Boston & District Canine Society

Breed: Beagle

Many thanks to Boston & District Canine Society for inviting me to award my first set of Challenge Certificates in Beagles and to the exhibitors for giving such a wonderful entry. I thoroughly enjoyed my day having some exceptional dogs to judge and super sportsmanship throughout. I thought my open classes especially were really full of quality and as a non-breed specialist it really was a privilege to get my hands on so many super dogs.

A couple of dogs were moved a little too fast which was not to their benefit and I was a little disappointed to have to wipe my hands a couple of times when a small number of dogs coats were so full of chalk, I understand maybe needing a little on feet or lower legs but when the whole coat is full of it, it really does spoil the texture and I had to question what was trying to be hidden.
