What a pleasure it was to undertake my first senior appointment for a breed I have been connected to for more than 30yrs. My thanks to every exhibitor who took the time and trouble of allowing me to judge their dog. I’d also like to thank the Stanley’s – my ring stewards – who helped create a special occaision for me with their professionalism, which I shall always remember. I was pleased to report no health concerns in my feedback and found every exhibit to be of an excellent disposition and displaying typical determined excitement the way only Bull Terriers can!

1st 993 - Karmara’s Super Duper (Mrs R & Mr T Karta-Williams & Williams) Large substantial white with tremendous bone. Strong deep head and underjaw. Dark well-placed and shaped eye. Correct canine but undershot bite. Good size and placement of ears but not held erect on the move which spoilt his outline. Clean neck, lovely broad forechest, deep rib, well-laid shoulders which produced a strong straight front movement and a jaunty albeit close rear movment.

1st 986 - Koellen Boomerang Bertie (Mr C Beach) smart, unexaggerated medium black brindle with a lovely balance from top to toe. Good unbroken arch to head profile, dark pigmentation to rims, lips and nose, correct mouth, well-placed ears, clean neckline leading seamlessly into well laid shoulders, strong forechest, straight front, tidy feet, hocks strong and well let-down. Level topline with correct tailset and carriage. Well-knit and moved well both ways. RDCC

1st 997 - Razorsedge Berry Lane at Tegenbull (Mrs J Pope) medium, white with brindle eye patch and ears with an elegant upstanding frame, slightly longer cast, good length of head but would have preferred a stronger lower muzzle, correct mouth, dark well shaped and positioned eye, good size and placement of ears, strong straight front, broad chest, level topline and correct tailset. Moved straight in front but would have liked to see more drive in the rear.

1ST 990 - Ch Buster Hill Bilboen (Miss S Foster) white with brindle ear patch. Immediate impact of a strongly built square dog that filled his frame and stood square on ample round bone. Tremendously filled head and the keenest of expression from an excellent dark eye with super shape and position and strength throughout his length of muzzle. Strong under jaw, correct mouth, small ears held on top when at attention which helped create a winning appearance. Lovely broad and deep chest with well-sprung ribs, level topline, well laid shoulders and good rear angulation which produced strong drive in his movement. DCC

1st 995 - Louka Masked Maiden (Miss K Malden) a feminine 9yr old shown in great condition and retaining the right qualities. Lovely outline with strong profile to head, elegant neck, good forechest, correct shoulder angulation, super straight front, has maintained a strong topline, correct tailset and carriage. Good rear angulation and hocks that were strong and well let down. Moved strongly both ways and never stopped showing her socks-off, a real credit to her owner/handler.

1st 992 - Karmara’s Little Witch (Mrs R & Mr T Karta-Williams & Williams) a large white with heavy bone and substance. Lovely head profile, good length, depth and fill with nice dark pigments which helped exentuate a super dark eye and shape with well-positioned erect ears, strong underjaw, elegant neck into level topline, tail set and carried a little high. Strong forechest and shoulder, deep well-sprung chest. Moved straight in front but rolled a little from behind. BP

1st 989 - Bullwizz Star Attraction Tawnbarr (Mr F & Mrs J Dyson) medium white with brindle ear and head patch. Head long and filled but would have preferred more strength and fill to lower muzzle to complete the picture. Correct mouth, nice dark well-positioned eye, Lovely round bone on straight front with a strong chest and level topline. Correct tailset which she carried well. Moved straight with good drive.

1st 991 - Blazinbullys Golden Girl at Loidisrose (Mr M D Hird) an unexaggerated, well balanced dark brindle, looking a picture in profile. Gorgeous head in fill and profile, correct mouth, strong underjaw, lovely ear shape, size and placement, clean neck line giving her a first-class outline into well-laid shoulders and forechest, level topline with tail set on and carried correctly. Strong straight front and well-angulated rear giving her great movement both ways with plenty of drive. RBCC 2nd 988 - Bilboen Tinsel Town at Dougherty (Mrs S & Mr N Bunce & Holkham) a strongly built white with brindle ear marks. Strong filled head with the keenest of expressions and superb eye shape, level bite. Reluctant to use her ears today. Strong in body with ample rib, nice forechest, straight front, level topine, difficult to assess her movement today but had plenty of drive. 3rd 998 - Kescostaff Fire Starter (Mrs R & Mr G Shippam)

1st 996 - Bilboen Wanderlust Opal (Mr A Mountain) medium white bitch with dark ear patches, lovely well-balanced outline with a lovely filled head and gentle sweeping profile and great ear size and set held bang on top, excellent eye and super-keen expression, correct mouth, strong elegant neckline into clean, muscled, well-angled shoulders, tight elbows held against well-sprung ribs, straight front and tight feet. Strong topline and correct tailset and horizontal carriage giving her a superb moving profile. Moved correctly both ways with smooth rhythmic purposeful gait. Well-handled and presented. Delighted to award her BCC and BoB 2nd 1002 - Teirwgwyn Miss Hazel of Waybully JW (Mr K & Mrs V Waycott) Another quality brindle with a strong profile to her head, great ear set, sweeping neck, good forechest, strong level topline, nice tail, straight front, good rib and well angled rear. Moved straight in front and a little close behind and a smidgeon longer cast than my winner. 3rd 1000 - Sif The Goddess at Furrybeans (Ms R Urry)

1st 1003 - Bilboen Whisper in The Dark (Mr J & Mrs A Young) Smartly-marked medium black brindle with a long, strong filled head with an unbroken profile. Lovely dark eye. When she chose to use them, her ears were well-positioned and elevated her statue and expression, straight front, good forechest and strong well-laid shoulders, good spring of rib. When settled she moved strongly both ways. 2nd 987 - Karmara's Kiss and Tell at Winuwuk (Miss J & Mr T Brown & Hutchings)an upstanding white bitch with a strong filled head with a great profile, small tidy ears, elegant neck and strong shoulders, straight front, level topline and correct tailset set and carriage. Moved straight in front. Would have preferred more rear drive. 3rd 1001 - Archetype Tosheroon for Waybully JW (Mr K & Mrs V Waycott)
