Breed: Puppy Group - Working
Thank you to the judges who sent through some excellent examples of their respective breeds, they all were of great quality. I shortlisted the Alaskan Malamute, Boxer, Bullmastiff, Great Dane, Newfoundland, Russian Black, St Bernard, Siberian Husky. I was so glad we had cover for the dogs to retire to the shade whilst others were being judged. Group - 1st Place 4916 - Rarjo The Cross of Macduff, Breed: Portuguese Water Dog (Mr B C & Ms L G Williams & Newton) Most delightful female, with great attitude and beauty. She has the most captivating expression, from her beautiful dark eyes. Correctly proportioned head supporting well placed ears, good stop, and balanced muzzle with good bite and good width to underjaw. Super conformation which reflected in her movement, good shoulder, and front, Prosternum evident, compact body, well ribbed back and short in loin, level topline, excellent hindquarters, with firm parallel hocks, and well carried tail. She has a super coat and in good condition groomed to perfection. She has that style and dynamic on the move that you can’t ignore, she has great reach and drive displaying energy and perfect foot fall. I think you will have a lot of fun with her, she is the consummate showgirl loved her. The future is bright. Group - 2nd Place 4860 - Siberiadrift Dark Night, Breed: Siberian Husky (Mrs E & Miss P Ranby & Hughes) 8 month old male with so much potential. Awarded him the res cc, and best puppy, another striking boy that has the most beautiful head and expression, so typical of the breed, with well carried ears, almond obliquely set eyes, good bite and dentition, with symmetrical head markings of black and white. He has excellent conformation, well balanced forehand with good bone and feet, good layback of shoulder, good return of upper arm, in good sturdy body, strong in loin with level top line and well carried tail. His hindquarters perfectly balancing forehand, with width to thigh, and sturdy parallel hocks, he moves with reach and dive maintaining the elegance and footfall. In super coat and condition, another star of the future. Group - 3rd Place 4814 - Kalaslane Nutty Irishman for Halaura NAF TAF, Breed: Russian Black Terrier (Mrs T & Mr P Kerrigan) Sturdy strong youngster with super outline and carriage. Masculine head of correct proportions, well placed ears, dark eyes, and balanced foreface and muzzle, and correct dentition. He is strong in body, with good conformation, and bone. He has good shoulders And return of upperarm, good depth of chest prosternum evident , Developed ribcage and short in loin. Balanced hindquarters, with good muscle and broad thigh, he has a level topline and well carried tail. He has a good reachy stride with good footfall for a large puppy, in good coat and condition. I look forward to watching his career in the future, a real good start. A very eye catching powerful dog. Group - 4th Place 4832 - Chandlimore Rock Robin, Breed: St Bernard (Miss Kl & Mr C Forster & Spencer-Gray) Couldn’t resist this young man. A very fit and great moving youngster. Masculine head with correct proportions, correct in top skull, clean dark eyes, giving super expression, well placed ears, balanced muzzle and foreface, correct bite and dentition, strong underjaw. He has a compact sturdy body, excellent shoulder front and feet, well ribbed back and short in loin, good depth to chest, good topline and tailset, shapely hindquarters with solid paralell stance, with good width to thigh. His beautiful red and white coat gleaming. He is so agile on the move, with excellent reach and drive holding his shape and outline. Another with a very bright future, such a stunning boy.
