Puppy Dog Stakes

1. Chaytor & Halliday’s Aarminias Made In Chelsea at Ramita. Whippet. Lovely male of quality and pleasing type. He is quite raw but has excellent proportions to drop into and his outline is already curvy and smooth. Excels on the move where he is so light on his feet, covering good ground with accurate footfall.

2. Havard’s Annavah Top Notch. Beagle. Masculine puppy dog but of a good size and proportions. Lovely balance to his head with a pleasing expression from his dark eyes. Well made and in good body. Would prefer a thicker stern. Holds his outline in profile with a long stride, but can settle a little coming towards.

Puppy Bitch Stakes

1. Havard’s Annavah Crème Caramel. Beagle. Delightful tan and white bitch who is full of type and quality. Beautiful head and expression, with well set leather. Long neck and excellent front. Level topline and a well set, sturdy tail. Super pasterns and feet. Moved soundly and with drive in all directions. Thought she was lovely!

2. Gold’s Ravenheim Blue Mystique of Llassah. Norwegian Elkhound. Lovely feminine bitch who impressed for her leg length and overall proportions. Balanced head with good length to foreface. Pleasing overall outline with good flow of neck into shoulder, and holds a firm topline. Balanced, moderate rear. Accurate and easy mover.

Junior Stakes

1. Bell’s Indiko A Touch of Cream at Tolberg JW. Dachshund (Miniature Long-Haired). Judged this young bitch as a puppy and awarded her well on the day back then. She still pleases me no end for her lovely balance and overall construction. Well balanced head, with dark eyes and good strength of underjaw. Good in neck and excellent front construction. Totally balanced in her rear. She holds her level topline on the move where she she has such a balanced and lengthy stride, totally true coming and going also. Quality through and through, lovely!

2. Hodge’s Colkeririn To The Nines JW. Rhodesian Ridgeback. Another I have judged as a puppy and did well too. This young lady really shows herself off to advantage showing off her long neck which is set smoothly into a well laid shoulder. I would like a fraction more return of upper arm. Typical outline and shown in excellent condition. She is super sound on the move with an easy gait.

Yearling Stakes

1. Collier’s Jayanel Alfabeti Spageti. GBGV. A really smart young dog who is so typical in proportions and outline. Masculine head of correct proportions, with well set ears. Well made front with tight elbows. Plenty forechest, good ribbing and short in loin, holding a firm topline. Impressive mover with an active stride and good carriage.

2. Butters & Theobald’s Molesend Ibis of Breskar JW. Beagle. A good sized, feminine bitch who presents a clean and flowing outline on the stack, holding it on the move too. Liked her head proportions with a lovely expression. Neck flows into a fairly well made front, she is well off for ribbing and body. Excellent feet. Moved well, if not with the activity and charisma of the GBGV today.

Post Graduate Stakes

1. Bell’s Indiko Cast in Cream at Tolberg JW. Dachshund (Miniature Long-Haired). Litter sister to the winner of the Junior Stakes and of the same standard of type and quality, what a lovely litter. Indeed many of the same comments apply here and her construction and soundness firmly secured her first place.

2. Porter’s Ottaryx Chaos (AI) JW. Otterhound. Still only a young bitch but is well bodied throughout and presents a good outline. Particularly impressive flow of neck into shoulder, she is well made through the front with plenty forechest. Good for bone and large enough feet. Wouldn’t want any less hind angulation but uses it to full potential moving. Scored here on the move where she was so light on her feet for her size and substance, and with good football both ways.
