A breed that has been a favourite of mine for a long time. I found the exhibitors to be sporting. Exhibits were well presented in good textured and coloured coats and the majority of exhibits of good temper, one or two a touch ‘Windy’ and not as outgoing as would show off their virtues more. Bone and condition were not a major concern over all, though some touching on being overdone. I did find some variance in type and balance, short on leg to body length, some skulls too wide and heavy to be in proportion to foreface, one or two light eyes which spoils expressions and several very short necks. Movement was varied; busy short front reach was fairly noticeable. A big thank you to all exhibitors for the opportunity to go over and assess their precious dogs. It was a great pleasure.
