LEEDS City & District Canine Association 25/7/2026 – Reports Lois Wilson on Australian Cattle Dog

Thank you to the club for the invitation to judge this breed, I was very involved in the Club in South Africa during its formative years. My stewards Anne Defaye and Ian Scott Briggs ensured the correct dogs were in the ring and all the paperwork correctly done. AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG – JUDGE Mrs Lois Wilson PD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: GREENHILL, Mr Rob Didgeridont The Alchemist, a lively youngster at his first show, inquisitive. Good proportions, head developing well for age, scissor bite, dark eyes, ears a little soft. He did keep his four feet on the floor for a short while, movement loose as you would expect at this age. Blue in colour with correct coat. JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: GREENHILL, Mr Rob Evaland Vuk Imp (Lv). CC Dog & BOB. Blue male of good size, excellent head proportions with plenty of width, visible stop, eyes dark with “the glint”. Scissor bite, firm erect ears. Good flow of neck over shoulders into level topline. Correct tail set and carriage. Balanced angulation, neat feet. Movement improved every time he stepped back in the ring, has a lot of energy. Coat of correct texture and colour.

PB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: BAILEY, Mrs I. M. & BAILEY, Mr T.A. Alira Redheart Linden Algona At Bryndingo Imp Svk. Best Puppy in breed RCC Bitch. A well-proportioned youngster, developing well for age. Feminine but not weak. Changing from puppy coat to adult, a nice red colouring in under coat, thick bushy tail correctly set. Brown patch on head, eyes could be more oval in shape. Moderate balanced angulation, topline needs to firm up. A nice mover. 2nd: GREENHILL, Mr Rob Didgeridont Evil Edna. Litter sister to male puppy, just as lively and outgoing. Still very much a baby puppy, and enjoying her day, she did at stages, have 4 feet on the ground. Blue with black patch on head and upper part of tail. Movement still needs to firm up. JB (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: JEBSON, Miss K Austmans Just One Look. Pleasing proportions, bottom of size. Blue with black patches evenly over head. Not so sure of the ring and this showed in her movement. Needs more front angulation, low set tail tucked under body. Moving, crabs to start, then straightens. Not much reach and drive.

LB (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: GREENHILL, Mr Rob Nymph Carpain Dingo. Blue in colour bushy tail with “Zebra stripes”. Better on the move than standing, bottom of size, round bone, good dense double coat, but would like a harsher texture. Moderate angulation, level topline. Broad skull, bite could be better, quite vocal, moved true. OB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
