1st Place 1211 - Ch/Ir Ch Geilsaven Singin 'n' Dancin Jch (Mrs E O'neill)

Impressive almost 2-year-old male Akita presenting a strong and masculine outline. Powerful head with dark eyes creating a keen expression and correct bite. Strongly constructed through the neck and shoulders, flowing into a level topline which remained steady both standing and moving. Good fore chest and substance, with well-balanced proportions. Correct tail set carried well and completing the profile with nice tight feet. Covered the ground well when moving and shown in excellent condition. Handled to advantage and displayed great ring presence throughout. A quality male and a worthy winner of Best Dog and Best of Breed.

2nd Place 11213 - Rominjay King of My Heart (C Simpson)

Another quality 2-year-old male Akita with much to like. Broad head with good width throughout, dark eyes giving a keen expression, and correct bite. Strong through the neck and shoulders with a firm topline, which he maintained well at all times. Good fore chest and substance, with a correct tail set carried well over the back and nice tight feet. Moved well. Presented in excellent condition. A worthy contender for top honours, but I slightly preferred the overall finish and presentation of the winner today. Pleased to award him Reserve Best Dog.

3rd Place 11209 - Whitewreath Cashmere Casakura (Miss C, Mrs C & Miss C Hunter, Hunter & Allen)

Class 625. Post Graduate Bitch 1 entry

1st Place 11214 - Rominjay You Belong with Me (C Simpson)

Feminine 2-year-old female Akita who stood alone in the class. Unfortunately, out of coat on the day, but she still presented a pleasing outline and made a nice shape overall. Feminine head, correct bite, good neck and shoulders, and a firm topline. Would have preferred a little more body and substance to complete the overall picture on the day.

Class 626. Open Bitch 3 entries 1 absent

1st Place 11208 - Shanaburn About Damn Time at Casakura (Miss C, Mrs C & Miss C Hunter, Hunter & Allen)

A feminine bitch, just coming up to 3-year-old with excellent breed type. Well put together and presented in lovely condition. Feminine head of correct proportions with small, dark, expressive eyes giving a pleasing expression with correct bite. Strong neck flowing into a well-developed fore chest and straight front, level topline and nice tight feet. Correct tail set carried well. She moved soundly and was well handled. Pleased to award her Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex.

2nd Place 11210 - Geilsaven Chantilly Lace (Mr J & Mrs H Mclaren)

A very well-balanced almost 2 year old female of excellent breed type. She was well handled and presented herself neatly throughout the class. Good body and strong overall construction. Nice head, well set ears, correct bite and a strong neck flowing into a firm, level topline. She covered the ground steadily and correctly. Pleased to award her Reserve Best Bitch
