South of England Pomeranian Club – Open Show
Saturday 7th February 2026
Judge – Lauren Brown (Altina)
Firstly, I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at their prestigious club open show — a show I have exhibited at since I was a little girl, and one that now marks a huge milestone in my judging career. It is an appointment I will remember forever.
A special mention goes to Michaela Hills for being so accommodating and organised. Although she has only recently taken over as Secretary, she was very professional and welcoming that you would have thought she had been in the role much longer. I wish her and the club nothing but the very best for the future. My stewards on the day, Clarry Hills and Devon Lambert, were fantastic. They ensured everything ran smoothly and efficiently, and I’d like to give them a huge thank you as well.
I was delighted with an excellent entry of 58 Pomeranians, making 72 entries in total. Thank you to everyone who entered, exhibited, and offered such lovely compliments about my judging. It was a pleasure to go over all your dogs, and I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
Class 1: Baby Puppy Dog (4 entries, 1 absentee)
1st - BEINAROVICA, Miss L – KINETICPOMS BRIGHT FLAME
A very promising 4-and-a-half-month-old, orange boy. Very pretty head with a short compact body. Typical puppy coat but trimmed to perfection, with his vibrant orange colour shining through. He was a true showman, very attentive to his handler and moved around the ring without putting a foot wrong. Good ear set and used them well. Pleasure to award him BBPIS.
2nd – PIKE & CARTER, Mrs J & Mrs A – BREEZELYN IGNITED INFERNO
Another promising baby, 4-and-a-half-month-old wolf sable. His coat already changing to a harsh adult texture and a lot of it. Lovely wide head with perfect scissor bite. Neat ears just needed to use them more. Well-bodied and stood square. Just needs the confidence as moved well once he got going.
Class 2: Baby Puppy Bitch (6 entries, 2 absentees)
1st - PIKE & CARTER, Mrs J & Mrs A – BREEZELYN CRIMSON INFERNO
The litter sister to second in the previous class. A very pretty cream bitch that demanded a lot from her handler. This was her first show, and she loved going around the ring, just needs more training which will come with age. Nice head with neat little ears and correct eye. Her coat already changing and presented beautifully.
2nd – JOHNSON, Miss L – AMARDICA HALO OF DREAMS
5-month-old, black bitch. Slightly longer in muzzle than I would prefer, nice expression. Correct bite. Very attentive to her owner and showed well. Still had her puppy fluff but this is very appropriate for her age, trimmed to perfection with a nice outline. Longer in body than 1st but will be a good dual-purpose bitch.
Class 3: Veteran Dog or Bitch (2 entries, 1 absentee)
1st – SLOUGH, Mrs G – SPECIAL EDITION OF PERSIMOONE JW VW (IMP UKR)
8-year-old orange dog. Wonderful to go over this veteran that I have seen in the ring many times over the years. He was presented beautifully with a large, full coat and huge plume. He was always on his tiptoes that were neatly trimmed. Glided around the ring and stood square, a true showman. Pleased to award him BVIS.
Class 4: Minor Puppy Dog (1 entered, 0 absent)
1st – CAMPBELL, Miss E M – KLASSNA PRIME STAR AT DIEMZS
8-month-old, rich orange sable in adult coat. Trimmed nicely with a large plume over his back. His head was longer and narrower than I prefer but had a perfect scissor bite. Correct ear set and just waiting on coat around his head. Crabbed slightly on the move but this was due to him being so attentive to his owner.
Class 5: Puppy Dog (5 entries, 2 absentees)
1st – NIVEN-LEWIS, Mr R – ROSTELLARS OSTENTATIOUS
11-month-old, pale orange dog. Short and compact, the perfect shape and size for a male. He was perfectly presented, with a large plume creating a gorgeous silhouette. A very pretty head with correct scissor bite and neat little ears on top that were used well. He moved well and always stood on his tiptoes. Pleased to award BPD, RBPIS.
2nd – JOHNSON, Mrs L – ELEGANT ATISTOCRAT TAI LAURAS AT STARTORI
10-month-old, bright orange dog. Large coat that made him seem big but going over this boy discovered he was smaller than I originally thought. He had a longer, wider head than first but still pretty. The only thing that let him down was his confidence. He was great on the table but was wary on the move and occasionally stopped. Looking forward to seeing him once he builds his confidence.
Class 6: Junior Dog (3 entries, 0 absent)
1st – SMITH, Ms S – CH SUEACRES CATCH A DREAM JW
16-month-old, dark orange sable dog. Wow! It was a pleasure to go over this little boy. Although young, has already got many great attributes that will only improve with age. He has a very pretty head with a perfect bite and neat attentive ears. In junior coat but was presented beautifully, great short and compact silhouette. He flowed around the ring and was a true showman for his owner. Pleased to award him BD & BIS.
2nd – ELLEN, Mrs L K & Mr J A – KLASSNA THAT’S MY DREAM
16-month-old, rich orange dog. Nice head with perfect bite. Moved with purpose and was excited to get around the ring, slightly wide at the front when walking. Huge coat that was trimmed to perfection, also had thicker legs which I prefer.
Class 7: Novice Dog (2 entries, 0 absent)
1st – HILLS, Mr C & Misses M & M – SHARHAZLAH’S DEVIL ON FIRE
10-month-old, orange dog. Lovely expression, slightly long in muzzle but perfect bite. Although young, he had almost completely transitioned out of his puppy coat and had a large plume covering his back. Moved OK. Stood four-square and very attentive to his owner.
2nd – BAIGENT, Mrs Z - BAROMAR DARK KNIGHT
21-month-old, black dog. Unfortunately missing his undercoat with a slightly longer head than I prefer. However, he had a perfect bite and was in great condition. Glided perfectly around the ring. Looking forward to seeing him once he grows his coat back.
Class 8: Post Graduate Dog (2 entries, 1 absentee)
1st – MACLAINE, Miss S – PENNYGOWN TIKTOK
Almost 2-year-old, orange sable. This little boy stood alone in his class but made such an impact. A very pretty head with correct bite – although needs more confidence on the table. He was in perfect condition, large plume and he had a very large coat which made him seem twice the size he is! Moved nicely and stood four square. Pleased to award RBD.
Class 9: Limit Dog (5 entries, 1 absentee)
1st – NEVIN-LEWIS, Mr R – ROSTELLARS SUPER MARIO
14-month-old, orange dog. Nice head with perfect bite and in great condition. Presented neatly with smart, small ears. Eyes were slightly squinted in shape and moved ok. Stood four-square and created a nice silhouette.
2nd - ELLEN, Mrs L K & Mr J A - KLASSNA MAGIC TOUCH
3-year-old, orange sable dog. Slightly longer in head than I prefer with a perfect bite. Large coat that was groomed neatly. Slightly bigger in size than first and moved well. Great condition and very attentive to his owner.
Class 10: Open Dog (3 entries, 0 absent)
1st – SMITH, Ms S – CH SUEACRES CENTRE STAGE JW
2-year-old, orange sable dog. It was lovely to see this boy again after judging him at a previous show. Nice head with round eyes and perfect bite. He was short and compact and moved perfectly around the ring. Learnt afterwards he was the older brother to BIS!
2nd - ELLEN, Mrs L K & Mr J A – KLASSNA MAN OF MYSTERY
4-year-old, orange dog. Another dog I had the pleasure of going over again from a previous show. Pretty head with a large coat. Moved OK. Trimmed neatly and his feet were also neat and upright. Larger ears than first but hidden by his huge coat. Created a lovely silhouette when stood.
Class 11: Minor Puppy Bitch (2 entries, 0 absent)
1st – VAN DE BURGT & STRANGE, Mr C & Mr D – GILLIPOM NORTHERN LITES AT NORVANIK
8-month-old, orange sable bitch. This little girl is stunning, and I am looking forward to watching her successful career in the future. She has a very pretty head, with neat little attentive ears. She is short and compact all over. Has a lot of puppy fluff that you can see her rich colour shining through. She flowed nicely around the ring and was always upright on her toes. Pleased to award her BPB & BPIS.
2nd – SLOUGH, Mrs G - LILROSA’S SOLO
7-month-old, orange bitch. Also, currently in the middle of changing her coat with her rich orange coming through. Longer in muzzle than first and moved OK. Very attentive to her owner and showed perfectly.
Class 12: Puppy Bitch (3 entries, 0 absent)
1st – CAMPBELL, Miss E M - ORAYSHA NEW ROMANCE AT DIEMZS
11-month-old, rich orange sable bitch. She has already changed into her adult coat and looks great with a large plume over her back. She has a very pretty head with a perfect bite. Ears were neat and small, also sat at the perfect height. She moved well around the ring and was always on her tiptoes.
2nd – PIKE & CARTER, Mrs J & Mrs A - BREEZELYN TARKA MOONSHINE
9-month-old, orange bitch. Less mature than first and longer in muzzle. Correct bite. Tendency to high step at the front but may settle with age. Very attentive to her owner. Will be a nice dual-purpose bitch when she gets older.
Class 13: Junior Bitch (5 entries, 0 absent)
1st – DAVEY, Mrs N - KLASSNA DREAM ABOUT ME
16-month-old, rich orange sable bitch. A great size, with large adult coat presented to perfection. Pretty head with a good scissor bite. In great condition with a large plume covering her back. Good ear set hidden by her coat. Moved well round the ring and stayed up on her toes.
2nd – BAIGENT, Mrs Z - IN TIME POMS DAYDREAM BELIEVER (IMP BGR) NAF
13-month-old, orange bitch. Longer in muzzle than I prefer but lovely expression. Good size, just not as much coat as first but this will come with age. Huge plume over her back and moved well around the ring. Pleased to award BSBIS.
Class 14: Novice Bitch (1 entry, 0 absent)
1st – KNOTT, Mrs J – NORVANIK BOW BELLS
21-month-old, orange sable. A well-bodied, dual-purpose bitch. A pretty head with a good bite. Has a long coat but just needs the undercoat to hold it up. Moved perfectly around the ring and stood well.
Class 15: Post Graduate Bitch (6 entries, 1 absentee)
1st – JOHNSON, Miss L - AMARDICA FIREFLY OF DREAMS JW
Just turned 2-year-old, rich orange sable bitch. She has such a pretty head with a perfect bite and good ear set. In perfect condition and trimmed neatly. Has a long plume over her back and neat feet. Glided around the ring and was very attentive to her owner. Looking forward to seeing how she gets on in the future once she fully matures.
2nd – BAILEY, Mrs A J - CRAIGIVAR BLACK BRAMBLE
Almost 3-year-old, black bitch. Another pretty girl with a large amount of coat. Bit slower in movement and would love to see her use her ears more. Nice head, small ears and well bodied.
Class 16: Limit Bitch (5 entries, 2 absentees)
1st – JOHNSON, Miss L – VIP POM STARS POKER PRINCESS FOR AMARDICA (IMP SRB)
18-month-old, orange bitch. Very pretty with perfect expression and bite. Nice round eye with a huge coat that was trimmed to perfection. Large plume over her back and she glided around the ring on her tiptoes. Just wanted her to be slightly heavier but that will come as she matures. Another one to watch! I was very torn between her and Open for BB, those two could switch places at any time. Since writing this critique I have learnt she went on to win BOB at Crufts 2026 which I am not surprised! Looking forward to watching her in the future. Pleased to award her RBB.
2nd – PIKE & CARTER, Mrs J & Mrs A - MI MISUZI’S FLOWER POWER FOR BREEZELYN (IMP NOR)
3-year-old, orange bitch. A nice, well-bodied dual-purpose bitch, large coat that was neatly presented. Nice expression, slightly larger in ear than first. Moved well and was attentive to her owner.

1st – CAMPBELL, Miss E M - CH IN TIME POMS NEW BEGINNINGS AT DIEMZS (IMP BGR) JW
2-year-old, orange bitch. A bitch I previously had the pleasure of judging when she just came out of puppy. It was lovely to see how much she has matured and since the first time going over her, gaining her crown. Beautiful rich orange coat that was presented beautifully, her long plume going over her back. Pretty head with a nice expression and round eye. Perfect bite and great in overall size. Moved perfectly around the ring and attentive to her owner. Pleased to award her BB & RBIS.
2nd – SMITH, Ms S - LIREVA’S JUST ON A FLUTTER AT SUEACRES
