Breed: Hamiltonstovare

Such a super breed that I always enjoy, thanks to all for coming today and thanks to my steward Ann who was so very helpful throughout the time we spent together.

Hamiltonstovare

Veteran Dog (1)

1. Briant & Ellwood’s Sufayre Larsson, have judged this one a few times before and feel he is still a quality male that can hold his own against the younger ones; tri-colour & incredibly handsome, has strength with good balanced length of head, moderately broad in skull, clean muzzle, powerful neck to clean shoulder, straight forelegs, good length of body, depth & ribbing, croup has slight incline, nicely angled hindquarters, compact feet, low tail, all of this collected well on the move with nice free striding action towards, away & in profile. Best Dog.

Post Graduate Dog (2) 1 abs

1. Morris’s Flixtonia Captain Sunshine, a younger dog, quite a striking colour with his tan/black markings but possibly enough white on him to be ideal; he was unsettled today, quite a strong looking male with an attractive balance to his head, good eye, most of his strength in the front assembly & through his lengthy body, strong loin has a good first thigh but is weaker in second thigh, consequently his hocks lacked the required strength to push off soundly although he does cover some ground, he is a work in progress.

Open Dog (3)

1. Graham’s Game Changer for Sufayre, super looking tri-colour & very right for balance and strength, masculine yet very attractive head, good skull to foreface of equal length, strong neck to clean shoulder, good front with nice width & fill-in, strong bone, good feet, depth of body, ribbing back nicely, strong loin, hindquarters with reasonable angulation, well-muscled, very pleasing to the eye on the stack, moved with good forehand reach, rear movement needs attention. Res. Best Dog.

2. Adey’s Abon Sfora Nordowskiej Knieji at Rubeusbay (Imp Pol) ShCEx another very nicely balanced tri-coloured male with attractive balance of markings, slightly shorter muzzle he was of slightly lighter frame to 1, he displayed a very nice outline from good overall construction which was impressive from the front & side profile, has a very nice free gait however today going away he was unsettled which was a shame as he is a nice dog.

3. Morris’s Flixtonia Captain Sunshine

Post Graduate Bitch (1)

1. Adey’s The Huntress from Sufayre very attractive in profile outline & of a lighter frame throughout, good eye & ear placement, nice calm expression, she had a good neck set onto well placed shoulders, straight front, filled in well with very good depth of brisket, strong loin, croup & tail set good, angled hindquarters, nice white tip to her tail, firm all through she carried herself very well around the ring with a nice easy gait, just lost a little concentration at times.

Open Bitch (2)

1. Briant’s Star Catcher from Sufayre classic breed typical tri-colour full of quality, gleaming with condition she is feminine with head of nice proportions, good dark eye, ear the right length, strong neck to nicely placed shoulder, very good strong front, pasterns & feet very good, excellent bone, good depth, ribs going back well, strong loin, angled hindquarters, strong hocks & tail, is quite striking to look at & she puts all of this together so well on the move with a long free striding & sound action, this is not an easy breed to show she was expertly handled to get the very best from her, Best Bitch & BOB. Was so pleased to see her short-listed in the lovely Hound Group, well done.

2. Reilly’s Wish Maker for Sufayre very similar in size & shape to 1 they looked good standing together, very good for head quality & overall construction, depth & good loin, very slight rise to underline as it should be, angled hindquarters, all is in place but doesn’t quite get it together on the move with a less positive action, just need to get that right to make a better challenge. Res. Best Bitch
