1st Place    136 - Teckeltown Formula One (Miss D Mason) a 7-month-old black-and-tan with an excellent side profile, balanced in angulation and length to height. Good bone and developing construction, with pleasing fore-chest. Attractive, typical head and expression, set on a neck of good length, flowing into a firm body and topline. Best mover in the class. Best Puppy in Breed and later Hound Puppy Group 4.

2nd Place    145 - Bronia Rainier of Wakywilks (Miss C & Mr A Wilkinson & Wakeham)

a 9-month-old dark-shaded red, another promising youngster of similar make and shape to first. Good enough fore-chest and body width, with a pleasing head and expression. Neck of sufficient length and in proportion to his body. Moved well in front, with good extension, though I would prefer more stable, parallel width behind.

1st Place    126 - Bronia Despacito (Mrs F Hanney-Mitchell) an impressive 13-month-old deep red male with attractive, clean lines and all the essentials of breed type and sound construction. His attractive head is carried proudly and nobly. Excellent balance and proportions make him a real eye-catcher. Sound in front, with a firm, well-made body and strong, well-angulated hindquarters. Moved with purpose and confidence, showing true extension in front and good width and drive behind. My Dog CC winner.

2nd Place    141 - Shantallah Bailey (Miss E Stuart) a 13-month-old red male, nicely developed and well made, possessing many of the qualities of first, though slightly longer on the leg. His balanced side profile and overall length caught my eye. Attractive head shape and expression. Well-made front and forequarters, with good width throughout, and a firm body of pleasing length. Tended to lose his topline and was unsettled on the move, with good front action but a closer rear action than I prefer.

Class 158. Graduate Dog

1st Place    151 - Kenleap Moon Hero (Mrs N & Mr J Woodhouse) a 2-year-old chocolate male, pleasing in overall shape. I liked his head shape, though he tended to look reticent in expression and fly his ears which detracted from his expression. Good width throughout. Well-made body with firm cover, good spring and especially depth, and a pleasing topline. Moved freely, though I would prefer a more controlled action.

Class 159. Post Graduate Dog

Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

1st Place    129 - Marvale Royal Salute at Helydon (Misses A & A Kirkwood-Emery) a smart 17-month-old black-and-tan male with quality conformation and an attractive overall appearance. Well-constructed throughout, with a long, low outline and good leg length. His head and expression were pleasing to my eye. A pleasure to examine, with much to admire in his conformation and breed qualities. Complemented his construction with confident, free movement.

1st Place    132 - Ch Riowood Black Jack (Miss A Mason) an attractive, mature-looking 6½-year-old black-and-tan male of the type, make and shape that caught my eye. Lovely expression, with a typical head set on a good-length neck flowing into a well-made body and topline. Pleasing profile, good fore-chest and balanced front and rear angulation, with leg length well suited to him. A quality dog with much to admire. Moved well, particularly in front, with true, parallel action, though I preferred the rear movement of the Dog CC winner. My Dog Reserve CC winner.

Class 164. Puppy Bitch

Entries: 2 Absentees: 0

1st Place    133 - Teckeltown Crazy in Love (Miss A Mason) a quality 7-month-old black and tan bitch of well defined make and substance. Pleasing in profile both standing and on the move. She has clean lines and is smart and soundly constructed having a quality breed typical appearance. Attractive head which I preferred to 2nd, Firm in body with balanced well angulated front and rear both of which was at this age, better than 2nd. She has a true front which is of ideal width and full nicely let down hindquarters which are broad enough with legs set parallel. Moved really well, true, freely and better of class.

2nd Place    150 - Jenivons Get Them Talking for Edenwhip NAF (Mr J & Ms R Winkley-Balmer & Winkley) a 10-month-old black-and-tan bitch, another very promising, quality youngster. Similar in construction and style to first, sharing many of her qualities. Today, I preferred first’s head profile and front and rear construction at this stage of development. Moved freely and positively, though not as precisely as first.

Class 165. Junior Bitch

1st Place    127 - Bronia Lady Gaga (Mrs F Hanney-Mitchell) a very nice-quality 12-month-old red bitch, attractive in side profile with good leg length. Pleasing in appearance, with the feminine qualities I look for in the breed, and still showing promise to develop, mature and improve. Pleasing overall make, shape and profile, viewed from the front, rear and side. Moved well, especially going away, though she needs to settle in front on the return.

Soundly made in front and forequarters, with a prominent breastbone and good depth, which I preferred to 2nd. Pleasing body, with adequate spring and ribs carried well back. Firm topline, with broad, strong, well-angulated hindquarters, desirable width and parallel hocks. Moved freely and soundly, front and rear, with pleasing extension in profile. My Reserve Bitch CC winner.

True front, good fore-chest and tight elbows. Well-made, with good body length, broad hindquarters, though she tended to lose her top-line on occasions.
