Burns Puppy Stakes (Hound/Toy) - Puppy Dog

Entries: 35 Absentees: 20

1ST 108 - Soletrader Puppet Master (Mrs S, Mr O & Miss E Robertson)

Headed the best class of puppies all weekend, lovely PBGV; excellent head and eye, ears treach nose, good lengthy neck, well laid shoulder & elbows close to body, well ribbed back & enough length to his body, doesn’t need to grow on as he is already the finished article in that department, so sound and free on the move, very accurate both ways & carries his stern well. Sound and free on the move, excellent driving action & looked lovely in profile. Really promising, and like the two behind him, a sure-fire Ch.

2ND 302 - Bronia Luciano (Mrs F Hanney-Mitchell)

Close up to the winner, glorious red SL Dachs, nothing to want to change at this age & he is so promising. Beautiful front and quarters; the finished article size-wise, well ribbed back, firm topline, excellent tailset and carriage, sound and free, in gleaming condition & close up to the winner. More to come from this one too.

3RD 629 - Sobers Kendrick at Incitatus (Mrs E A & Mr G A Bogart)

Burns Puppy Stakes (Hound/Toy) - Puppy Bitch

1ST 1286 - Helydon Zkitto Zkatto (Mr G Kirkwood)

Simply stunning Crested, nothing to want to change at this age; loved her & she moved like a seasoned showgirl. Excellent ears and facial features, super skin, lovely tail which she used beautifully on the move. A most exciting prospect & delighted to get to judge her.

2ND 830 - Collooney Anytime Anyplace at Finix (Mr T & Miss N Forrester & Macfarlane)

Lovely young Whippet, good head and eye, well pigmented and houndy in expression, lovely forehand and chest, correct topline and good quarters. Used herself well on the move & she is in great condition, but she had a hard time to match the “star quality” of the winner. Most promising prospect.

3RD 738 - Oostblik Rivier Annan (Mrs C R Kapma-Saunders)

Sybil Churchill Open Stakes (Hound/Toy) - Open Dog

1ST 1699 - Ch Sueacres Catch A Dream JW (Ms S Smith)

First three all lovely to judge, ultimately the winner was this precioious young Pomeranian, everything to like about him, beautiful head and eye, super outline & balanced body; goes with a remarkable, accurate action away and back, and carries himself very well in profile. In optimum coat and condition, smashing youngster with the best yet to come.

2ND 246 - Farlap Kaleb (Mrs S & Mr S Westron)

A smart young Bloodhound to whom I have given an Open Show Group, I liked him then and I still like him now. Moderate and functional and he is both sound, and free on the move. In fit muscular condition and carries himself well. Lovely chap, another Ch I am sure.

3RD 1779 - Ch Nicobri's Lord of The Rings JW ShCEx OSW (N Turnbull)

1ST 922 - Ardencote Justa Dream (Mrs J P Wood)

Lovely Whippet, graceful and elegant in built but yet functional and not “weedy”, liked her head and eye, good pigmentation; lovely neck and shoulder, firm topline and neat underline, very accurate on the move with excellent footfall and lovely in profile. In great muscle tone.

2ND 1031 - Petit Ami's Countin' On A Miracle Bowiechons (Imp Nor) (Mrs D Carr)

Very smart Bicon, super pigment throughout; lovely head & expression, great neck and shoulders, correct topline and tail and goes with a very sound, free and easy stride. Lots to like and presented in perfect order.
