DARLINGTON PUGS
Thank you to my competent steward who kept things on track and to the exhibitors for the sporting way you accepted my placings. Overall I found the breed to be in good health, two or three were carrying a bit too much weight, a couple of heavier over nose wrinkles and one raspy breathing.

2. Mitchells CH PUGALICIUOS HUFFLEPUFF AT SNUGGLEPUG. In great shape for his 9 years. Well ribbed and level topline. Large head and good definition. Moved freely with his legs well under. Close up to 1.

PD 5(0). 1. Upchurch and Upchurch’s PULCHRA POKEMON. A pleasing apricot with a lovely outline, being short, square and level. Great definition of the black in his head markings. I loved his solicitous expression. He moved with good lift in his forelegs and freedom in his hind action. BP
2. Mccahill’s NICOBRI THATS NOT MY NAME OF DAVARLIN. Another puppy of high quality. Level topline with good ribbing. Great set on and twist. Excellent head wrinkle and black definition. He too moved correctly and with a slight roll. Today I just preferred the e expression of 1.

OD 11(0). What a class this was! I had to do a short list and even then most could change places on another day, and I had to come down to some fine points to make my decisions.
1.Trueloves CH NIJACPUGS HOT AS HELL . A handsome silver fawn of outstanding breed type demonstrating “much in little”. Firmly knit in hard body condition, nothing exaggerated. He moved as he looked as though he would, a lesson in the gait described in the standard. Beautiful head, wrinkling and black points, dark eyes and solicitous expression. Full of charm and dignity. CC &BOB

3.Byrne’s MILUCKSIN AMILLION
JB 1(0) 1. Dawson – Payne & Mousley’s JUDAMIE’S EDITH’S SUNSHINE. Stood alone but took my eye for her outstanding quality. Exuded charm and intelligent liveliness. Square and cobby in outline with well sprung ribs. Exquisite head and expression from her dark eyes and lovely wrinkling with all the black points clearly defined. OB 15(3) What a wonderful class this was. I felt honoured to have so many high quality bitches to go over and my final places were made on very fine margins.
1Storey’s RHODENASH KANDOO KAROUSEL. Of beautiful breed type and class, her conformation shouts “multum in parvo”. When handled she was in hard condition, and showed charm and dignity. Great balance to her head with beautiful wrinkling and a soft expression. Her black head points were lovely and she even had a trace. On the move she went as she looked as though she could, with true leg placement, freedom and a gentle roll. CC
2 Cowie’s CH AFTERGLOW ESTHER LA VISTA MEGIPUGI. One of beautiful quality, breed type and character. Square and cobby, level in the top line and the most exquisite of heads, being large and well wrinkled and blunt in the muzzle. Her definitions are excellent. She moved in correct Pug style. Not quite so firm in her body on handling today.
