Darlington Dog Show Society Ltd

I Would like to thank the committee for the opportunity given to Judge pointers the breed closest to my heart having owned for over45 years.I would also like to thank my steward for the day who was helpful and efficient at keeping the ring flowing smoothly and last but not least the exhibitors for entering their dogs under me i had some wonderful examples of the breed and some tough decisions in some of the classes particularly p g and limit bitch classes. The breed has changed quite significantly since I first started out some for the better and some not so, My top honours went to dogs I felt were fine examples of the breed standard and although were not all looking the same type were of a good breed standard. I found no bad mouths but unfortunatly there was a lot of tails carried high and the breed calls for the tail carried level with the back not like an aerial in minor placings i had to accept this fault, having never owned a dog with a high tail it was my main bug bare .
