1ST - Tweedsmuir Manhattan (Mrs C & Mr J Blackburn) – This was a lovely dog to start my judging of the breed today. 12 month old boy with a broad square head showing balanced proportions, a clean eye with very little haw, square muzzle with a strong jaw. Stood on good feet, straight when viewed from the front or the rear, sloping shoulder and a good return of upper arm. Deep chest and a well sprung ribcage, strong topline albeit a touch high at the rear at the moment. On the move he was true out and back and really moves out in side profile, showing athleticism. What I also loved about this dog was his character, so happy and clearly enjoying his day. RBD

1ST - Elskerwoo Solar Flare (Mr Dm & Mrs Lc Morrison) Won this class as he had more of the head shape I was looking, which was large and square with heavy brows. Front construction could be better as he is a little steep through the shoulder and I would like more return of upper arm. Deep chest and a good forechest, long ribbed, just losing his topline slightly, moderate rear angulation. On the move he is a little untidy out and back but does enough in profile. Tail carriage could be lower. BSBIB

2ND - Malbecmogs Tiger Eyes at Clumberdor (Mr C & Mrs S Crittenden) – A beautifully presented dog who was so well handled. Overall, I would just like a bit more of him right through. For a male, I would like to see a more masculine head although his head is in proportion. Large feet which could be tighter, enough bone for his size, deep chest and a level back, well turned stifle and low hocks. On the move he carries his tail level with his back but I would like to see more collected and purposeful movement.

1ST - Maursett Melwyn (Mrs R & Mr S Wareham & Dustan) – Well presented boy and handled to get the best out of him. Square head with heavy brows, well developed muzzle, neck could be cleaner, well filled forechest, deep brisket and well sprung ribcage. I would like to see better angulation through the front and the rear. When stood, his elbows are well tucked in but I would prefer the forelegs to be straighter and the feet to be tighter. On the move he goes ok but would benefit from a little more strength, particularly in the rear.

1ST - Anbrook Don't Stop Me Now at Harrifield ShCEx (Mrs L J Thorogood) – This was a difficult class to judge. I just preferred the head of the first one and his leg length. This boy has a large, square head and is very masculine, eye does have a little too much haw showing, heavy brows and a good stop. Front construction is sufficient, has a good topline which he maintains on the move. Covers the ground well in profile and is sound enough out and back.

2ND - Sh Ch Suelynda Let Me Be The One JW (Mrs C & Mr J Blackburn) – Not quite the overall body and substance of 1 and not the easiest dog to handle but he has a lot of good qualities. Well constructed front, deep brisket and well ribbed, good bone for his size. Just slightly losing his topline when stood but I put this down to him being difficult. Very good mover in side profile and really uses himself well, covering the ground with ease.

1ST - Sh Ch Vanitonia Something Extra (Mr A & Mrs D Gardner & Carter-Hunt) – What an eyecatching male this is. A really strong and powerful looking dog but not at all exaggerated. Not heavy in the head but it is masculine, broad and square with a strong muzzle and powerful jaw. Well defined occiput, clean eyes without haw and well placed ears. His front construction was a delight to go over, his neck running cleanly into his sloping shoulders with an upper arm sitting correctly well back and supporting his body. Large but compact feet and good bone. Deep chest and well set back ribs with a good spring, well turned stifle and a good width to his second thigh. All put together with fabulous muscletone and a super coat. My notes say he was athletic and powerful and looked like he could work all day. Watched him in the group later where he was placed and he still looked as energetic, despite the long day. Delighted to be given the opportunity to judge this dog. BD & BOB

1ST - Vanitonia Society Girl (Mr L A S Cox) – Almost a year old and what a future this up and coming star must have. Everything about her is so balanced. Feminine head but still broad and square with a powerful jaw, noticeable occiput, clean eyes, the kindest of expressions. Clean neck into ideal front construction, her shoulders are well laid back, her return of upper arm is set back giving support, she is well boned and stands on super feet. Good forechest with fill, deep brisket and a well sprung ribcage, strong through the loin, powerful hindquarters for such a youngster, with a good turn of stifle and clear muscletone. Couldn’t fault her on the move, she is spot on out and back and eats up the ground in profile. I was so close to awarding her BOB over her kennelmate but he just pipped her with his maturity and being the more finished article, but I’ve no doubt she will soon be giving him a run for his money. 1ST - Tweedsmuir Moonflower (Miss L Wareham) – Feminine girl but has plenty of bone and substance, I would like her head to be a touch stronger through the backskull but she does have a good square muzzle. Bite is not her forte, but she has clean enough eyes and well placed ears, front construction was ok but could be tighter through the elbows, deep chest and well sprung ribs, strong through the loin, moderate turn of stifle and low hocks. On the move she is a little untidy out and back but she does show good side profile movement, displaying some reach and drive and holding her topline well, carrying her tail correctly.

1ST - Suelynda Dream On (Mrs R Wareham) – Some really lovely qualities to this bitch. She has good head proportions with her broad skull and her square muzzle, powerful jaw and the best of eyes showing no haw at all, clean and strong neck, well constructed front with strong, muscular shoulders, could be slightly tighter though the front legs, she is well boned and has large feet. Deep brisket and well ribbed, good turn of stifle and noticeable muscle definition. Very light on her feet on the move, covering the ground with ease, holding her shape, carrying her tail well and displaying natural head carriage. RBB
