Midland Rottweiler Club Championship Show – 11th July 2026

I would like to thank the committee for the invite to judge this show, it’s always an honour to judge at a breed club show and I thoroughly enjoyed my day. The show came with a few headaches forthe committee due to the extremely hot weather but everything possible was put in place to keep dogs and exhibitors cool as could be. I would also like to thank my two stewards Kelly and Kayleigh who kept the ring running smoothly. All dogs present had super temperaments. Also since Ijudged both my dog and bitch CC have gained their titles, well done to you both.

1st Mrs H Case, Vedonis Let There Be Love. 17 weeks old, super puppy who has lots of character,she has a clean head, dark eyes and well placed ears. Dark mouth pigment, rich markings .Goodbone and substance. Lovely shape and outline with correct body proportions. Movement wasloose as expected at this age but she coped well with the heat and moved with enthusiasm andenjoyed her time in the ring. Best Baby Puppy In Show.

2nd Mr P J & Mrs N K Hazelwood, Hausschutz Vhagar. 5 month old was much finer all throughthan my winner .Good clean head with well placed ears and dark eyes and mouth. Clear defined markings. Moved well but she just needs time to mature.

MINOR PUPPY DOG (2,1A)

1st Miss J Aspinall, Magglynn Von Hermes. 7 months old ,mature puppy with excellent boneand substance. Tight feet and clear tan markings .Head is clean with moderate wrinkle, eyes are dark and ears are well placed. Flews could be tighter but are dark. He makes a lovely shapestanding and has good body proportions. Correct tail carriage. Moved with purpose but was a little close behind. Best Puppy Dog and Best Puppy In Show.

1st Mrs M & Mrs V Monk & Jones, Olearia Westfalen One Love. 11 month old ,good sized male with good bone and substance and tight feet. Lovely head and expression with medium eyes and lovely black mouth pigment, well placed ears .Nice rich tan markings with good front and rearangles. Longer in loin. Moved soundly holding himself well.

2nd Miss J Aspinall, Olearia Westfalen The One. 11 months old, litter brother to the winner. Masculine male with good bone and substance, loved his head and expression, dark eyes, lovely rich markings, correct front and rear angles, good top and underline. Moved okay but wasn't coping well with the heat.

JUNIOR DOG(5,2A)

1st Miss A & Mr D Hewit & Francis, Just Ask Qarson O'Shea At Infinity Rott(imp Sweden). 15 months old, lovely young male who needs time to mature. Good size with good bone and substance and tight feet. Lovely head and expression with dark eyes and well placed ears .Nice rich tan markings with good front and rear angles. Good width of second thigh, correct top and underlines. Moved soundly with lovely side profile and in super condition.

2nd Mr M & Mrs J M Powell, Riversrock Silver Ghost. 13 months old. Less mature than my winner. Small male, he has good bone and substance, good front and sooty markings on front legs. Pleasing head with dark almond eyes and well placed ears. Moved soundly with good reach in front and lovely side profile, carried tail high.

3rd Miss S L Daly Deltarott, Lightning McQueen.

YEARLING DOG (2)

1st Mrs J & Mr T Bradley, Taneven Danjo JW. Another nice 20 months old male with good head and expression, dark eyes and good ear set and dark mouth pigment. Good straight front, tight feet and level top line. Good width of second thigh and correct tail. Moved soundly holding his top line at all times.

2nd Miss C A Moss, Chantavorys Wonder Boy. Young male 20 month old with good bone and substance, good front, excellent top line, slightly longer in loin. Would prefer less angulation on the rear. Pleasing head with dark almond eyes and dark mouth pigment and well placed ears. Moved soundly with good reach in front and lovely side profile, carried tail well.

POST GRADUATE DOG(3,2A)

1st Mr M & Mrs J M Powell, Bottlierskop Silver Sceptre for Riversrock. 3 year old male with good bone and substance and tight feet. Lovely head and expression with medium eyes and black mouth pigment, well placed ears. Nice rich tan markings with good front and rear angles. Good top and underlines. Moved soundly holding himself well with correct tail.

LIMIT DOG (4,3A)

1st Miss E L & Mr R Disney & Takyar, Javladare Badaboom. Good sized male 2 year old, with excellent bone and substance. Clean strong head, with lovely expression and good ear placement. Dark almond eyes with dark mouth pigment. Good front and rear angles with correct body proportions and excellent width of second thigh. The heat affected him on the day and he didn't move out as well as my cc winner but he was still very worthy of his RCC.

OPEN DOG (3,2A)

1st Mrs W Steel, Upend Fletcher. This 2 ½ year old male stood out for me he has super breed type and a great temperament. I loved everything about him and he wasn't at all phased by the heat. He has a lovely clean head with black almond eyes and excellent expression. Super front construction with excellent bone and tight feet. Short compact body type with strong rear quarters. Strong straight top line with excellent tail carriage. He held his shape on the move with an effortless ground covering gait, he could go all day. I was delighted to award him the CC and Best in Show.

CHAMPION DOG (4,3A)

1st Mrs M & Mrs V Monk & Jones, Ch Westfalen Olearia Team Spirit JW. Small male 3 year old who has a clean head, dark almond eyes and dark mouth pigment. He has a lovely tranquil expression. Straight front with tight feet. Long in loin, with strong second thigh, I would prefer more length of leg. He carries his topline which he held on the move with sound movement. Carries his tail well.

VETERAN BITCH (6,3A)

1st Mr C & Mrs N Window, Ch Stairvale Faith. 9 year old female who is in super condition. A lovely head type with dark eyes and mouth and well set ears. Well of for bone and substance. Rich tan markings and correct tail set. Tight feet and pasterns. Good front and rear angles, good reach of neck with good forechest and compact body. Sound mover with good reach and drive a worthy champion. Best Veteran In Show.

2nd Mrs V & Mrs M Jones & Monk, Ch Olearia Western Girl from Westfalen. 8 years old with feminine head and lovely expression, dark almond eyes and close fitting ears. Good bone and substance, nice rich tan markings, tight compact feet, good top and underlines, moved soundly with good tail carriage.

1st Mr G Mullhall, Hilda Von Der Crossener Ranch (imp Deu). 11 Months, good sized female with a delightful temperament. Feminine head with dark eyes and well placed ears. Correct angles front and rear, excellent second thigh. Moved well round the ring. Best Puppy Bitch.

JUNIOR BITCH (5,3A)

1st Mrs A J Davies, Shalkato Fire and Water. 14 months very showy girl with a pretty feminine head with dark eyes and good mouth pigment with good ear set .Nice bone,Lovely rich tan markings with excellent body proportions and a level top line ,good forechest .Moved with purpose with lovely side profile with good tail carriage. Loved her character.

2nd Mrs S J Twigg, Riversrock Silver Princess Von Te ys.13 months, much finer boned than my winner. Feminine head with dark eyes and lovely expression. Correct body proportions with good topline. Good front and rear angles, good second thigh. Correct tail set. Moved well.

YEARLING BITCH (5,4A)

1st Mr S & Miss T Jackson & Rogerson, Taneven Delta. 20 months old with a beautiful head and expression, dark eyes and mouth pigment and well placed ears. Excellent front and rear angles with good width of second thigh. She has super tight feet. Excellent rich mahogany markings. Strong top line which she held on the move with good reach and drive and well carried tail. Loved her enthusiasm and super temperament.

POST GRADUATE BITCH (10,7 A ,1 moved to open)

1st Mrs J Eyre, Chantavorys Cupid. Medium sized 20 months with feminine head and lovely expression, dark almond eyes and close fitting ears. Good bone and substance, nice rich tan markings, tight compact feet, good top and underlines, moved well with lovely side profile and good tail carriage.

2nd Miss V Ackerman, Englishpaws Linnet. 3 years old with good bone and substance well placed ears and dark eyes, good front and rear angles, would prefer less weight. Correct tail set, The heat was a affecting her today as she wasn't moving out.

1st Mr A & Miss W Baille & Topping, Rottsworth My Girl von Stairvale JW CJW25 IRJCH. 2 year old, Lovely head and expression with dark almond eyes and dark mouth pigment. Good front and rear angles with excellent bone and substance. Level top line which she held on the move with super reach and drive and well carried tail. RCC

2nd Mr T & Mrs P Borne, Starrossa Dance With Me At Trevearl Lovely head with dark eyes, good ear set, clear tan markings. Excellent bone and substance with tight feet. Good front and rear angles, good top line which she held on the move, Moved soundly with good tail carriage, would prefer less weight on her.

1st Mr P & Miss W Topping, Rottsworth Molly Von Stairvale. Absolutely loved this female she is a real show girl, she has a beautiful head and expression, dark well shaped eyes with correct ear carriage. Good reach of neck with lovely shape and clean outline, good bone and substance, excellent front and rear quarters with tight feet. Strong Level topline held at all times. It was a real pleasure to watch her move, lovely reach and drive with excellent side profile. Good tail carriage. Was pleased to award her the CC and Reserve Best In Show.

2nd Mrs W Steel, Upend Fizzical. Litter sister to my DCC. 3 years old, lovely feminine head with dark well shaped eyes, good reach of neck with good bone and substance and tight feet. Nice rich tan markings, lovely shape with compact body and good top line, excellent front and rear angles. Moved with good reach and drive and correct tail carriage.

1st Mrs J & Miss C Eyre & Moss, Chantavory Je Vous Amie. Good sized female with good bone and substance, lovely rich markings, feminine head with dark eyes and mouth. Good top and underlines, nice rear angulation with good second thigh, super tight feet, good tail set. Moved out well with good reach and side profile.
