Three Counties Agricultural Society

Breed: Cirneco Dell'Etna

Cirneco Dell’Etna

I was asked to step in to cover this Breed from the originally selected judge so thanks to the exhibitors for their friendliness without exception, and to my two super Stewards who had a long session with a couple of breeds in before this one.

Junior Dog (1)

1. McDonnell’s Triquetra’s Nutcracker dark tan male up to size displaying a lovely clean outline, flat back skull, good foreface & eye, ears erect, good strength to his neck, forelegs straight, feet good, nice straight topline, excellent body condition, hindquarters strong, fluid mover, Best Dog.

Limit Dog (1)

1. Hillyar & McDonnell’s Kinabula’s Solitaire nice for overall shape with square outline, finer in bone & is moderately narrower in head to previous class winner, oval eye & decent pigment to match, viewed from the front would prefer more infill, lovely temperament, springy action but hind action tending to wander sideways. Res. Best Dog.

Junior Bitch (2)

1. McDonnell’s Triquetra’s Holly Berry light tan refined & most attractive, lovely & full of herself; her head & expression quite appealing, super in profile slight stop with good proportions, ears erect, clean neck, shoulders sloping, forelegs straight, chest nearly to elbow & excellent underline, hindquarters moderate, springy mover with quite a personality. Best Bitch & BOB

2. Hillyer & McDonnell’s Triquetra’s Snow Angel at Mejhillyca dark tan with very nice shape to her & lovely clean lines, has slightly more stop to her head & didn’t use her ears as well but a close decision between these two as her construction, temperament, shape & style were well worthy. Res.Best Bitch

Post Graduate Bitch (1)

1. Bailey’s Quintina Del Gelso Bianca (imp Ita) dark tan, very refined & elegant, shoulder laid well from good length of neck, prefer more infill viewed from the front, appealing body shape with depth just above elbow, underline blending well, quarters moderately angled, unfortunately bite overlapping & consequently is weak in jaw. Her gait was controlled & even.
