Scottish Kennel Club All breed Ch Show- Coton De Tulear - Critique 17 May 2026- Judge Lee Grogan (Grovina)

Thank you to the officers and committee of The Scottish Kennel Club for a return invitation to judge at your well run shows. It is no easy task to run one successful All breed Ch show, let alone two on the same day! It was an honor to be on a panel alongside judges I have admired since I first started showing at 12 years old. My super stewards in both rings kept everything running so smoothly, which made my job easier. Thank you to the exhibitors for your entry!

This puppy made his handler, and me work for his placing! I loved his overall size for his age. He has such a handsome headpiece. Slightly rounded skull with good width. Excellent pigmentation. Rounded eyes, dark and so full of expression. Loved his overall proportions. Excellent neck with slight arch. Good topline with slight rise. Well carried tail. Coat of nice cotton texture coming through. He put us all through our paces with assessing his movement. He walked in stages, with his handler, next to me, in many different directions, but each time he moved so smooth and happily. His temperament is the sweetest, I am sure he’s an absolute pleasure to live with. To his owner, keep going, and keep having fun! Best Male Puppy, Best Special Beginner In Breed and Reserve Best Male.

Masculine dog, of the most wonderful size, shape and outline. Beautiful headpiece, with slight stop. I loved his ratio of muzzle length to skull, aiding his triangular appearance with eye and nose placement. He had the largest of open nostrils. Dark eyes, round in shape, well placed with dark eye rims to enhance expression. High set ears, beautifully feathered. Excellent mouth. Nicely laid back shoulders, and substance throughout. Well sprung ribs. Slight rise to topline, not exaggerated in any way. Well set tail, nicely carried both on the move and standing. Beautifully presented coat of excellent cotton texture, free from wooly undercoat. He moved so well in all directions. Best Male & BOB.

1st - Cukoton Too Hot to Handle (Mrs J & Mr S Scott)

Litter sister to the Puppy dog, and packed full of type, just like him with many similar comments. However, this very pretty girl has a better handle on movement than her brother! She moves so well holding a nice outline. I adored her overall size and shape. Her headpiece is so feminine, with the prettiest of expressions, excellent pigmentation and wonderful round and dark eyes. Coat of excellent cotton texture coming through. Her movement, size and shape secured her Best Puppy over her litter brother. Reserve Best Female and Best Puppy In Breed.

Nearing 12 years of age, what an honor she was to judge! I am sure many have already commented on her beautiful headpiece, with excellent eye size, round in shape. High set ears, beautifully feathered. Still retaining her excellent shape, both on the move and standing. Her coat is of the most wonderful cotton texture, so well presented. She moves as if she is much younger than she actually is. A total credit to her owner and the breed! Best Female, Reserve Best of Breed and Best Veteran in Breed.
