I would like to express my sincere thanks to the exhibitors, as well as the hard-working officers and committee, for giving me this opportunity. There was plenty of laughter and good sportsmanship throughout the day.
Special thanks go to Lesley Elliott and Judith Haynes for stewarding all day—your efforts were very much appreciated, as was the lovely lunch.
The exhibits were all presented in excellent condition, and temperaments, as expected, were fantastic. I found quite a variety in type, which is the norm these days across all varieties. Size was very varied, particularly in the males; some are becoming too big, with coarse heads—this is something that needs watching.
I did note a few exhibits out at the elbows, with upright shoulders and narrow hindquarters. Coats can only mask faults, not correct them.
At present, the bitches appear superior, and I was spoilt for choice in the challenge—I could easily have awarded three or four tickets.
Overall, my winners were very pleasing indeed, with my Best Puppy going BPIS and my Veteran going BVIS. Congratulations to all concerned.

Veteran Dog (2)
1st: ROBERTS Swansford Gabrieldor
What a start to my day, getting my hands on this chap again after seven years. Apparently, I awarded him BP and RCC as a puppy—what a star he remains, both in the ring and in producing quality offspring. Presented in hard condition, his coat was in full bloom without distracting from his outline. He has a correct head with good eye shape, a long neck, well-angulated shoulders, correct forechest, wonderful bone and feet, good ribbing, and a short loin. His quarters are well angulated with correct rear pasterns. He moved with purpose, maintaining his outline at all times. RCC, Best Veteran, Best Veteran in Show.
2nd: GARLICK Ranglewood Harvest Song
Another I have seen before—a quality old gentleman still in good, hard condition. He has many good attributes and represents the soundness and quality of established bloodlines. His full coat slightly obscured his outline, and movement was a little sluggish, but he is entitled to take things easier now.

Minor Puppy Dog (1)
1st: HANNEY MITCHELL Bronia Luciano
A well-developed, correctly sized 8-month-old puppy. He has a strong yet elegant head, good shoulder angulation, tight elbows, excellent rib length, and a firm topline. His hind angulation is correct, with good front reach and drive. He moved true from all angles. His coat texture is lovely and shows off his outline well. He has a bright future as he matures. Best Puppy Dog.

1st: RODRIGUES Sujarah Dare to Dream
An 11-month-old male of very nice breed type, shown in excellent coat and condition. He does not need to grow on much more. He has a pleasing head and expression, a clean neck, and a good front assembly, though still slightly loose in elbow. Good legs and feet, well-ribbed body, and nice quarters.

1st: GARLICK Rangelwood Christmas Star
A stylish, smaller type with an elegant head of good proportions and dark eye. Good reach of neck, well-filled forechest, tight elbows, and correct forehand. Ribbing is carried well back, with well-let-down quarters. Moved soundly with drive. A promising youngster.

Yearling Dog (4,1)
1st: LACEY Abydezi Shades of Glory
Larger and taller but the soundest in the class. Fine head with good proportions and dark eye. Good neck, well-filled forechest, tight elbows, correct forehand, and ribbing carried well back. Well-let-down quarters and sound movement with drive.
2nd: PARTRIDGE Rangelwood Xmas Cracker to Riveroyal
Preferred his size over the winner. Masculine head and good neck length, with good front angulation leading to a well-sprung rib. Hind movement is adequate, though I would prefer more angulation for greater drive, as he is a little wide at present. Coat in good order and not distracting.
3rd: O'NEILL Rangelwood Phoenix at Donnadach
