CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
SUNDAY 8th FEBRUARY 2026 DOGS
DOGS
A relatively small but quality entry, I hadn’t judged Dogs for 8 years and I found I was presented for the first time largely with a generally consistent type, size and shade of gold with some lovely young dogs coming up through the ranks. As always I am looking for a dog capable of fulfilling a day of work, most importantly soundness on the move in all directions and biddability. I believe on the whole most of the dogs presented today would be capable of that function given the opportunity.
Thanks to my very efficient stewards and to the committee for the invitation and warm hospitality. Best in Show, went to the Dog Sh Ch Sandti Back Of The Net on the referee Richard Morris’ decision, who also decided that the Bitch Brekswood Honey Bee JW should be Reserve Best in Show and the Veteran Dog Bowshella Rough Diamond be awarded Best Veteran in Show. My co-judge Caron French and I agreed on the Puppy Bitch Fenpique Royal Glow for be Best Puppy in Show.
