IRISH WOLFHOUND

SBD 1(0)

1. Connor’s Hydebeck Eternal Love. Masculine headed dog, good length of skull, eyes a little prominent and round, level head planes, ears could be smaller, good bone on him, moderate length of neck, he has some depth to his chest, ribs extend well back, correct amount of bone, a little flat in top-line, good croup and tail, moderate rear angulation, on the move uses his front but could have a bit more strength in his rear, good coat, nice size.

PD 1(0)

1. Forret’s Culvercroft Ivanhoe. Nicely proportioned youngster, I liked his head, still to develop obviously but of good balance, moderate stop to him and neat ears and has good strength of foreface, straight forelegs with adequate bone for his frame, lovely reach of neck, round feet, for his age has good depth to his chest, still to develop in rib but he is a nice shape, moderate croup, needs to strengthen in his hocks on the move but in profile holds his shape and has good front extension on him, needs time but has type.

PGD 4(0)

1. Tingle’s Fosco Della Bassa Pavese (imp IT). Good for size, moderate bone for his frame, a little bit fine in muzzle for ideal and prefer neater ears, straight forelegs, moderate front assembly, has some fill in front, good feet, ribs of good length, moderate rear angulation, excellent coat texture, he is shapely on the move, steady profile but ideally like better angles front and back but he is balanced, won the class holding his shape on the move.

2. Dawson’s Hydebeck Tyme To Love at Graefyn JW. More masculine dog than 1, strong bone, preferred the head on this male good length of muzzle, again could have smaller ears, flat skull, dark oval eyes, strong neck, little soft in top-line, ok depth of chest, again has width in 2nd thigh and moderate rear angulation, correct textured coat, on the move levels out in top-line, preferred the shape of 1 on the move.

3. Dunwell’s Glengail Ccillian.

LD 3(1)

Only 2, quite different in type.

1. Moorhouse’s Cactus Jack Jatver of Austonley (imp SVK). Shapely dog, for me he is a little bit narrow in skull and muzzle, equal head proportions but I would like more strength to it, ears are well set and of moderate size, good bone, straight forelegs, has some reach of neck, prefer more width of chest, more width all through, has depth of chest but needs more width in chest bigger ribcage, well angled rear with low set hocks, good croup and tail, was a positive mover and he holds his shape, coat could be a little bit harsher but good mover in profile and covers the ground.

2. Kelly’s Bonaforte’s Zippity Do. Masculine headed dog, eyes a little bit light for ideal, has strength of foreface, strong neck, little straight in angles front and back but is balanced, has nice width of chest, good ribs, carrying a little too much body weight, prefer more definition of hock joint, on the move not as fluid as 1 and a little flat in top-line.

OD 4(0)

Three nice dogs, all different in type but nice quality dogs.

1. Tebbutt’s Ch. Caredig Mafioso. Super shape, masculine, very balanced headpiece to him, lovely balance to him, clean curvy outline, straight forelegs with well padded feet, excellent depth and width of chest, ribs extend well back, well angled rear, very sound, in top top condition, full of breed type, lovely quality example, low set hocks, top quality dog, he places his feet well, in the challenge he just laboured on the move so had to give way to a quality bitch for BOB.won the DCC with room to spare, for sure he is a very good example of the breed.

2. Spry’s Killoughery Touchstone. Ideally would like a little more width of foreface on him but has good length of skull, level head planes, lovely straight forelegs with good round strong feet, nice depth to his chest with good tuck up, dense harsh coat, what I liked about him he is a good mover, uses his rear well in profile, covers the ground, has width in thigh, not quite as neat in rear on the move as 1 but lots to like, RDCC.

3. Parton’s Killoughery Rockafella of Outsight. Smaller framed dog, lovely ribs on him, prefer better head planes but good chest on him, again straight forelegs, moderate rear with some width to his hips, he has an active stride to him.

SBB 2(0)

1. Crosse’s Cairnstorm Lullaby. 18 month old bitch, feminine outline to her, she has neat ears, good length of foreface, eye could be a little bit darker, straight forelegs, ideally like more forechest on her but she has a strong neck, correct bone for frame, neat elbows, well developed ribs, muscled loin, moderate rear angulation on her, levels off a little in top-line, good coat texture, nice condition and she is a steady mover, BSpB.

2. Taylor’s Aquila De La Constellation D’irka avec Critaylor. Just a puppy at 8 month old, very leggy youngster, just needs to develop and fill out all through, drop in chest etc but has a shape to her, prefer smaller ears, flat skull, shapely body, has good parts but is just very immature, needs time to settle on the move.

MPB 4(2)

1. Spry’s Killoughery Eclipse. Very well proportioned and balanced, she is not the biggest bitch but she has good proportions on her, feminine head, obviously this breed does need to develop and strengthen throughout, nicely made front, good forelegs on her, has moderate chest but she has a clean curvy outline, good length of rib, I liked the rear quarters on her, on the move she has a good stride on her, purposeful, sound and lots to like, just very raw and needs time.

2. Taylor’s Aquila De La Constellation D’irka avec Critaylor.

PB 4(1)

Three nice bitches.

1. Severn-Kumar’s Ersebrayer Orkney Gaelmarque. Lovely shapely bitch, good legs on her, has some strength and substance already, nicely made front, good width for her age, obviously will develop more with time, good length of foreface, eye could be a fraction darker, small ears, well set, lovely neck and her front nicely under her body, good depth of chest already and ribs extend well back, drawn up belly, shapely outline, positive mover with an easy stride, uses her rear well, lovely breed type, BP.

2. Stirling’s Eresebrayer Moonshine for Clanlily. Also good proportions on her, nice length of leg, a little bit narrow in foreface and still needs to develop all through, 1 is a bit more mature in body but I liked this bitch’s forelegs, lovely feet, excellent harsh coat, ears are well set, again like 1 has a clean neck and curvy outline to her, ribs extend well back, moderate rear, has lots to like about her, just immature and compared to 1 but nice type.

3. Forret’s Culvercroft Isolda.

OB 5(2)

Best class of the day to judge by a long way, 3 lovely bitches.

1. Salamon’s Fritza Della Bassa Pavese. So shapely, lovely balanced proportions, curvy outline on her, lots to admire, best front of the day, long strong arched neck, has width in chest, straight forelegs and right amount of bone, neat elbows, lovely tuck up, good length of rib, her footfall is so precise on the go round, dark oval eyes, feminine balanced head, could have a little more strength in muzzle for ideal and ears could be a little bit smaller, excellent feet, well padded, tail of good length she is so typy, shapely and her movement is easy and precise, tight harsh coat, firm muscular condition a top quality bitch and a pleasure to judge her., BCC & BOB. Nice to hear she won the group later in the day.

Also like 1, beautiful bitch, lots to like about her, slightly thicker set in body but still I liked her proportions, a lovely feminine head with good strength of foreface, raised brows, like 1 has a clean neck on her, holds her shape on the move, has width in her thighs and good to see strength in 2nd thigh, low set hocks, not quite got the fill in chest as 1 but like 1 moves very well in profile, lovely condition, excellent harsh coat, 2 quality bitches, RBCC.

3. Bradley’s Ch. Glengail Aarcus.
