Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) - Puppy Dog Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1ST 108 - Soletrader Puppet Master (Mrs S, Mr O & Miss E Robertson) What a beautiful puppy a few days away from his first birthday, He has a masculine slightly domed head and dark oval eyes, ears are correct, he has a long strong neck, and is completely balanced with well angulated front and rear quarters, and a deep chest. He is well ribbed back with level topline and his movement is effortless with great reach and drive. In the challenge for BOB he looked so good with his tail set on high and tail carried proudly, and his tremendous reach in front separated him from a lovely champion bitch. Best Puppy. Best Dog BOB Group Shortlist and Puppy Group 4 2ND 99 - Rangali Franknfurter (Miss M & Mrs H Allenby) The opposite end of the age group at 6 months and another very typical example of the breed with correct head and expression, well balanced body with excellent bone and substance. He has correct proportions, a coat of good texture and moved freely with purpose around the ring. So well schooled for his age and an absolute credit to his owner/breeder 53. Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) - Junior Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 114 - Probert Doc Martin (Mrs H T Wheeler) 15 months of a good type, Good skull, stop and muzzle and ears of good length and moderate neck. I would like him to have better feet. He has a good front assembly with nice depth and moderate bend of stifle. He was lots of fun and enjoying himself and moved a little erratically, but he was sound. 54. Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) - Limit Dog Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1ST 111 - Cynetkoy Charlie Brown (Mr S D & Mrs A S Watson & Kenna) 20 months masculine head of good shape and width and good stop. Dark oval eye, ears set low, supple and of good length. Good neck into well laid shoulder good topline and depth, tail well set on and carried well. Strong hindquarters and moved with a nice free stride. Reserve Best Dog 2ND 109 - Afterglow Curtain Call avec Roxastan (Mrs R Townsend) 6 years old, his head is a good shape and well balanced, he has dark oval shaped eyes, and a really nice expression. His shoulder could be a tad better laid, and a little more length of neck would be beneficial and his coat was rather soft. He has good bone and feet, and strong and muscular hindquarters, and moved fairly well. 55. Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) - Open Dog Entries: 2 Absentees: 1 1ST 113 - Cynetkoy's Heihei (Mr S D & Mrs A S Watson & Kenna) 3 year old, pleasing head of correct proportions, nice dark eye and correct placement and length of ear. Good neck into well angulated shoulder, elbows tucked in and front well under body. On the move he wasn’t really paying attention and didn’t really cover any ground. 57. Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) - Puppy Bitch Entries: 3 Absentees: 2 1ST 98 - Rangali Columbia (Miss M & Mrs H Allenby) Brother of 2nd in puppy dog and has similar attributes, a beautiful young lady of good breed type, super head, strong neck leading into a well laid shoulder, tight feet and good depth, has a rear to complement her super front and a very sound free mover, and she was very skillfully handled. and presented. 58. Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) - Junior Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 112 - Cynetkoy Double Trouble (Mr S D & Mrs A S Watson & Kenna) 10 months with a delightful head and expression, good eye, correct ears, good length of neck. Her shoulder is well laid, I would like to see better return of upper arm. She has a good topline and she moved very well with reach and drive. Reserve Best Bitch 59. Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) - Limit Bitch Entries: 4 Absentees: 1 1ST 101 - Tangaer Iced Bun (Mr R D & Mrs C A Fleetwood) Very nicely put together 2 ½ year old with pleasing head and eye, super neck into well laid shoulder, good topline, and good depth of chest, excellent spring of rib and hindquarters. She moved out well but was lacking in coat. 2ND 105 - Probert Calypso (Mr & Mrs R Moore) 3 year old bitch of good breed type with lovely head and expression, well laid shoulder and good strong hindquarters. On the stand she was roaching her topline but was better on the move 3RD 110 - Overbecks Esme Shelby at Roxastan (Mrs R Townsend) 60. Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) - Open Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 100 - Ch Soletrader Fun Times for Rangali JW (Miss M & Mrs H Allenby) Very balanced and super quality bitch of 4 years, oval head, lovely dark eye, good ears, long strong neck, completely balanced with well angulated front and rear quarters, deep chest, well ribbed back, with strong loin.
