English Setters

Veteran D (1) 1st Salmons Tattersett Eminent, orange belton with a lovely head and dark eye. Straight front, well angulated both front and rear, good reach of neck, correct over the croup into tailset. Was sound on the move in this class but tended to pull away from handler, he went straighter when the lead was in her right hand. Was reluctant to move later in the challenge.

Minor Puppy no entries

Puppy D (1) 1st Adams Alolfrana Xclusive Party, striking orange belton with lovely well balanced head, dark expressive eyes. Excellent straight front, tight feet. Lovely reach of neck into well laid shoulders, level topline, just a touch long in loin at present, well turned stifles. Moved well with good tail carriage. Beautifully conditioned coat. With my close connection to his breeding in all honesty I would of preferred not to have judged him but in my opinion he was very worthy of Best Puppy.

Junior D (2,1abs) 1st Sayers Droveborough Blue Moon, really promising blue belton with gorgeous well balanced head, dark eyes under lovely brows. Straight in front well angulated fore and rear quarters, good reach of neck, deep in brisket, level topline, short rear pasterns. His handler was worried because he had been suffering with a dead tail but there was no sign of this and he moved soundly with good tail carriage.

Yearling D ( 3,1abs) 1st Thacker's Peritye Follow The Sun, orange belton built on clean lines. Another with a lovely head, good reach of neck flowed into well angulated shoulders, straight front, deep chest, level topline, good over croup into tailset, excellent bend of stifle. Well presented coat. Moved soundly if a little steadily. With his conformation I would of expected him to stride out more although the ring certainly wasn't the best. 2nd Kanietter Goldmandine of Tattay, blue belton, just a touch too strong in skull for me but good ear placement and dark kind eyes. Straight front, level topline, well developed rearquarters put to good use on the move giving him more animation than the winner. Some trimming of his chest feathering would present a more balanced outline.

Novice (1) 1st Adams A. Xclusive Party.

Post Grad (3,1abs) 1st Warrington's Culverwell Sundancer, orange belton, lovely refined head, dark eye giving excellent expression. Arched neck into well angulated front assembly, deep in brisket, level topline, well turned stifles. Moved with drive could just a be a touch tighter in front. Excellent coat and condition. 2nd Whittington's Culverwell Magic Touch, handsome head with dark eyes, well boned straight front, arched neck, well angulated forequarters with matching rear, level topline, lovely coat, moved soundly with good tail carriage but did not have such animation as his half brother. It was a close decision.

Limit D ( 3,1abs) Ciaputa's Ravensett Cote D'azur jw, another orange belton with a lovely head and dark eye. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders with good return of upperarm. Level topline, deep brisket, strong rearquarters and good tailset. Straight front standing but a little loose on the move. 2nd Whittington's Juldeane Line Of Duty, yet another orange belton with a handsome head. Good bone, neat feet, lovely reach of neck, well angulated forehand, deep chest, level topline, good bend of stifle, short rear pasterns. Also a bit loose in front movement.

Open D (4)1st Osman's Sh Ch Bournehouse Sirocco Over Marissolo jw shcex Osw, blue belton & tan that I have judged as a youngster, delighted he has fulfilled his early promise. Most gorgeous quality head with oval skull and dark eyes giving melting expression. Lovely reach of neck into excellent forequarters with correct return of upperarm. Level topline, deep through the body, excellent bone throughout. In fine coat, beautifully presented with plenty of feathering to complete the picture. Moved well with drive here and in the dog challenge but nearly threw it away for BOB when he became distracted, just getting his act together in the final runoff. Dog CC and BOB. 2nd Montell's Sh Ch Culverwell Super Scrumpy, a different style of dog but much to admire from his lovely head and expression to the tip of his tail. Straight front, well constructed fore and rear, level topline , well set tail, good coat. Loved his animation and sound movement. Res.CC. 3rd Seaman's Sh Ch Mariglen Just George.

Veteran B (2) 1st Beasley's Wansleydale Amaretto At Latjeata Vw, lovely elegant tri with a pretty feminine head. Excels in reach of neck, round bone, neat feet. Well constructed and angulated throughout, level topline, good tailset. In lovely coat and condition. Even at 9 years of age could still show the youngsters how to move, considered her for the Reserve CC. 2nd Brown's Merleycopse Cinder Ella To Baystrider, blue belton with dark eye, straight front, excellent shoulders and turn of stifle. Moved well with lovely tail action. On the small size but well balanced.

Minor Puppy B no entries

Puppy B (1) 1st Tucker's Walshaw Takes To The Stage, pretty elegant blue belton. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, deep brisket, level topline, good turn of stifle, short coupled. Moved well with good tail action, just a little loose in front at the moment.

Junior B ( 2) 1st Tucker's W. Takes To the Stage, 2nd Wynne-Evans' Droveborough One Love, dark tri, nice head, dark eye but not so pretty as winner. Straight front, good reach of neck, shapely hindquarters, level topline. Showed balance on the move with well carried tail.

Post Grad B (7, 1 w/d) firstly I would like to say I was sorry that the exhibit who went lame had to withdraw as she was in consideration for the class. 1st Sykes Sharnyx Springtime At Daraquist, gave this lovely orange belton best puppy on my last appointment, pleased to see she is developing on the right lines. Lovely balance to head with oval skull, dark eyes and soft expression. Straight front, neat feet, good reach of neck flows into well laid shoulders, deep in brisket, level topline, strong well developed hindquarters. Presented in lovely coat and condition. Moved soundly with good tail carriage. 2nd Bennet's Wansleydale Busy As a Bee At Caprow jw, dark tri, lovely head carriage, enough reach of neck, well constructed front assembly, deep in body, level topline, strong hindquarters, short rear pasterns. Very good mover with lovely tail action. 3rd Beasley's Latjeata Cup of Kindness jw

Limit B (6,2abs) 1st Wyatt-Hughes' Glenmaurangi Celeste, elegant orange belton with a striking outline. Lean pretty head, dark eyes and excellent expression. Straight front, good round bone, excels in reach of neck into well placed shoulders. Deep in chest, excellent well developed hindquarters, good over the croup to tailset. Moved very well, free and sound. Bitch CC. 2nd Danks/Littlechild's Ravensett Allegra With Alolfrana, blue belton with lovely head and soft expression, arched neck into well laid shoulders, good depth of brisket, well sprung ribs, can stand a bit rounded over the croup but holds a good topline on the move. Impressive active mover with lovely tail action. Excellent well conditioned coat. Annoyingly in the class each time I looked at her she was stood out at elbow. When she came back for the challenge with a change of handler she stood perfectly and I was pleased to award her the Res.CC 3rd Welburn's Oshowa Love To Dream jw

Open B (1) 1st Beasley's Sh Ch Wansleydale Mayflower At Latjeata, blue belton with pretty head. Straight front . Good reach of neck into correctly angulated forequarters, level topline, well bent stifles. Moves soundly but losing her overall shape a little.
