Longcoat Chihuahuas

Firstly may I thank the Exhibitors for a super entry at a time in the world of high prices and economic demands. Also for those who travelled from afar for my opinion. I do indeed deem it to be a great compliment. Many thanks to my two very able stewards who kept the ring running smoothly.

Good Citizens Dog Scheme 4

1st. Skinners, Tyssul Awel Mynydd ShCE. Ruby eyed, self pigment in good coat moving well. He is well made and well muscled. 2nd. Fellone & Priestley, Campanilachi Marshmallow Of Emarachis. Rich fawn full of life and happy to be in the ring. Good coat and furnishings. Moved well. 3. Ralph, Stormchi Blaize of Glory. Another who was enjoying their day and presented a good performance. Good coat and nice movement gave a nice picture.

MP Dog. 1 (1)

1st. Robson, Tidos The Best Man. This baby stood alone but it was to his credit that it did not seem to faze him much at such a large noisy venue. Red sable, coat coming on well. Good head properties and good expression. Well bodied and moved well. He, for me, is a little long and low in comformation at this stage but fair to say he has time on his side. Good luck going forward.

Puppy Dog. 5(0)

1st. Grays, Rubyanlo El Vincitore. Lovely red sable boy who for me ticks all the boxes. He has a copy book head and lovely expression. Pigment is dark and in harmony with coat colour. Well made meant he moved well and exhibited swift happy movement. Coat and furnishings coming on well for age. Best Puppy Dog. He was well handled with sympathy and is one to watch for the future. 2. Taylor’s, Chantaydan In It To Win It. Cream and white promising puppy, well handled. He could have won it on another day, but number one was firing on all cylinders. Nothing to dislike about this well made puppy. He moved and showed well and all bodes well for the future. 3. Wraggs, Happy King. Red good quality puppy who will improve with more ring training and experience. Well made and put together. Good for breed type.

Junior. 10(0)

1st. Kriuchkova, Legado De Lagos Muy Mucho. Cream boy strong in breed type. Correct in make and shape. Well bodied and toned. Coat of correct texture coming on well for age. This dog impressed me with his swift happy movement, considered for higher honours that I am sure will come with maturity. 2nd. Rengers, Queen of Lightning New Beginning NLD JCH. Cream who was close up to the winner for breed type and qualities. He was just edged out with the winners swift movement but much of what was said about number one applies to this lovely dog also. Two super examples of the breed to be proud of. Good luck going forward. 3. Day, Bisson, Beaumont, Monicachi Money Talks At Beaulamey. Red boy who is up for me on leg and rather lacking in coat. He is good for breed type, but for me hes raw just now and I feel the best is yet to come with this one. Moved well and did all that was asked of him.

Yearling 13(0)

1st. Sparrow, Ch. Casarow’s Albakirkkey JW. Well coated small exhibit with good head properties. Fine boned but well bodied. He moved well and showed off his charms to annex the top spot in this class. Not much I would change with this one. Well handled. 2. Bielena, El Diablo Right Royal. Red who pushed the winner hard for top spot. Well made and in top condition he particularly impressed. With his super movement. I liked him lots. Good luck going forward. 3. Heap and Palmer, Chirouxe Major Tom. Red, sable of good breed type, well made and well bodied another boy who indicates if they are made right then they move right.

Post Graduate 11(1)

1st. Webber, Paisano Will The Wellerman. Red gold with an excellent mouth in a good coat, moving with reach and drive. Shown at one with his handler. Put down in the top condition a credit to his owner. 2. Robin, Legado De Lagos Abu Dhabi. Nice red boy who today was a little lacking in coat but still presented a good picture on the stand and when moving. Good for breed type and shown to best advantage by his handler. 3rd. Garcia, After The Sunset Hamilton. A small blue fawn boy who stood four square and true, ticking many of the boxes for breed quality but today was lacking in coat.

Limit 9 (0)

1st. Barker, Mocha Vanilla Baralicia JW. String dawn with super dentition and copy book head. Good pigment. Masculine without coarseness. Ample bone, well bodied. Moves well coming and going. Considered for higher awards. 2. Patterson, Bramerita Mr Motown With Bratilda. Fawn sable boy in good coat . Lovely head properties, super dentition. Well made and well put down. A dog who I rated highly. Just wish he showed a little more confidence in his ring presence. Predict a good future all being well. 3.

Humphreys, Amarantos Meet Joe Black. Blackout and cream, Glamorous boy in good coat. Lovely head and expression. Super dentition. Moved well coming soon. Just needs to body up a tad.

Open Dog. 18(2)

1st. Murphy, Aphienna Oh Mio My. Striking pale fawn in full coat, showing. ideal head qualities with excellent dentition. Pigment is strong. Fine boned but strong bodied. Well made with level top line, full well set tail. He stood four square and moved with reach and drive creating a lovely picture as he circled the ring. This dog ticked all the boxes for me and is perhaps in the top of the Longcoats I’ve ever judged. CC and Best of Breed over a super bitch CC winner as he was in full coat and this just edged it. Well done N.I. on fielding two top drawer exhibits. 2nd. Kriuchkova, SP/SLO/HUN/ROM Ch. Master Yoda S Lipetskoh Ozer. A white male with excellent pigment for coat colour. Small and strong for breed virtues. Small but well made. Good dentition.

Moving straight and true but today in comparison with his competition he lacked coat but still worthy of the RCC. I was surprised to see this exhibitor confront one of my stewards in the dog challenge, as they had not at that point been called in for. You do not enter the ring in the UK and demand attention to your dog for the RCC unless the judge elect calls for you. Worry not, if you are required you will be called, we know what we are doing. 3. Eriksmoen, SE/DE/NOR/FIN Ch. Chi’s Bodacious True Illusion. Pale fawn boy at one with handler. Ice coat of correct texture. Well put down. Nice to go over on the table. Good head properties. He moved well today and did all that was asked of him.

Veteran. 13

How lovely to see these golden oldies out on force enjoying their day out. A hard choice had to be made as all that came before me were a credit to their owners.

1st. Berrington, Ellochi Crazy Nights For Pappersley. Rich fawn with cream underbelly in great form today and very much on his toes. This dog would not have looked out of place in Open Dog. Put down in excellent condition and showed at one with his handler. Has all the breed requirements and for me there is nothing I would change. In full coat just put the cherry on the top. BVIB. 2. Hargreaves, Th Ch. Winchis Arnold Noah. Another who belies his age pushing the winner very hard. A red and white boy who I have admired before and still do. In good coat of correct texture. He showed well just being edged out by the verve of the winner. 3. Humphreys, Ch. Amarantos Tobin. Well known Parti coloured boy who had served the breed well. Appeals on head properties. Enjoying his day out just lacking in coat today compared to the first two.

Onto the girls now starting with

Good Citizen Scheme 11(1)

1st. Skinner, Tyssul Zafira JW ShCEx OSW VW. A fawn sable in good coat. Nice head. Good pigment. put down in good order as are all from this exhibitor. Good on the table and on the move. Looked somewhat immature compared to others in the class but her quality is clear to see. 3. Doran, Chantaydan Deja Vu with Osakazuki. Another well made exhibit enjoying her day out. Good to go over and pleasing in movement. Faced strong competition in this class.

MPB. 2(0).

Well what a choice to make between these two beautiful babies who are litter sisters. Two cream sables from the top drawer that any breeder would be proud to have bred.

1st. Silverstein, Bramerita Posy of Violets at Silverchi. More my type as she’s a little more cobby of the two. Super head properties and dentition. Good pigment. She moved like a dream with a spirit level top line. I was smitten enough to award her RCC, BPB, BPIB against the strongest competition. 2. Hornby, Bramerita Priceless. Close up to one, a tad finer and not so positive in movement. The winner was also a little more settled and stable over her sister who can become distracted. All the super breed attributes mentioned also apply here. I am sure they will flip and flop placings many times. A credit to breeder and prefix.

PB. 10(2)

1st. O'Reilly & O'Brien, Bramerita Blooming Gawjus. Striking red/white refined feminine example. Well made but not heavy or overdone. Yes another fine example from this kennel. She stood out to me as soon as she entered the ring and just sailed around the ring. Ticks all the boxes and has a super head and expression. Considered for higher awards . 2. Titterrell/Bruce, Microschihuas She Dazzles Wow for Caballie (imp Sb). Cream who was strong for breed type. Good pigmentation for colour. Good make and shape. Giving a good account on the move. Just could not match the sass of the winner, but I liked her a lot. 3. Gilling, Chantico Black Diamond of Talocan. Black tri who presented a bigger example. Level topline and excels in movement. Ideal head properties with correct expression. Just coming into her own and will trouble the best. 2. Martin, Multi Ch. Chihohit Favorite Evolution. Cream who I found to be very correct in all main departments. Plainer in head than the winner but none the poorer for that. She moved

Well and was good to go over on the table. Bone was good as was shape and make.

My notes say excellent movement. 3. Skinner, Mujerose Miss Talkulah. Gold sable lady put down in good order as are all from this kennel. She pleased on the table showing she was well made and this lead on to her super movement. She was at one with her owner giving good ring presence.

Post Graduate 16 (0)

1st. Berrington and Smith, Pappersley Chomolungma. Red fawn lady of old fashioned type. She has a lean tapered muzzle with excellent dentition. A feminine head with correct set large ears with full fringes. Pigment is good. Bone is ample and table examination ticked all the boxes. This bitch excelled in two quarters, movement that is effortless and her showmanship. Very much in tune with her handler. This edged her in front from stiff competition particularly in this class. 2. Humphreys, Amarantos Danyka. Cream sable who I must admit is a bit of a favourite of mine and when she entered the ring she had all guns blazing. She passed the table examination with flying colours showing excellent head properties. Good body and condition. She moved well at first, but was not happy about something and kept losing her mojo. I gave her every chance to rally but it was not to be today. I wish her well in the future. 3. Vandelikova, Kiss Me Colo Ave Bengal. Put down in the very best of order. A credit to owner and breeder alike. CC. In the final show for BOB, I was hard pressed with two super examples of the breed, both from Northern Ireland. After much thought, the nod was given to the male on his fuller coat, but the girl ran him close. 2. Hornby, Ch. Bramerita Little Read Head. Well known red girl of a more workman like build. Typical head qualities as required of a champion.

A great asset to any kennel. Sturdy, well made yet not large or course. Lovely to go over on the table. Moves with style showing a level topline and good reach and drive.
