Italian Greyhound

I would like to express my appreciation to the officers and committee for giving me the opportunity to judge the Italian greyhounds and thank very sincerely the exhibitors for showing under me today I thoroughly enjoyed the breed a lot of the youngsters were a little appreciative to move and cooperate on the table but they showed promise and I’m sure the owners will have better days ahead. I would like to thank my very capable steward Linda Pierson who was not well. I really appreciated your service today and wish you a speedy recovery.

1 Amsel Ch Florita Tavalino 12 years old and looking marvellous. Still with full dentition, pleasing head with lean cheeks. Long slender neck and excellent body proportions throughout. He moves true back and forth. A lovely dog of correct size and balance. I was really pleased to see him strutting his stuff in the big ring to take group two in the strong toy group. BVIB

1 Wallace Horne Gemolli Dream Come True At Pashiquo standing alone, he shows a lot of promise for the future. I like his size and overall balance, has a pleasing head, good mouth, nice neck and shoulders. Well-let down in the rear. He was difficult to assess on the move so hopefully he’ll get his act together.

1 Wallace Horne Gemolli Ray Of Hope At Pashiquo this puppy certainly shows off his virtues better. A very elegant puppy with a lovely head, flattish skull, long elegant neck and a well-proportioned body. He needs to put more into his movement but certainly a promising puppy with a bright future.

1 Hague Ristretto Super Charty At Laborghini (Imp Pol) black & white of ideal size, three years old with much to admire. Well balanced head and nicely balanced body. He has good ribs set well back and a short loin, well-let down in rear and a sound and confident mover.

OD (6, 1) A strong class. I liked them all.

1 Chau & Steele Ch & US Gr Ch Jaros Ferazi Et Tu Brute At Sfizimio DCC & BOB the best moving dog in the entire???. He has a classic head, flattish skull, neat well-set ears, long elegant neck. Good length of rib, short loin, and true action on the move. I was delighted to add to his tally of Challenge Certificates.

2 Lister Ch Florita Turbolento and unlucky to meet the winner. Another with a well-proportioned head, super neck, and shoulders. Has a very good outline standing and on the move. On top of that he is a lovely size RDCC.

1 Hague Silhouettigs Lil Missouri At Laborghini b/w a well put together puppy with a well-constructed body. A pleasing head with lean cheeks and good mouth. Looks very elegant on the move. She was more settled than the second.

2 Henshall Gemolli Just Irresistible a nicely put together puppy that was to say the least very reluctant to show. Her many virtues of today I liked her size, and she is a very pretty puppy who does need time.

1 Hayden-Smith Birchwind Morning Star my notes say beautiful bitch. She took my eye as she entered the ring. She is ideal for size and quality. Her head is just lovely, as is her long neck. Ideal body proportions and her movement was brisk and true both ends. I liked her very much, so it came as no surprise that she is a CC winner already. She was unlucky to meet the more mature Open Winner, however, a bitch with a bright future RBCC.

2 Henshall Gemolli Perfect Harmony I really liked this well put together puppy. She looked lovely particularly in side profile on the move. She moves true both ways. Has a lovely feminine head, neat well-placed ears, well-proportioned throughout. Not as advanced in development as the winner. I was very happy to award her BPIB.

1 Henshall Gemolli Wildest Dream yet another quality puppy. Has a lovely, elegant head, good well-set ears, and has a lovely expression. Another that should go on to do some decent winning.

LB (4, 0) a nice class of quality

1 Amsel & Hayden -Smith Birchwind Aurelia this bitch is another that catches the eye when entering the ring and on closer inspection she didn’t disappoint. I loved her size and overall balance, short loin well set ribs, long graceful neck, good body proportions. In the challenge she could have put more in on the move but a good, honest bitch.

2 Henshall Gemolli A Million Dreams JW this lovely bitch ticks many boxes, ideal size well-balanced throughout could have put more into her showing.

1 Lister Florita Tesoruccio I couldn’t find anything to fault this wonderful example of the breed. Very feminine head, long elegant neck and her proportions are top notch. She’s a joy to judge on the table and I was praying she would move as well as she looked. She didn’t disappoint and in a tussle between the young junior bitch I just felt she was more finished and I was delighted to award her the BCC only to be told it was her third. Congratulations on your new champion.

2 Knight Ch Aelaro It's All About Me a beautiful b/w of ideal proportions. She is lovely to go over and there’s very little that I didn’t like. Lovely head, correct ear set, nice well-placed eyes, elegant neck and shoulders and sound steady movement. This was the same as the Open Dog class very strong.
