. Rear angulation good and moved well.
MPD (1)
1ST Casson’s Cassjoebar Rough Diamond T/W youngster nice dark eye, wedge shaped head, good ear placement, nice length of neck flowing into good shoulder placement, carried a nice outline on the move, covering the ground with ease, easy to span, good coat and pelt.
PD (2)
1st Baker’s Pacolito Veni Vedi Veci A real quality youngster, keen eye, good ear placement, good dentition, wedge-shaped head. Nice length of neck flowing into well laid shoulder, top line firm with a slight rise over the loin, tail set very good. Nothing overdone and put down in excellent condition. Great coat and pelt, easy to span and very well balanced. Best puppy in Show.
2nd Hughes Ruffntuff Topgear Tommi Another lovely T/W puppy, wedge shape head, correct dentition, dark eye, good earset, firm topline with slight rise over loin. Balanced on the move, easy to span, good coat and pelt. Slightly overwhelmed with the heat today but has a promising future.

1st Bigland’s Heythrop Tempura This dog ticked all the boxes for me, nothing exaggerated. At 2 years old he has matured nicely, wedge shape head, good dentition, ear set and nice dark eye. moderate length of neck flowing into good shoulder placement, strong top line, slight rise over the loin and correct tail set. Nice straight front legs, good rear angulation showing plenty of drive. Balanced on the move. Was pleased to award him DCC and BIS.

1st Mitchell’s Foxfur Espionage for Rodzina JW a real showman this one, who was so in tune with his handler. Lots to like about this 2 yr old, wedge shape head, nice dark eye, good earset, easy to span, good proportions, good strong top line, correct tail set, rear angulation good , in profile and on the move retained a good outline.
2nd Newport’s Crosscop Claudius at Mindlen presented in excellent condition, wedge shape head, good pigmentation, dark eye, correct ear set, good lay of shoulder and strong top line with slight rise over the loin and good tail set. Nice harsh coat, easy to span and moved well.

1st Smith’s Belvalley Blackhawk of Alncroft T/W just under 18 months. The word stunning comes into mind when you see him, put down in excellent condition. Head proportions good, real dark almond eyes, good ear set, neck flows into the correct shoulder placement, strong topline with slight rise over the loin, good tailset. nice straight front legs on tight feet, good rear angulation giving plenty of drive.Pushed hard for DCC but pleased to award him RDCC and RBIS.
2nd Bigland’s Heythrop Toptag Head proportions good, lovely keen dark almond eye, good ear set, lovely flow from neck into well placed shoulders, kept a good top line on the move, slight rise over the loin and well set tail. Easy to span, good coat and pelt, very balanced dog and well handled.

1st Casson’s Ch Mindlen Hendricks at Cassjoebar I have had the pleasure of judging this dog before, first as a puppy when I said what a great future he would have then the second time awarding him DCC and BOB, today he didn’t disappoint and at 5 years old has matured well. A very well constructed dog, perfectly balanced, lovely shape head, correct dentition, nice dark eye and good earset. Good coat and Pelt and easy to span, held a good top line on the move with well set tail. Moved well around the ring

1st Roberts and Murray’s Ch Mindlen Moccasin Tri bitch just moved into Veteran. Such a quality bitch of good proportions, wedge shape head, nice dark almond eye, good ear set, clean muscular neck of good length, good coat and pelt, easy to span, strong top line and slight rise over the loin, good rear angulation providing her with plenty of drive.
2nd Bigland’s Heythrop Tangletop T/W quality bitch, so alert and confident. Head proportions good, correct bite, dark eyes and correct ear set. Front legs straight and strong standing on compact feet, very easy to span, good top line and tail set. Moved with Drive.

1st Mitchell’s Rozina Remember Alice. My goodness what a lovely feminine puppy just 6 months old with a lot of confidence. Lovely proportions, nice wedge shape head, keen dark eyes, lovely flow of neck into shoulders. Coat and pelt good, easy to span, Moved and handled well. A bright future for this young lady.

1st Baker’s Pacolito Notorious I believe is litter sister to the BPIS. lovely feminine puppy, excellent dark eyes, wedge shape head of correct proportions, good ear set. coat and pelt good, easy to span, put down in excellent condition and at only 10 months she is maturing nicely. Good rear angulation giving her plenty of drive. Pushed hard for BPIS but awarded her RBPIS.
2nd Wood’s Wayward Got You Lovely expression, nice dark eyes, wedge shape head of correct proportions, good ear set, held a strong top line on the move with correct tail set, coat and pelt good, put down in excellent condition, moved well with plenty of drive.

1st Shakeshaft, McCluskey & Young’s Bardrain’s Lady of Chadbrook A very feminine bitch who caught my eye as she moved round the ring. Well balanced with good proportions, easy to span, good wedge shape head, correct ear set and keen eye. Excellent coat and pelt and held a correct top line on the move. Well handled. Moved effortlessly and I was delighted to award her RBCC
2nd Stone’s Auldtoby Life on Mars T/W very feminine bitch, wedge shape head, nice dark eyes and good ear set. Coat and pelt good and very easy to span. balanced on the move and held a good top line with slight rise over loin. Very well handled, dog and handler are so in tune with each other.
3rd Jacob’s Gonetoground Pallas Athena

1st Newport’s Digaden Miss Marigold T/W bitch presented in excellent condition. Good wedge shape head, nice dark eye, correct ear set, easy to span, good coat and pelt. Good length of neck, held good top line on the move, correct tail set. A very balanced bitch who moved well.
2nd Shakeshaft, Kemp & Kemp’s Chadbrook Risk and Reward into Levushka T/W well shaped head with dark eye and feminine expression. Coat and pelt good and easy to span. Held a good top line on the move showing a slight rise over the loin, correct tail set, moved well.

1st Bigland’s Heythrop Taranna There was lots to like about this bitch, lovely tri of good proportions, Wedge shape head, lovely dark eyes, good ear set, excellent coat and pelt. Easy to span, Good length of neck holding a good top line on the move, correct tail set.
2nd Roberts and Murray’s Ch Cassjoebar Caledonia from Mindlen JW Very feminine bitch of lovely proportions, wedge shape head, nice dark eye, correct ear set, nice flow of neck into shoulder, held a good topline with a slight rise over the loin, tail set good, moved with drive.

Champion Bitch (1)
1st Casson’s Ch Pacolito Going fur Gold at Cassjoebar Full of breed type and really on her toes. Good wedge shape head, nice dark eye, good ear set, neck flows well into the shoulder placement and holding a strong top line and well set on tail. Put down in excellent condition, good coat and pelt, easy to span, nice straight front legs on compact feet. Excellent hind quarters and moved with plenty of drive. Was pleased to award her BCC and Best Opposite Sex.
