I was honoured to receive the invitation to judge this breed with CCs in UK for the first time,  as I have had quite a long association with the breed over the past years whilst in South Africa and subsequent home involvement in UK. Delighted to receive the highest Entry in the Group and thank the Exhibitors for entering, I found the entry to be of very high standard with depth of quality in most of the classes, a variety of head types was observed, however they do not move on their heads, so was looking for dogs with correct angles front and rear with harmonious powerful movement bearing in mind the role they originally played as a Carriage dog. Myself as a long term breeder of over 50 years of a head breed, i know how easy it is to change a head style in one breeding, however good structure and movement is hard to rectify, so for me structure and movement is of top priority in my final assessment, together with rewarding dogs I personally feel should be used as breeding stock in order to move the breed forward in the future.
