My sincere thanks to the Committee for inviting me to judge at your show, this was a particularly memorable appointment for me as my first UK CC appointment and I am grateful to the Committee for placing their confidence in me. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors for their support in entering under me and for accepting my decisions with such good grace. It was particularly pleasing to see exhibitors congratulating one another, creating such a friendly and positive atmosphere both in and around the ring, which made the appointment all the more enjoyable. Finally, my thanks go to my excellent Ring Stewards, Grant Hughes and Wayne Patterson, whose efficiency and good humour ensured the day ran smoothly.

1ST 1428 - Berwynfa Pole Position (Mrs F Pynegar)
Seven-and-a-half-month-old still very much a baby, presenting a pleasing overall picture for his age. Attractive head with clean dark eyes, although I would prefer slightly tighter haw. Well placed ears, good mouth and wide open nostrils. Good bone throughout with a front that is developing well, reasonably tight feet and pleasing proportions. Good depth of chest for his age and pleasing hindquarters, although I would prefer him a little shorter in hock. A little untidy coming towards today, which is understandable at this stage of development, but moved well enough for his age. A promising youngster.

1ST 1429 - Berwynfa Racing Lines (Mrs F Pynegar)
Seven-and-a-half-month-old youngster who appealed for his overall balance and promise. At the rangy stage as expected and needs to drop further in chest with maturity. Masculine head developing well with pleasing expression, nice tight fitting eyelids, correct upturn of muzzle with open nostrils. Good bone throughout, pleasing topline and developing body. Moved positively around the ring, although still a little loose in front as expected for his age. Well handled. A very promising youngster.
2ND 1441 - Ashronsha Mr Lover Lover (Mrs S Spencer)
Ten-month-old presenting a slightly longer cast outline than first place. Attractive head, although carrying a little excess wrinkle at present. Open nostrils and tight fitting eyelids. Good bone throughout with feet that could be a little tighter. Good depth of chest for his age. Moved soundly but on the day I preferred the winner's more positive profile movement and overall shape.

Fifteen-month-old masculine dog presenting a pleasing square outline. Good bone throughout and an attractive masculine head with wide muzzle, good mouth and chin. Neck could be a little cleaner. Dark eye with lovely expression, reasonably open nostrils and pleasing proportions. Good topline and tailset, moving well away and maintaining his outline on the go round. Very well presented and handled.
2ND 1396 - Marbelton Mix'n Match (Miss L A Kavanagh)
Seventeen-month-old. Head appeared slightly small in proportion to his body but had pleasing expression, good open nostrils and a well padded muzzle. Slightly over-wrinkled when alert. Clean neck, good depth of chest, lovely topline and pleasing tailset. Well muscled throughout and moved soundly. Just preferred the overall movement and balance of the winner today.

Just under two years old masculine dog. Strong head with good upturn of muzzle and tight fitting eyelids. Would prefer slightly more open nostrils. Good bone, depth of chest and tight feet. Three-year-old red and white dog with masculine head and dark eye. Lovely neck and good bone. Tight feet would complete the picture. Good upturn of muzzle, although eyelids could be tighter.
