Breed: Collie (Smooth)

Junior Dog (3,1)

1st: Lusty’s Blamorder Masterpiece. Only 9 months. Super head on this young dog. Presents a lovely well blunted clean wedge with enough length. Well positioned stop. Excellent parallel head planes. Strong underjaw. Almond shaped eyes which are set slightly obliquely. Ears are well set. Lovely neck flowing to super shoulders. Great return of upper arm. Good bone. Chest reached to elbows and ribs are carried well back. Needs to broaden a little in front as he matures. Muscular body. Firm topline with a slight rise over the loins. Well-turned stifles and well set and carried tail. Super mover. Loved him. BD

2nd: Denton’s Coldelee Take It To The Limit. Another promising one here with lots to like. A handsome dog. Good length of head and well positioned stop. Does have a blunt wedge. Bit deeper through than 1st and not quite such good parallel head planes. Front has good even bone lengths but slightly more open angles than 1st. Deep chest and ribs carried well back. Slightly square in outline. Strong topline with slight arch over the loins. Good turn of stifles and low set hocks. Well set and carried tail. Not quite so precise as 1st on the move. RBD

Veteran Bitch (1,0)

1st: Lusty’s Ch Blamorder Ice Cream Dream VW. Such a classy lady of a really good type. Pretty head of good length. Good parallel head planes and nice blunt wedge. Lovely almond eyes with lovely sweet expression. Well set ears of correct size. Lovely, elegant, muscular neck. Well laid shoulders and upper arm returns enough. Slight slope to pasterns. Deep chest which is broad behind the withers. Firm topline. Muscular loins. Well bent stifles. Low set, strong hocks. Tail set and carriage ok. Excellent mover. RBB, BV

Junior Bitch (2,1)

1st: Jerrett’s Coldelee Busy Bein Fabulous. Head is long enough but stop could be positioned slightly better to improve balance as she looks slightly too long in muzzle compared to skull. Great parallel head planes. Super almond eyes and well set ears. Neck is moderate in length. Balanced angles fore and aft, Good bone. Chest reaches to elbows. Topline slopes slightly down. Well bent stifles. Correct tail set and carriage. Sound mover. Lots of maturing to do.

Post Graduate Bitch (1,0)

1st: Geddes’ Texforrier The Whole Shebang At Ingledene (Imp Fin). Quite strong all through for my preference, Head is strong with blunt wedge. Decent parallel head planes. Well positioned stop. Eyes are almond in shape, could perhaps be slightly darker in colour. Ears are ok for set. Neck is moderate in length. Balanced angles fore and aft. Deep chest. Firm topline. Slight arch over the loins. Low set hocks. Good tail set and carriage. Moved soundly but was a little unsettled by having to be taken by a different handler.

Open Bitch (2,0)

1st: Jerrett’s Coldelee Eternal Sunshine JW. I really loved this bitch. Super feminine head of good length with well positioned stop. Excellent parallel head planes, Beautiful, dark almond eyes and she has the sweetest of expressions. Ears are ok for set, shape and size. Lovely outline. Slightly longer than tall. Well-turned stifles. Muscular thighs. Low set, strong hocks. Perfect tail set and carriage. Free and effortless on the move and lovely out and back. Super bitch. How is she not a Champion? BB, BOB

2nd: Aus Ch Talcott Tiffany Stalker of Blamorder (Imp Aus). Head has good length and is well balanced. Blunt wedge. Deeper through than 1st and slightly stronger for a bitch than I prefer. She has a slight roman nose. Eyes are almond in shape. Ears are ok for shape and set. Elegant neck and quite well laid shoulders, Really good upper arm. Nice bone. Slightly sloping pasterns. Deep chest reaching to elbows and ribs carried well back. A little steep in pelvis and a tad long in lower thigh. Low set, strong hocks. Tail reaches to hocks. Moves soundly and covers the ground very well.
