Southern Counties Canine Association
I would like to thank Southern Counties for the invitation to award my first set of CC’s. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day, my lovely stewards kept the ring running smoothly and made my appointment a wonderfully smooth experience.
I had many quality dogs to go over and thank you to all those who entered.
Veteran Dog (3) – 1st Tammux The Willows Converse (Mrs J Moorcroft). 7 year old Black and Silver with a harsh coat and good furnishings of correct colour. A lovely well proportioned head, dark eye and neat expressive ears. Good length of neck in to well laid shoulders, slightly sloping topline and a good tail and carriage. Slight forechest, good length of upper arm. Good ribs and depth, strong loin. Rear quarters nicely matched front. He was nicely muscled throughout. Was slightly distracted on the move but when he pulled it together he showed off nice reach and drive, came back well in front and away from behind.
2nd – Kopykats Private Eye (Mrs S Aldworth). 8 Year old Pepper and Salt with a good harsh coat. Ok in head, dark eye and well set ears. Good neck in to topline. Well ribbed and good depth to body. Front and rear matching and nicely muscled. He was slightly longer than one so lost the balance of one when stood. He moved well in profile.

For age has a nice forechest developing, good spring of rib and depth. Well laid shoulders and return of upper arm, nice flow of topline. Short in loin. His rear is nicely angled to compliment his front giving him balance. Lovely tail set and carriage. Well muscled which showed when moving as he was accurate front and back and showed reach and drive in profile.
2nd - Marnimica Witch Hunta (Ms C A Johnson). 7 months old Pepper and Salt, another with good texture coat coming through. A good length of head, with dark eye, well set and used ears. Many of the same applies, he is developing forechest, had spring of rib and depth to body. Well laid shoulders and good upper arm. Rear matching his front to allow on the move good reach and drive and accuracy front and back. Another with good tail set and carriage. He too had nice muscle tone. I just felt one was slightly shorter in loin so just had the edge on balance. He too should have a good future.
