Veteran Dog (2)

1ST Mysulan Going Solo JW VW (Mrs S J Baxter)

Almost eleven years old blue and tan, remarkably fit for his age. Excellent size. Very pleasing proportions. Typical head with correct width of muzzle. Expressive eyes. Good rise of neck. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Spannable in his chest, but I would not want any narrower than this. Excellent topline. Pleasing topline and tailset. Excellent coat quality, harsh and dense. Thick skin. Moved light on his feet. Best Veteran

2ND Cedarhill Front of House Rl1 VW (Mr F & Mrs H Freeman)

Eye-catching grizzle and tan dog in excellent condition for his eight years old. He is a larger and stronger dog with too much width of body for my preference. Firm topline with a strong loin. Good tailset. Excellent coat quality. A sound and well balanced mover.

Minor Puppy Dog (1)

1ST Ardenholm Prince of Thieves (Miss S Rose)

Well grown masculine blue and tan puppy. Expressive head, correct length of muzzle. His ears are rather large. Strong neck, well set into shoulder. I would prefer a shorter loin. Moderate angulation behind. Very pleasing coat quality. He moved very well from the side and from behind, not fully mature and still needs to stabilize in front movement.

Puppy Dog (4)

1ST Chainsmoker Fiery Lucifer at Modrelabky (Imp Cze) (Miss L Cecho)

At a young age this blue and tan dog is a well balanced, masculine dog without lumber. Typical head and keen expression. Quite pleasing ears. Strong neck of moderate length. Medium angulation in front. Strong topline. Spannable. Pleasing tailset. Excellent harsh and dense coat. He is a very good mover from the side and from behind, OK in front. Best male puppy.

2ND Digmoor Solar Man at Ragatam (Miss T J Peacock)

Instantly attractive grizzle dog, even if he at this time appears a little leggy. Classical, beautiful head and ears. Well set neck into shoulder. Firm topline. Spannable. Pleasing coat quality. Another sound and positive mover.

3RD Ardenholm Prince of Thieves (Miss S Rose)

Junior Dog (6)

1ST Tarkaswell Hollywood Rock Benattivo (Mr C & Mrs S Girling)

A grizzle and tan dog with an aura of quality about him. He has a well proportions head with very pleasing ears and expression. Good rise of neck, well set into shoulder. Moderate angulation both ends, but it balances out well, even if I would prefer slightly more behind. Spannable. Firm topline, pleasing tailset and tail carriage. A really good mover as seen from the side and from behind, if still youthful in his front action.

2ND Bluebabel Your Song (Mr K P & Mrs N B Yeates)

A grizzle and tan dog on the smaller side, still masculine enough. Correct length and width of muzzle. Pleasing neck. Balanced angulation both ends. Spannable. Strong topline. Excellent coat quality. Another good mover, especially from the side.

3RD Arunmere Rhapsody in Red JW (Miss J Hughes)

Yearling Dog (4,1)

1ST Gracezheim Bounce Back to Awbrooksky (Mr R & Miss L Goddard)

A very pleasing grizzle dog indeed. At 13 months old, he won this class with something in hand. He very much filled my eye with his cracking outline. Well shaped and proportioned head with a keen expression. Good neckset. Would prefer some spring of pastern. Spannable. Excellent topline, tailset and tail carriage. A sound mover, keeping his outline and balance on the move.

2ND Badgerbrooke Belongs (Mr N & Mrs K Kemsley)

Another attractive grizzle and tan dog, masculine. Excellent head, pleasing expression. Strong neck. Another who could do with some more spring of pastern. Deep body, barely spannable. Good topline. Moved well from the side, but could improve coming and going. Somewhat proud of his tail.

3RD Badgerbeck Ronon Dex (Miss L M Jenkins)

Post Graduate Dog (5,1)

1ST Arunmere Bullet Proof JW (Miss J Windsor-Hichens)

An impressively athletic grizzle and tan dog. I would not want him any bigger or stronger than this. He has plenty of terrier character and presented a very smart outline. Strong, masculine head. Crested neck. Balanced angulation both ends. Firm topline, good tailset. Not quite spannable. Brilliant coat, harsh and dense. Thick skin. A very sound mover, and on the move again displaying attitude.

2ND Chesterton Vancouver (Mr A J & Mrs W M C Mooney)

A much more moderately sized grizzle and tan dog with a pleasing outline, if not quite butch enough for my preference. Moderate front angulation. Firm topline. Pleasing coat quality. Could do with some more strength and volume to his loin. Moved light on his feet.

3RD Onziemehurst The Red Baron JW (Miss A Nettle)

Limit Dog (7,1)

1ST Jordith Roll Up and Shine JW (Mrs L M I & Mr A M Jordan-Smith)

A smart grizzle and tan dog, he caught my eye standing. Typical, masculine head. Excellent keen expression. Small, well-set ears. Strong neck, pleasing front. Firm topline, well proportioned. Excellent tailset and tail carriage. Could do with some more angulation behind. Moved well from behind and from the side, but could perfect his movement coming towards me.

2ND Thistlemead Fortitude JW (Ms M Heeley)

Well made and constructed grizzle and tan dog. Masculine and strong, but without lumber. Pleasing ears, appealing expression from dark eyes. Strong neck. Balanced angulation both ends. Sound mover. Not quite the spirited temperament one could hope for.

3RD Mysulan Byards Legend JW (Mrs S J Baxter)

Open Dog (9,1)

1ST Ch/Swiss Ch Awbrooksky Never Back Down JW Ww23 (Mr R & Miss L Goddard),

A grizzle and tan dog with a beautiful balance and outline, he truly filled my eye. Moderately sized head with a very attractive keen expression. Strong neck, well set into shoulder. Lovely topline, tailset and tail carriage. He stood very well indeed over his legs and feet. Spannable. Excellent harsh coat quality. He moved very well from all angles, sound and well balanced, very well handled to win the CC.

2ND Ch Brumberhill Bit O’ Blarney JW (Mr S A Mcpherson)

Another dog of excellent type and quality. Blue and tan. He is very well balanced and proportioned and was unlucky to meet the winner. Very typical, well balanced head with excellent eyes and expression. Very good neck into shoulder. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends and with a firm topline making a very beautiful outline. Spannable. Another very sound and purposeful mover from all angles if at times somewhat proud of his tail. resCC

3RD Ch Otterbobs Tolson (Mr J R & Mrs H Gilpin)

Special Beginners (4)

1ST Arunmere Bullet Proof JW (Miss J Windsor-Hichens)

2ND Otterock Trick or Treat (Mrs Kl Affleck)

A grizzle dog with a very pleasing outline, well balanced. His ears are not his fortune. Pleasing neck. Very moderate angulation both ends, he could do with some more. Pleasing topline and tailset. Tended to prance in his front movement today. Not in his best jacket and rather soft in coat. Excellent temperament. A nice and easy mover.

3RD Knowburys Time to Shine (Mr G & Mrs A Morgan)

Veteran Bitch (2,1)

1ST Queen Charlotte (Miss H M Chaplin)

Feminine dark grizzle bitch of excellent size. Correct length of muzzle. Ears a little flighty at nine years of age. Beautiful eye. Short, compact body. Deep chest. Carrying some more weight than she needs to. Moved well for her age.

Minor Puppy Bitch (6)

1ST Dassett Silhouette (Mrs S Spafford)

Feminine blue and tan bitch of lovely type and quality. I liked her shape and outline very much, thus aptly named. Well developed for her young age. Very pleasing head with keen expression. Strong neck, well set. Excellent firm topline, well set tail. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Excellent coat quality. Sound, balanced mover. Lovely!

2ND Rockslade Rave Review (Miss G & Mr T Lowe & Miles)

A younger bitch, grizzle and tan, instantly attractive with lovely overall quality and immaculately sound. She needs to grow up a little more on her legs with maturity. Brilliant coat and great personality. The soundest of movers. Definitely one for the future.

3RD Brumberhill Bit of A Do (Mr S A Mcpherson)

Puppy Bitch (4)

1ST Glebeheath Marigold (Mrs J Guvercin

Truly sensational eleven months old grizzle and tan bitch puppy, the best possible of all worlds. She corresponds to my ideal to a T. I love her type, proportions, outline, constructions and above all her great star appeal and attitude. She has everything the breed standard asks for and more and is very hard to fault seriously. She moved like a million dollars as her construction would indicate. I felt grateful to have her in my ring and was happy to award her not just Best Puppy, but also the CC & BOB, I predict the first of many.

2ND Benattivo Vanity Fair (Mr C & Mrs S Girling)

Well made grizzle and tan bitch with a lovely head and expression. Moderate, balanced angulation. Needs to firm up in her topline with maturity. Excellent harsh coat quality. A very sound mover.

3RD Arunmere Worth The Wait (Miss J Hughes)

Junior Bitch (8)

1ST Rockslade Rebel Rebel (Miss G & Mr T Lowe & Miles)

A very smart and feminine grizzle and tan bitch of excellent size. Beautiful, well proportioned head and typical keen expression. Strong and arched neck. Very moderate angulation both ends, but it balances and evens out. Excellent topline and tailset. Another sound and efficient mover from all angles.

2ND Tarkaswell Hollywood Fame JW (Mrs C E Sansom)

Standing I preferred this blue and tan bitch for her shape and outline. Excellent expression even if her jaws could be stronger. Excellent neck into shoulder. Excellent topline. Balanced angulation. Lovely coat quality. Even if she moved soundly, she could carry herself better on the move and could have won the class if she did.

3RD Wilholme Angels Envy (Mr D W Shields)

Yearling Bitch (4,1)

1ST Flegato Fons Amoris (Mrs M Fleming)

Young grizzle and tan bitch with very pleasing outline and proportions. Strong bitch head, well proportioned. Good neck into shoulder. Could put more weight on her front legs when standing, but balances out well on the move as well as sound. Spannable. Pleasing topline and tailset. In an excellent jacket.

2ND Tarkaswell Lone Wolf (Mrs C E Sansom)

Another grizzle and tan bitch with very pleasing proportions, but softer in her outline. Attractive head with pleasing expression. Balanced angulation both ends. Excellent harsh coat quality. Moved OK if not quite as firm as the winner.

3RD Badgerbeck Little Jeannie at Bluebabel JW (Mr K P & Mrs N B Yeates)

Post Graduate Bitch (10,1)

1ST Rockslade Rebel Rebel (Miss G & Mr T Lowe & Miles)

2ND Mysulan Byards Lass JW (Mrs S J Baxter)

Gizzle bitch of very attractive type and quality. She is small and feminine, well proportioned and shapely. More angulation than the winner, but not the drive. Attractive, feminine head. Moderate neck. Balanced angulation. Strong topline. Falls away a bit more than ideal over the croup. Excellent coat quality and skin.

3RD Itsaso A Beacon of Hope JW (Mrs L & Miss P Wain & Edens)

Limit Bitch (8,1)

1ST Otterbobs Indeedido (Mr J R & Mrs H Gilpin)

Attractively small grizzle and tan bitch, very feminine, very well made and with good length of leg for balance. Attractive, well balanced head with strong jaws. Good neck into shoulder. Clean outline, well set tail. Could put some more weight over her front legs when standing. Excellent coat quality. She moved soundly from all angles. Definitely one to be reckoned with and one of the best Borders here today.

2ND Mysulan Rhapsody in Blue (Mrs S J Baxter)

Another very feminine bitch, similar to the winner in shape if blue and tan in colour. Pleasing head proportions, but her ears make her loose some of her keen expression. Easily spannable. Moderate angulation both ends. Very pleasing coat. Moved soundly coming and going.

3RD Arunmere Artemis (Mrs A J Parsons)

Open Bitch (7,1)

1ST Ch Glebeheath Jolene JW (Mrs J Guvercin)

Not a small bitch, but still feminine and very well balanced. Grizzle and tan. Typical, well proportioned head with a keen expression. Very pleasing reach of neck. Firm topline. Well set and carried tail. I would prefer just a bit more angulation behind. She moved very well indeed from all angles. In the final line-up she looked similar to the winner, but could still not really compete with her and had to be content with the resCC.

2ND Ch Orangebox A New Hope at Itsaso ShCEx (Mrs L Wain)

Another well balanced gizzle and tan bitch of excellent type and quality. Typical head with feminine, still keen expression. Well set neck into shoulder. Firm topline. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. An excellent mover from all angles, sound and with very good drive.

3RD Int/se/fin/dk/nor/lt Ch Fightingstar’s Double Trouble (Miss N Henderson)
