Merseyside Boxer Club

Breed: Boxer
Merseyside Boxer Club Championship Show Sunday 19th. April 2026 I would like to thank Marion and the Merseyside committee for inviting me to judge bitches at their Championship show. Also, my two stewards for a sterling job keeping things moving smoothly. I always enjoy the Merseyside shows, there is a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my day. There was a variation in type amongst the bitches. Gone are the days when you could tell just by looking at the dogs which kennel they came from. Heads were generally good, albeit of different styles, and mouths were a bit of a mixed bag. Fronts lacked forechest, however few lacked rear angulation. Overall movement has improved from the last time I judged. I was pleased with my final lineup and will follow their future careers with interest. Minor Puppy Bitch (3, 1ab) 1st. Brown & Hutchings Miss & Mr J & T. Winuwuk Seasons In The Sun 9mth. R/W of good size. Balanced outline with good angles front and back. Pleasing head with lovely eye and good lip placement. Would prefer a little less wrinkle to forehead, but head still to develop. Good foreleg height, level topline and correct tailset. A little loose on the move, but she has time on her side. 2nd. Pearce & Francis Mr & Mr G & D. Longsdale Sweet But Psycho 7mth. B/W. Smaller than 1, but still with substance. Well balanced square outline with forechest and rear angulation. Good bone and feet which she used with purpose to motor round the ring. Pleased to award her BPB. 2nd. Payne Mrs A. Willow Take My Breath Away (IKC) 10mth. Dark B/W. Lighter cast than 1, and still to develop. Clean front with evident forechest and rear angulation. Pretty head with kind dark eye. Good rise of skull, balance muzzle and good mouth.
