Best Puppy in Show
It was a great thrill to be invited to judge all of the Groups and Best Puppy in Show at WELKS. Thank you to the ladies for their invitation and hospitality throughout the show. It's a cliche to say I was spoilt for choice over the 4 days, but it's true and the quality was excellent throughout. All 7 of the group winners impressed me but in end it was the Australian Shepherd Sparkaway Gets My Goat who was BPIS, Standing he is a picture of quality and balance, so typical in head and eye and in immaculate condition throughout. On the move he is so accurate for one so young and really comes into his own with an easy and effortless profile gait. Add to that his outgoing personality and natural charisma, it had to be him!
Reserve best puppy in show was the handsome Greyhound, so typical in outline and of generous proportions, he has a quality head with bright eyes and an intelligent expression. So well constructed and conditioned it was no surprise he moved so well in all directions. He has a look of quality and cannot be ignored in any company, a great future is assured.
