The Irish Setter of Scotland Show, held on 11th April 2026 at Lanark Agricultural Centre, was a most

enjoyable appointment, and I would like to begin by sincerely thanking the committee for inviting me

to judge. I was made to feel extremely welcome, and I must commend the committee on the

efficient and friendly running of the show, which ensured the day flowed smoothly from start to

inish.

My thanks also go to my two efficient stewards, Jan Armstrong and Dave Hemmings, for their

excellent assistance throughout the day, and for Dave kindly taking photographs, which is always

much appreciated. I would also like to extend my gratitude to all exhibitors who entered their dogs

under me especially in the current economic climate and for accepting my decisions in such good

spirit. The standard of sportsmanship was excellent throughout.

On the whole, most exhibits were well presented, well-trimmed, and turned out in good condition,

which was pleasing to see. However, I did have a few areas of concern which I feel are worth noting

for the future development of the breed.

My main concern today was the incidence of incorrect mouths, particularly in some of the younger

exhibits. This is something that needs careful attention, as it is an important breed feature and

should be guarded closely going forward.

I am also noticing a gradual loss of the desired gently sloping topline that should flow smoothly from

well laid shoulders through to a balanced croup. Instead, there are increasing numbers of level

toplines with a dip in the middle of the back, which detracts from the correct outline and the overall

racy appearance we are striving to maintain in the breed.

Another point of concern is the appearance of gay tails becoming more frequent. Whilst I could

perhaps forgive this to a small degree in a dog, I would not consider it acceptable in a bitch, where a

correct tail carriage is particularly important for breed type and balance.

Overall, however, the majority of exhibits were presented in excellent condition and clearly well

cared for, and I would like to thank all exhibitors once again for the opportunity to judge their dogs.

1. Gilray’s Forfarian Take a Chance: - 14-month-old dog with a lovely masculine head, showing

enough stop, dark unshelled almond eyes, with a soft gentle expression.. Good length

arched neck. Adequate return of upper arm, firm topline. Correct small, neat feet. If the

owner puts in some time and work on him he has great potential.

Yearling Dog 3

1. Hignett-Capper, Capper,Kassube & French’s: - Cararua Pearl of The North: - Handsome,

attractive dog, head nicely balanced, with correct stop, lovely reach of neck flowing into well

placed shoulders. The handler has a tendency to over-stretch the dog which exaggerates his

topline and he loses his bend of stifle. On the move he drove out covering the ground well

2. Cayton-Lee Dedroch Major Oak: - Handsome boy, well made, with no exaggeration. Nice

masculine head and expression. Excellent body and angulations. Nice gently sloping topline,

with correct tailset

3. Macfarlane: - Harelferg Macfarlane for Umifrido: - Masculine head with raised brows and a

soft expression. A heavier built dog

1. Holmes’ Gwendariff Mr Blue Sky: - A well balanced dog with good quarters and bend of stifle

and width through first and second thighs. Very nice bone. Good head planes of equal

proportions, dark eye, low ear set. Lots of work in the head. I did consider him for the Res

CC.

2. Kassube’s Thendara Hot Diamond and Cararua: - Masculine head of pleasing proportions

with a dark, expressive eye and correctly low set ears. Lovely reach of neck flowing into

well‑placed shoulders. Excellent front assembly, good depth of chest with well‑sprung ribs.

Lost out to one who had a better topline.

Graduate Dog 7 (1)

1. Walker’s: - Gwendariff Hanky Panky JW (IKC): - - Nice typey dog, balanced with good

proportions and correct moderate slope in topline. A very handsome head of good

proportions with a dark eye raised brows giving a true quizzical Irish expression. Excellent

body, angulations, bone and feet. Moved with drive around the ring.

2. Holeman’s – Loganrish Tiger Warrior JW: - Was very unfortunate to come up against 1. A

really well-balanced dog with a clean, elegant outline. He is masculine yet still racy, with

plenty of substance. His head is long and well chiselled with correct proportions, nicely

raised brows, good depth of muzzle, low-set ears, dark eyes, and a kind expression. A lovely

reach of neck flowing into well-laid shoulders with a good return of upper arm. There is good

depth to his chest, a correct topline, and well-angled hindquarters, being long from hip to

hock with well let down hocks, which he used to his advantage on the move driving showing

a clean pair of heels.

3. Sheldon’s Bardonhill That’s All Right at Delsanto: - A handsome headed dog presenting a

clean and balanced outline. Strong, arched neck set into correct well laid shoulders, gently

sloping top line. Balanced angles fore and aft. with strength over the loin. Strong, wide

quarters,

Post Graduate Dog 4

1. Davison’s Bardonhill Million Reasons: - A lovely handsome dog, his head is well balanced,

lovely muzzle and large black nose. His eyes are soft and full of expression. Neck well arched

and muscular, clean shoulders and gently sloping topline. Well-developed hindquarters

enabling him to move with flowing driving action. Shown in hard muscular condition, lovely

dark coat.

2. Russell’s Tiroen Touch of Magic by Settesoli (Imp KCJ) JW: - Racy and balanced with a gently

sloping topline, deep chest and pronounced sternum. Ribs well sprung and carried well back.

Tail set on just below the level of the back and carried well. Head long and lean with an oval

skull. Dark eye, low set ears of moderate length. Rich chestnut coloured coat in good

condition. Nice bend of stifle with short hocks, giving a good rear driving action on the move.

Handler needs to watch his front legs as he tends to pull back on his front that spoils his top

line.

3. Jacobs & Bernard: - Forfarian Fancy Footwork JW: - A very eye-catching, well-balanced dog in

full coat who makes a strong impression in the ring. He has an attractive head, with dark eyes

and a bright, intelligent expression, and his ears are set correctly which adds to his overall

look. His neck is a good length and flows nicely into well-placed shoulders, with a matching

return of upper arm, giving him a sound front. He has a deep chest with well-sprung ribs,

showing good body and strength, and his powerful hindquarters provide plenty of drive. On

the move, he was a little untidy at times and could benefit from settling to show his true

action more clearly. Presentation-wise, the handler tends to overstretch him when standing

and sets him a little too wide behind. This takes away from his natural outline and balance,

so a more relaxed, natural stance would improve his overall profile and allow his qualities to

be seen to best advantage.

Limit Dog 10 (2)

1. Richardson’s Bardonhill Mcintosh Red at Montgreenan JW: - A super-shaped, racy dog with a

refined and very pleasing overall outline. He has a well-balanced, masculine head with a kind

expression, helped by raised brows that clearly show the stop. The skull is nicely oval, with a

prominent occiput adding to the correct head profile. He carries a moderately long, arched

and muscular neck which flows smoothly into well laid-back shoulders, giving him a strong

and balanced front assembly. He is deep through the ribs, which are well sprung, and has

good length from hip to hock, contributing to his overall athletic shape. His coat is coming on

well and he was presented in hard, fit condition. He excels in body, with correct angulation

throughout, supported by good bone and neat, tidy feet. His topline has a gentle slope and is

maintained well on the move, finishing with a correct tail set. On the move, he goes well

around the ring with drive and style, showing both energy and control. Overall, a quality

masculine dog who is well put together and presented to advantage.

2. Sheldon’s Bardonhill A Million Ways to Delsanto: - A very honest dog with no exaggeration,

presenting a lovely, balanced outline. His topline is correct, gently sloping through to the tail,

which completes the picture nicely when stood. He has a pleasing head with a kind

expression, and is clean through the neck, giving a neat and well put-together appearance in

front. His angulation is good both in the forehand and hindquarters, allowing him to stand

naturally and in balance. He is in full coat and very well presented, which adds to his overall

appeal in the ring. On the move, he is sound and steady, covering the ground without fuss

and holding his shape well.

3. Lucas’ Gwendariff Batchelor Boy: - Well-presented eye-catching dog, pleasing head and

expression, handsome with oval skull, raised brows showing stop and a dark eye.

These dogs are all worthy champions of the breed and will changes places many times in the future

1. Ellrich’s Sh Ch Ir Sh Ch, Fin Sh Ch Gwendariff Absolutely Marwe’llus (IKC) Ww25, Ww24,

Cw24: - An eye-catching dog presented in excellent muscular condition and a well

maintained coat, clearly fit and well prepared for the ring. He has a super head with a very

appealing expression and a refined overall look. Dark unshelled almond eye adding to his

keen and attentive expression. He carries a moderately, arched neck which flows smoothly

into a good front assembly, giving him balance and presence in profile. I really liked his

overall cleanliness through head, neck, and topline, all of which come together to create a

well-put-together outline. His tail is set correctly, carried just below the level of the back,

which complements his overall shape. He has good rear angulation, which he uses effectively

on the move, driving well and showing plenty of power and purpose. Overall, a stylish and

well-conditioned dog who presents himself very well in both stance and motion. Pleased to

award him the Challenge Certificate (CC).

2. Beresford’s Sh Ch Jetsetter Wind of Dreams (Imp Rus): - A very pleasing, well-balanced dog

with a strong, attractive outline that really holds the eye. He has a well-defined head with a

clear stop and nicely pronounced eyebrows, giving him good expression and character. His

neck is of good length and flows smoothly into well-laid shoulders, creating a balanced and

elegant fore chest. The front construction is very sound, with a deep chest that provides

plenty of heart room and strength. His ribs are well sprung and carried well back, adding to

his overall substance and stability. He also has a correct, gently sloping topline which he

holds well both standing and moving. His hindquarters are well made and balanced, with

good angulation and short rear pasterns contributing to efficiency and drive. On the move he

covered the ground well, showing good coordination and purpose. He was not shown in the

best of coat today but his overall conformation and movement today made him worthy of

this place and I was very pleased to award him the Reserve Challenge Certificate (Res CC).

3. Danks’ Sh Ch Alolfrana All I Ask of You of Eveandabec JW: - This dog was unfortunate to meet

1 and 2 he is a good example of the breed, scoring highly for overall type. He has an excellent

well-proportioned head that immediately catches the eye, and everything flows together

nicely, giving him a balanced and harmonious outline. His angles are well matched both front

and rear, which contributes to his overall symmetry and correctness. His shoulders are well

laid back and he uses them effectively on the move, showing good reach in front. He has

strong, well-constructed hindquarters with well let down hocks, allowing him to drive

forward with purpose and drive. This gives him a sound, balanced movement that is both

pleasing and functional. He is presented in first-class condition with excellent muscle tone

throughout. This level of fitness really enhances his performance and overall appearance,

making him a pleasure to assess.

Veteran Dog 4 (1)

1. Russell’s Sh Ch Lynwood Hocus Pocus as Settesoli JW: - A very honest 8 ¾ -year-old dog, well

made dog with no exaggeration anywhere. His head is attractive and balanced, his neck is

clean and flows nicely into well laid-back shoulders, correctly sloping topline that runs

smoothly from his shoulders through to his tail. and he is well angled both in front and

behind. He is presented in a full, well-kept coat and is in excellent condition. On the move he

is sound and steady, covering the ground well. This is a great example of the breed maturing

at the right pace. Setters should not be rushed, and he is clearly now at his best, looking

every bit in his prime. A credit to his owner and breeder who must be very proud of him.

2. Toms’ Ir Ch,Ir Sh Ch, Int Ch Toberbilly I Wish You Luck Jun Ch, Jd Cen.w Cw23 Vet Ch: - This 8

½ -year-old dog was at his very best today and showed himself with real experience and ring

presence, clearly demonstrating how a mature dog should be presented. He is in excellent

hard condition for his age, showing fitness, strength, and careful upkeep. He has an excellent

body, with good angulation throughout, strong bone, and well-formed feet, all contributing

to his overall soundness and durability. He has a gently sloping topline which he holds well,

along with a correct tail set that complements his overall outline. His masculine head and

expression add strength and presence without losing breed type. He is presented in a good,

well-maintained coat, appropriate for his age and condition. On the move, he goes around

with drive, style, and purpose, showing that even at 8 ½ years old he is still moving well and

enjoying himself

3. Murchison’s Kerryfair Please Please Me Corphin Shcex: - A pleasing 7 ¾ dog, with a well

proportioned head, featuring a nice dark eye and low-set ears which suit his expression and

overall type. He has a good, firm topline which he holds well, and a correct tail set that

balances his outline. His shoulders are well laid with a corresponding upper arm, giving him a

balanced and functional front assembly. He has good spring and depth of rib, providing

substance and room for heart and lung. His hindquarters are moderate and well-constructed,

offering enough strength without exaggeration, keeping him balanced and athletic. He is

presented in good coat and muscle condition, showing he is well cared for and fit. Overall, a

balanced and honest dog with good construction and a pleasing outline.

1. Davie’s Zimbra Della Magna Sila at Lochfrae (Imp Ita): - A very elegant 8-month-old puppy

who already shows a great deal of promise for the future. She has a lovely head,

complemented by a soft, appealing expression and a dark, well-set eye that adds to her

overall charm. Her outline is particularly eye-catching, giving her a balanced and attractive

shape when viewed from any angle. She stands on a good, straight front, which provides a

solid foundation, and her rear angulation is well made, allowing for efficient movement.

Altogether, she presents as a very well put together youngster, and with continued

development and maturity, she should go on to do very well.

2. Kolbaach’s Zuri Della Magna Sila Per Pawswood(Imp Ita): - A litter sister to 1. I really loved

her head and expression, which immediately catches the eye for its femininity and softness,

with a kind, intelligent outlook. She has good shoulder placement, which gives her a well

balanced outline and allows for good reach in front. Her front is straight and true, standing

on good quality bone and neat feet, giving a solid and honest foundation. She was not quite

as settled in the ring and moving as 1.

3. Mutch’s Astleyviiew Dazzeling Moon: - A very feminine 8-month-old puppy who immediately

appeals for her overall type and balance. I particularly liked her head, which is well shaped

with a soft, gentle expression that adds to her charm. She has good shoulder placement,

allowing for a clean outline, and a nice straight front which gives her a sound and tidy

appearance when standing.

Puppy Bitch 4

1. Henderson’s Sametsuz Speak in Code: - This 11-month-old bitch absolutely oozes quality and

promise. She is a lovely, well-made youngster who already shows many of the hallmarks you

would hope to see at this stage. Her head is very pleasing, with a nicely shaped oval skull

from ear to ear, free from any coarseness, and well balanced by a foreface of equal length.

She has a correct dark, almond-shaped eye that gives her a soft, intelligent expression. Her

neck is strong and of good length, flowing smoothly into well-placed shoulders, giving her a

balanced and elegant outline. She stands well over the ground, with a pleasing, gently

sloping topline that is maintained both standing and on the move, and a correct tail set that

completes the picture. She is presented in a lovely rich, dark coat, which enhances her

overall quality and breed type. On the move, she is sound and true, covering the ground with

ease and showing good coordination for her age. A very promising young bitch with a bright

future ahead of her. I was delighted to award her Best Puppy in Show.

2. Stevenson’s Gwendariff Cracklin Rosie for Lothlorien (IKC): - A very promising puppy who

immediately catches the eye for her elegance and overall balance. She has a lovely feminine

head, well proportioned, with a soft, gentle, melting expression that gives her real appeal.

Her construction is sound, with correct upper arm angulation and a strong, well-shaped neck

lowing smoothly into well laid shoulders. She stands on a nice straight front, supported by

small, firm, catlike feet which complete a neat and tidy picture. On the move she went well,

showing good coordination and balance for her age, covering the ground with ease. Still very

much a youngster, but she shows plenty of quality and potential for the future and will be

one to watch as she continues to mature.

Junior Bitch 3

Three quality young ladies who could change places at any time in the future.

1. Walsh & Neill’s Gwendariff Greta Garbo (IKC): - This 13-month-old bitch has the most

delightful head and expression, full of charm and breed character. She has a good amount of

stop which gives her the correct eye position and shape, enhanced by nicely raised brows

that add to her appealing, feminine look. Her front assembly is well angulated, allowing for

good reach, and she stands on strong, quality bone with neat, tight feet. She has a pleasing

body, with a deep, well-sprung rib that is carried well back into a strong, firm loin, giving her

both substance and balance. Behind, she is well made with wide hindquarters, a moderate

bend of stifle, and a good length of croup, all of which contribute to a solid and functional

outline. Altogether, a well-constructed young bitch who is developing nicely and has plenty

to like as she continues to mature.

2. Williamson’s Keljaru En Vogue - A slightly heavier type of bitch, but she is well put together

with everything in the right place, giving a balanced and workmanlike overall picture. She has

a lovely head full of character, with a pleasing expression that draws the eye. She shows a

good fore chest and depth through the body, providing plenty of heart room and is well

supported on strong bone. Her rear angulation is good, with strength through the stifle and

down into neat, tight feet, giving her a solid and reliable framework. On the move she came

into her own, going out with confidence and purpose, showing good drive from behind and

covering the ground well.

3. Holeman’s Loganrish Winter Pearl Moon JW: - Another quality young lady who presents a

balanced, racy outline that immediately catches the eye. She is feminine throughout, with a

well-proportioned head where foreface and skull are in good balance, showing a clean,

refined expression. Her stop is adequate without being overdone, and she has a pleasing eye

shape with a dark, kind eye that enhances her overall expression. She carries a clean, elegant

neck that flows smoothly into well laid shoulders, giving her a good reach in front. There is

an excellent return of upper arm, which contributes to her correct front assembly and allows

for efficient forward reach on the move. In profile she holds her outline well, maintaining her

balance and breed type both standing and moving. She moves out well, showing freedom

and coordination, covering the ground with confidence and maintaining her topline. Overall,

she is a well-constructed, feminine bitch with quality and promise.

Yearling Bitch 4

1. Boyd-McNeil & Edwards: - Glennlokhen Chasing Dreams: - A very attractive young lady with a

lovely, well-balanced head, showing a defined stop and a soft, kind expression that

immediately draws you in. Her overall head proportions are pleasing, giving a feminine and

refined appearance without any coarseness. She has good reach of neck, which flows

smoothly and cleanly into well laid shoulders, helping to create a correct and elegant outline.

Her front assembly is well put together, allowing for ease of movement and freedom in front.

She has good depth through the chest, giving her substance and heart room, and a well

proportioned loin that adds to her overall balance and strength of body. In the hindquarters

she shows a nice turn of stifle, contributing to her drive and power on the move. Her croup is

well shaped, flowing nicely into a correctly set tail carriage, which helps maintain her outline

both standing and moving. She stands on small, neat feet, which complement her overall

refinement and contribute to her efficiency of movement. She is presented in a lovely rich

dark coat, which is in good condition and enhances her overall quality. On the move she goes

out well, showing drive from behind and covering the ground with purpose while

maintaining her outline. Overall, a well-balanced and pleasing bitch with good construction

and much to like.

2. Kassube & French’s Cararua Spring Pearl: - An elegant, feminine bitch with a well-balanced

head and a soft, gentle expression that gives her real appeal. She is nicely put together in

front, with correct upper arm angulation and a good reach of neck flowing smoothly into

well laid shoulders. Her front is straight and true, supported by small, firm, cat-like feet which

complete the picture. On the move she goes well, showing a steady, balanced action and

making the most of her construction. Overall, a very pleasing and feminine girl.

3. Mutch’s Astleyview Crimson Moon: - She has a quality head that is well balanced and in

proportion, with a lovely oval back skull and expressive eyebrows that add to her overall

appeal. Her neck is elegant and flows smoothly into her shoulders. Unfortunately, her topline

was a little too level to my liking, which slightly detracted from her outline. She has good

depth to her ribs, giving her a solid body shape.

Maiden Bitch 2

1. Stevenson’s Gwendariff Cracklin Rosie for Lothlorien (IKC)

2. Simmons’ Scokira Starry Night: - An elegant, feminine head that is well balanced, with a soft

and gentle expression. She has good upper arm angulation, which contributes to her overall

balance and construction. A strong reach of neck flows smoothly into well laid shoulders,

giving a pleasing outline. She has a nice straight front with small, firm, catlike feet, which are

well suited to her structure. She moves well, showing herself off to good advantage on the

go around.

Novice Bitch 1

1. Ruzsinszki and Ferrara’s Tottie Tango: - A pleasing young lady. She has an oval skull from ear

to ear, showing no coarseness, and her foreface and skull are in good balance, giving a clean

and refined head. She has a correct dark almond-shaped eye, which contributes to a kind

and attentive expression. A strong neck flows smoothly into well placed shoulders. She

carries a pleasing, gently sloping topline that completes her outline.

1. Kassube’s Cararua Spring Pearl

2. Murchinson’s Harelferg Penny Lane Via Corphin: - Has an appealing head, feminine in

appearance and well-proportioned when viewed from any angle. Her neck has good reach,

lowing smoothly into her body. She has plenty of width and depth of chest, giving her

substance, and a good spring of rib which adds to her overall body volume and strength. Her

topline is gently sloping, which is generally pleasing, however the tail set is placed slightly

below the croup, which does detract from her outline when standing and spoils the overall

balance a little in profile. She has good angulation both in front and behind, which

contributes to her overall soundness and ability to move efficiently.

3. Mutch’s Astleyview Crimson Moon.

Graduate Bitch

1. Jones’ Gwendariff Rhianna: - A superb head and expression, very pleasing overall with a

lovely finish to the foreface. She has just enough stop, a correct unshelled almond shaped

eye, and well-pronounced eyebrows that give her real character. Her ears are low set, which

adds to her soft and balanced expression. She carries a strong, powerful neck that flows

cleanly into well laid shoulders. There is good shoulder placement, with a good return of

upper arm completing the forehand assembly. She has a deep, well-sprung ribcage, giving

her plenty of heart and lung room and a well-developed body for her age and type. Her

topline is correct and held well both standing and moving, contributing to a balanced

outline. The hindquarters are wide and well developed, with good width through the second

thigh, and she is well bent at stifle. Strong rear pasterns complete a sound and functional

rear assembly, giving her the ability to drive off the ground with power and confidence.

2. Webb’s Alolfrana Whole Lotta Love with Redeshka: - A very elegant yet powerful bitch,

combining strength and femininity in equal measure. She has a superb head and expression,

which immediately draws attention, and she presents a very pleasing overall picture. Her

topline is strong and well held, flowing cleanly into a correct tail set that completes a

balanced outline. She is well proportioned throughout, with excellent body and substance,

showing good depth and ribbing which gives her strength and scope. On the move she

covers the ground with excellent drive and real strength from behind, using her hindquarters

effectively. She also shows sufficient reach in front, maintaining balance and efficiency in her

movement. Her coat is in glorious condition, well-presented and adding to her overall

quality. Altogether she is a very attractive, well-balanced bitch who stands and moves with

real presence and harmony, making her very pleasant to look at.

3. Borthwick’s Danwish Aria of Lotushill: - So feminine and elegant in her profile, presenting a

very attractive and well-balanced outline. She has a pretty head with a lovely dark eye, giving

a soft and appealing expression. Overall, she is well proportioned, with everything in good

balance and harmony. She carries a long, slightly arched neck which flows cleanly into her

shoulders and enhances her elegant outline. There is good depth to the brisket, giving her

plenty of heart room, and a well sprung ribcage which adds substance and body without

coarseness. Her hindquarters are strong and well developed, providing good power and

drive. This strength behind complements her overall construction and allows her to move

with purpose and balance, maintaining her femininity while still showing enough substance

and strength throughout.

Post Graduate Bitch 3

1. Bridgwater & Goddard’s Bridgella’s Jubilee Queen JW: - This is a very attractive and well put

together bitch who really stood out for her femininity and overall balance. She has a beautiful

feminine head with a well-defined stop, giving good correct eye position. Her dark, unshelled

almond-shaped eyes contribute to a very appealing, slightly quizzical expression which is

typical of the Irish type and very pleasing to see. She has a lovely reach of neck which flows

smoothly into a correctly angulated front assembly, giving her a clean and elegant outline.

Her topline is gently sloping and held well, adding to her overall balance both standing and on

the move. Behind, she shows a good bend of stifle with plenty of width through the thigh,

indicating strength and drive. She is in excellent muscular condition, well-toned without losing

her femininity or elegance. What also impressed me was the way she and her handler worked

together, showing a real partnership and harmony in the ring, which allowed her to move out

2. Hunter & Brown’s Glencarron Another Chapter at Bradmount: - A very elegant yet powerful

bitch who immediately takes the eye for her overall balance and presence in the ring. She has

a superb head with an excellent expression, combining femininity with strength, giving a very

attractive and typical look for the breed. She holds a strong, firm topline which she maintains

well both standing and on the move, flowing into a correct tail set that completes a well

balanced outline. Her overall construction is very pleasing, with excellent body and substance

throughout, giving the impression of a well-developed and capable animal without losing

elegance. On the move she really comes into her own, moving with excellent drive from

behind, showing strength and purpose, while still maintaining enough reach in front to give a

balanced and efficient gait. She covers the ground well and moves with confidence and ease.

She is presented in glorious coat and condition, clearly well cared for and in excellent bloom,

which enhances her outline and overall appeal. Altogether, she presents as a very attractive,

well balanced and quality bitch who combines elegance with power in equal measure, making

her a very pleasant and satisfying exhibit to go over and judge.

3. Robbinson’s Cherrorvale Dream Come True JW: - A very elegant yet powerful lady who

presents a most pleasing overall picture, combining strength with true femininity. She

immediately appeals for her balance and outline, and she stands with real presence and

confidence. She has a superb head with a very attractive expression, full of quality and

character, which enhances her overall appeal. Everything is in the correct proportion, giving a

clean and well-balanced impression from any angle. She holds a strong, firm topline which is

maintained both standing and on the move and she has a well-set tail that complements her

outline and completes a very balanced silhouette.

1. Heather’s Sixoaks My Fair Lady JW: - This lady really stood out in this class and was

exceptionally well presented, showing quality from head to tail. She has a superb head,

nicely balanced and free from any coarseness, with a soft, gentle expression that

immediately appeals. Her neck is of correct length and flows smoothly into well laid

shoulders, with well let down elbows and a pleasingly straight front. She is well constructed

throughout, with good depth and substance, giving a balanced overall picture. Her powerful

hindquarters and short hocks were used to full advantage on the move, allowing her to cover

the ground with ease, drive and purpose. She moved with confidence and strength,

maintaining her outline at all times. A very complete and quality bitch who was a pleasure to

watch in both stance and movement.

2. Dank’s Alolfrana Electra: - A very racy and elegant young lady with excellent balance and

proportions, standing on good length of leg and presenting a clean, athletic outline. She has

a feminine, long and lean head with good parallel planes, a soft expression and well-shaped

eye, all in keeping with her type. Her neck flows nicely into well laid shoulders, with a

straight front and elbows well under her body. She has good depth of chest, a balanced rib,

and neat, compact feet. Her topline is firm with a gentle slope, carrying through into a well

shaped rear with correct angulation and short hocks. On the move she excels, covering the

ground with ease, showing very good reach and drive while holding her topline. She carries

herself well with a confident attitude.

3. Williamson’s Bluesprings: - A Kind of Magic at Keljaru: - Lovely headed bitch with a well

defined stop and soft, gentle expression. She has a good reach of neck which flows smoothly

into well laid shoulders, giving her a balanced and pleasing outline. Her front is straight with

neat elbows, and she shows good depth through the chest and strength through the loin.

She has a nice turn of stifle and a well-constructed rear, with a good croup and overall sound

angulation. Her feet are small and neat, adding to her tidy appearance, and she is presented

in a lovely rich, dark coat which enhances her overall quality. On the move she is sound and

true, covering the ground with ease and maintaining her shape well. A well put together

bitch with a pleasing balance throughout.

1. Tom’s Ir Ch Ir Sh Ch Ladysdale Maud Gonne to Shilvodan Jd Jun Ch Cen. JW: - Gorgeous

headed bitch with a soft, quizzical expression, enhanced by a good stop and correct almond

shaped eye. Her head is well balanced and feminine, giving a very pleasing overall look. She

carries a muscular, slightly arched neck which flows cleanly into well laid shoulders,

contributing to a balanced and correct front assembly. She shows good fore chest and a

pleasing width through the front. Her topline is gently sloping and well held, adding to her

overall outline. She is well made through the body with good depth and substance without

losing her elegance. Her hindquarters are powerful and well developed, and she uses them

to great advantage on the move. In action, she covers the ground with purpose and drive,

showing strength behind and maintaining her shape well. A very attractive and well

constructed bitch who presents a balanced and quality picture throughout.

2. Neil & Ellirich’s Sh Ch Ferasheen Perfekt in Pink Gwendariff Jww 23: - A very pretty and

feminine bitch with a lovely soft, quizzical expression. She has a well-shaped head with a

good stop and correct almond-shaped eye, giving her a typical and appealing expression for

the breed. Her head is well balanced, with good proportions between skull and foreface,

adding to her overall quality. She has a clean neck that flows smoothly into well laid

shoulders, helping to create a balanced and elegant outline. She has good depth and

substance through the body while still maintaining a feminine appearance. Her topline is

strong and well held, and she carries her tail well set and in keeping with her overall outline.

She is presented in excellent coat and condition, clearly well cared for and prepared to a high

standard. Unfortunately, she was rather erratic on the move today, which took away from

her overall presentation and ultimately cost her the class. However, when standing, her

quality, type, and construction are very evident.

3. Bridgwater & Goddard’s Bridgella’s Don’t Push It: - A very beautiful, feminine bitch with a

true Irish expression and plenty of breed character. She has low-set ears of good length

which frame her head well, adding to her overall appeal. She has a nice depth of chest and a

straight, true front, giving her good overall balance and correctness in outline. Her rear

angulation is well constructed, providing her with the power and drive needed for correct

movement. She has a strong, well-proportioned topline which she held well both standing

and on the move, helping to maintain her outline throughout. She moved well with drive and

animation, showing plenty of enthusiasm and purpose, and presenting herself to advantage

on the go around.

Veteran Bitch 4 (1)

1. Hunter’s Sh Ch Int Sh Ch Fairhaven Electra (Swed Imp): - A truly beautiful, feminine bitch with

a lovely head and an excellent expression. She has a good stop and correctly set, dark

unshelled almond-shaped eyes, giving her a typical quizzical Irish expression full of character

and breed type. She has a lovely reach of neck which flows smoothly into a correctly

angulated front assembly, giving her a well-balanced and elegant outline. Her topline is

gently sloping contributing to her overall balance both standing and moving. She has a good

bend of stifle with pleasing width through the thigh, giving her strength and power behind.

She is presented in good muscular condition, showing fitness and careful preparation. On the

move, she is very sound, covering the ground with ease and efficiency, showing good drive

and flow without effort. Overall, she presents a very balanced and typical picture of the

breed. I was very pleased to have the opportunity to go over this bitch and was delighted to

award her the CC and Best in Show

and pleasing outline. She has a superb head, well balanced and refined without any

coarseness, and carries a soft, gentle expression which enhances her overall breed type. She

has a correct reach of neck which flows smoothly into well laid shoulders, giving her an

elegant and well-constructed front assembly. Her elbows are well let down and she has a

nice straight front, contributing to her overall correctness and balance. Behind, she is

powerful and well developed through the hindquarters, with good muscle tone and short,

strong hocks which she uses effectively to drive herself forward. On the move, she covers the

ground well, making the most of her construction and showing strength and purpose

throughout. Overall, she presents as a very quality bitch with strength, balance, and

femininity combined.

3. Robinson Rowbottom & Rowbottom’s Lanstara Red Dress at Cherrorvale: - A racy, elegant

lady with a pleasing outline and good overall balance. She has a feminine head, giving her

strength of character and presence. She has an excellent body, showing good substance and

overall quality. Her front angulation is correct, contributing to a balanced and functional

front assembly. She has a nice, firm topline which she holds well, and a correct tail set that

complements her outline.
