City of Birmingham 2026 GREYHOUND Judge: Maggie Holder Class 1021 VD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 2070 HOWDEN, Miss Ellie & HOWLETT, Ms Michaela & HOWLET Skyswift New Moon 10 year old mainly white boy of a lovely type, I have always liked him and feel his virtues far outweigh the fact that he slopes off a little bit too much in rear. Presented in great condition he has good bone and excellent feet, and he has a lovely head with kind expression and well set ears. He is well bodied in good muscular condition, strong long neck and deep chest. He moved out well in all directions, I hope he enjoys a long and happy retirement. 2nd: 2079 SADLER, Miss Julie Final Quattro 8 year old black who is also in great condition with a super shine on his coat. He is good for balance with a well shaped head with oval eye, rose shaped ears, lovely expression, muscular neck and good shoulders. His tail is well set and carried low and he moves very true coming and going. Class 1023 JD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 2066 BOGART, Mr Gary & well laid shoulder BOGART, Mrs Elaine Ch Sobers Kendrick At Incitatus (Imp) It This young boy has a lot to like but was very unsettled today and not giving a good account of himself on the move. He is well boned with good feet and presented in hard condition. I liked his head, good bite and strong underjaw, he has a long strong neck into a well angulated forehand has a good topline and well made hindquarters. Best Junior 2nd: 2081 SMALL, Ms Eimear & SMALL, Mr Emmett & SMALL, Ms Ai Jet's Time To Play Of Kilgharra Very raw brindle youngster of just a year old giving a lot away in age in this class, one that will benefit from maturity and allowing his topline to settle. His head is lean and typical, with an oval eye and well set rose shaped ears, his neck fits well into his shoulder, and he has well angulated hind quarters. The handler did a good job as he was very playful especially on the move he just needs time to grow and learn to stand over the ground . Class 1025 LD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 2071 HOWLETT, Mrs Michaela & HOWDEN, Miss Ellie Rubicon's Don't Stop Believing (Imp USA) Rising 4 year old scoring in maturity and general overall curvy outline and fluidity of movement. I would like more refinement in his head but he is a nicely boned boy with a strong neck, good lay of shoulder, he has a strong loin which could do with a little more arch, and a good flow to his underline and he makes a good shape standing. Very true coming and going and a lovely stride in profile. 2nd: 2073 JAMES, Mrs Emma & JAMES, Miss Imogen & AHRENS PRIM Sobers Jannik Sinner At Simkhan (Imp) It Strongly built 2 year old white boy, a different type to winner but lots of attributes, he has a very nice head and expression, good bite and strong underjaw, ears are small and rose shaped and neck is well muscled, his fore quarters are nicely angulated but would like a tad more infill. He has a good topline and underline, sound on the move but would like more reach in front and drive from the rear. I would like a little more spring to her ribs, she has a good topline and sweeping underline and she is still very sound. Just lost out to the younger veteran as her hindquarters are showing signs of weakness. I understand that she and her brother who won veteran dog are retiring today they are both a credit to the owners and are still in great condition. Class 1032 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 2069 HARRISON-STRATFORD, Mrs Kerry Southpoint Absolut At Highwick (Imp) Port 15 months red, I like her very houndy outline she has a super head with long flat skull, and a long muzzle with some chiselling, neat ears, correct eye shape. Her top line is good, she needs a bit more spring to her ribs, but she has a nice curvy underline. She is incredibly light on her feet and moves out well with good reach and drive. Had she come back in the ring for Best Junior she would have won easily on her movement.
