FRENCH BULLDOGS

Unfortunately the French Bulldogs had quite a wait to get into the ring so it was very warm by the time judging started. My thanks to my capable steward Jane for keeping the ring running smoothly. It was a pleasure to judge your dogs.

VD (1,0) 1st: BRYANT Ch Kingfriend Mr Godwin JW Quality 8yr old brindle male with square head. Balanced outline, cobby body. Masculine expression, broad muzzle, dark eyes. Gently wrinkled forehead, enough stop. Straight in front, arched neck, gentle roach. Well developed chest. Rear is well muscled. Moved out well. BV

MPD (2,0) 1st HICKIN & RANKIN Castlebirm Brummie Boy Square head with width of muzzle & upturn. Dark eyes & well set ears, masculine expression. Gentle wrinkling & defined stop. Chest developing well, straight front, slight rise over loin, small tail. Presented in lovely coat & condition. Moved well. BPD

2nd COLE Myntie Mojito 7m old brindle, not quite as compact nor balanced as 1st as shorter on leg at the moment. Square head with padded muzzle, well placed eyes & well used ears giving pleasing expression. Mature for his age. Evident tail. Moved soundly.

PD (1,0) 1st HANDLEY-SAWER Nortilly Stand To Attention Well presented brindle 11m old. Head is square with round eyes & bat ears well set & used. Broad muzzle with upturn. Outline could be more compact & topline better. Tail present. Sound on the move.

YD (1,0) 1st SUHAREVA & CRUTTENDEN Castrum Osinium No Limit For Avermayz (Imp HRV) Smaller type brindle with square head & appealing expression. Dark eyes & well used bat ears. Wide muzzle with upswept jaw, dentition could be better. Straight front to neat feet. Topline is flatter than ideal & tail higher set than desired. Sound mover.

ND (2,1) 1st HANDLEY-SAWER Nortilly Stand To Attention repeat

GD (1,0) 1st CUTTER & FORSYTH Chelmbull Spitfire With Dapledan Well grown 8m old brindle. Head is square with dark eyes & correctly placed & used bat ears. Arch to neck, correct front & shoulder assembly, chest still developing, neat feet. Topline has gentle roach to enough tail. Could be shorter in loin. Moved soundly.

LD (6,0) 1st WATKINS-MCGOWAN Mactawbay Infinite Edition Brindle of smaller type, balanced all through. Pleasing expression, dark eyes, bat ears well set & used. Muzzle padded & broad. Cobby body has depth of chest & enough width, plenty of rib. Straight in front, moderate neck, gentle rise in topline, obvious tail. Steady mover once settled. 

2nd BONSALL Bestfrenchie Pirat At Muggshotts JW Very attractive double hooded pied with clear white coat that is well marked. Shapely outline, cobby body with plenty of bone & substance. Strong & masculine square head, finely wrinkled forehead, enough stop, broad muzzle that is deep & has upsweep. Expression would be more appealing with less nose roll. Chest is wide & deep with sprung ribs, gentle roach. Pleasing on the move 

3rd VEARNCOMBE & HALE Ruption Knightcott Back To Black

OD (6,1) 1st TIMMS Ch Olijah Going In Deep JW CC Almost 2yr old eye catching brindle with compact outline & balanced all through. He has a masculine square head with dark eyes, ears correctly set & used to advantage, cheeks developed, deep stop, slight wrinkling to forehead. Muzzle is broad, deep & well padded with upsweep. Arched neck, deep chest with plenty of width, straight front to neat feet, evident forechest, well muscled rear, enough cut up. Gentle roach to rounded rump & low set small tail. Presented in gleaming coat. Ultra sound on the move, at one with his handler. I was pleased to award him CC & BOB

 2nd BRYANT Ch Archness The Audacity JW Mature brindle who appeals for his compact outline. Head is masculine & square with well developed cheeks, round eyes & well used bat ears, he has a pleasing expression. Moderately angulated front & rear, straight front, deep chest. Ribs are well sprung. Arched neck. Gentle roach & definite cut up. Small tail. Moves soundly RCC

3rd FRENCH Bincombefarm Morsmordre JW

VB (2,0) 1st SWATERIDGE Ch Xentique B'witched For Taffique JW Small & compact 9yr in wonderful condition. Square feminine head with correctly placed round eyes & bat ears, deep wide muzzle. Gentle wrinkling. Strong pasterns, neat feet. Arched neck to strong topline with slight roach, depth & width to chest. Enough cut up, rear is well muscled. Super showgirl & sound on the move.

2nd VEARNCOMBE & HALE Tytorro Paint It Black With Ruption Knightcott JW 8yr old brindle with an appealing expression. Dark eyes, bat ears well set & used, Depth & width to muzzle, enough stop. Straight front, feet could be tighter, deep, wide chest. Moved well. I preferred topline of 1st

MPB (4,0) 1st PEARCE Myntie Shirazz Bullhawk Quite mature for 7m, balanced in outline. Feminine head developing well, square with deep wide muzzle, upsweep of jaw. Ears correctly placed & used, round eyes, Feet could improve. Chest still developing, it has width & depth. Cobby body, slight rise to topline, I would prefer more tail. Sound mover.

2nd COLE Myntie Fascination Litter sister to 1st & of same lovely type. Pretty head & expression, ears correctly set & used. Straight front, better feet than 1st, chest developing. Moved well for such a baby. I preferred topline of 1st

3rd CAIRNS & BROOKS Gailbulls Ody's Girl With Corursus 

PB (4,1) 1st TIMMS Olijah Striptease Beautiful & impressive brindle almost 9m old. She looks lovely stacked with compact & sturdy outline. Correct head with feminine expression, eyes well placed & dark. Width to muzzle with turnup. Neck is strong & arched, straight in front to tight feet. Moderately angulated front & rear, gentle roach to rounded croup. I would prefer more tail. Expertly handled to get the most from her, she is sound when moving. She wasn’t as on her toes in the challenge & dropped her ears slightly. BP & I was delighted to see her awarded PG2

2nd HUCKER Muggshotts Billet Doux Almost 12m old pied & more mature than 1st Appealing profile. Double hood, clear white coat presented in gleaming condition. Square head, pigment dark, round eyes, ears could be better used. Wide chest, straight front, pasterns to strengthen. Enough angulation in front, slightly straight in rear. Pleasing on the move.

3rd BONSALL Muggshotts Lovebug

YB (2,1) 1st HUCKER Oschalben Olissa At Bevanray JW Small compact brindle with a pleasing head. Bat ears well placed & used, round dark eyes, gentle wrinkling to forehead, enough stop, all giving feminine expression. Strong neck, front is straight, pasterns could strengthen, enough chest. Correct topline with gentle rise, small tail present. Muscled rear. She moved well.  

NB (1 Entries) 1st CAIRNS & BROOKS Gailbulls Ody's Girl With Corursus Small compact brindle just 6m old with a lot of growing & maturing still to come. Pleasing expression from round eyes & bat ears, muzzle has depth & width. Straight in front, pasterns need to strengthen, tight feet. Slight roach to topline, short tail is low set. Erratic on the move, handler could help her more

GB (3,0) 1st WATKINS-MCGOWAN Mactawbay Xclusive Edition 2yr old with a pleasing feminine expression. Appealing cobby outline when stacked. Dark round eyes & well placed bat ears, feminine expression. Muzzle has width with upsweep of jaw. Arched neck, enough width & depth to chest, ribs well sprung. Rise to topline, small tail is low set. Moderate angulation both ends & a sound mover.

2nd VEARNCOMBE & HALE Ruption Knightcott Hells Bells JW Another pleasing brindle not as compact in outline as 1st. Feminine square head with dark eyes, broad deep muzzle & upsweep. Not always using her ears today. Strong neck, gentle rise to topline, low set tail. Sound mover out & back.

3rd CHALLINGER Jiankang Calista

PGB (4,1) 1st COLE Membully Bedazzled With Myntie JW Typy b/m fawn with pleasing expression. Square head, dark round eyes, bat ears well used. Wide deep padded muzzle with upturn, gentle wrinkle & definite stop. Body could be a little more compact, decent topline, good length of tail. Sound mover, front could tighten.

2nd STIDWELL Beaufrogz Thats My Girl 2yr Brindle with feminine expression. Head of pleasing shape with dark eyes & padded muzzle, ears well set & used. Deep chest, well sprung ribs, straight front, enough tuck up. Slight rise over loin, very short low set tail. Movement sound.

3rd EDWARDS Bevanray Burmese

LB (5,0) 1st MORISON Xandene Caramel Fudge JW B/m fawn 2yr old. Pleases for type & her short, cobby shape. Lovely expression from her dark round eyes & well used bat ears, width & depth to muzzle & upturn to jaw. Arched neck to well laid shoulders, wide, deep chest & topline has gentle roach. Small tail. Neat feet. Enough rear angulation. Moved out soundly.

2nd ROACH Roalice Mega Mouse JW Smaller type brindle with lots to like. Square feminine head with broad padded muzzle & upsweep, correctly placed dark eyes & bat ears which she is sometimes lazy with. Neck is arched, shoulders well laid, straight front to tight feet. Topline has slight rise over loin, small low set tail. Moderately angled rearquarters. Not moving out as well as she should today.

3rd RANKIN Wildax Pocket Rocket

OB (3,0)1st TIMMS Ch Olijah Coming For You JW CC This brindle is litter sister to my BOB, they are alike in many ways. Head is square, feminine, cheeks developed, round eyes & well used ears that are correctly placed. Muzzle is padded & has depth & width with good upturn.. Arched neck, deep chest, sprung ribs.. Topline has a slight rise & tail is low set. Muscled rearquarters She looked a picture stacked & moved out soundly. Beautifully presented in gleaming coat & handled to show her virtues, I was pleased to award her CC     

2nd KRALL Khanin Shine On Jafrak RCC Another lovely brindle full of quality. Expression is feminine, round eyes & well used bat ears. Head is square with developed cheeks, wide deep muzzle. Enough stop. Arched neck to straight front & tight feet, moderately angulated front & rear, enough neck & correct topline. Moved soundly & presented in lovely condition. RCC
