BOSTON CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
IRISH WOLFHOUNDS
4th July 2026
Thank you to Boston society for their invitation to judge and hospitality. Such a
wonderful showground and we were blessed with fine weather to judge this majestic
breed
Minor Puppy Dog (0, 0)
Puppy Dog (1, 1)
Junior Dog (1, 0)
1ST Culvercroft Ivanhoe (Mrs S Forret). Nice start to the day with this handsome raw but
balanced youngster. Expressive head, small ears, dark eye. Head still needs to break, good
neck and clean shoulders. Still needs a little more in fill in front but young, straight front,
prefer slightly tighter feet. Well ribbed and conditioned. Good harsh jacket. Difficult to
assess movement but glimpses once settle of nice clean free action. Considered him for the
RCC – I am sure his time will come
Yearling Dog (1, 0)
1 st Cairnstorm Latest Edition of Shalico (Mrs S Dawson) Everything balanced for his age,
just needs to sleep, eat and fill out! Handsome head, nice small ears, good eye shape and
colour. Good neck set into clean shoulders with reasonable return of arm. Good straight
front and neat feet. Good depth of chest, and correct underline. Prefer a tad more strength
to second thigh but still young. Tended to side wind on the move with handler, but once
going in profile nice clean mover
Post Graduate Dog (2,0) Interesting class with two very different hounds at varying stages
of development.
1ST Rixymanor Major (Mrs L M Mcnulty) Compact dog, which a few less ounces on him
would help outline. I preferred his balance of return of arm and hindquarters to 2 nd . Clean
neck, deep chest and strong hindquarters. Moved soundly although could have covered the
ground more, however won the class on the cleaner and easier movement
2ND Hydebeck Eternal Love (Mrs C A Connor) Preferred the overall scope and size of this
male. Expressive head, ears a little large, good eye shape and colour, nice deep chest and
straight front and good bone. A little straighter in hindquarters to winner. Good clean harsh
jacket.
Limit Dog (7, 3)
1ST Killoughery Mission Two for Inkleyboys JW (Miss K Webb and Mrs C E Sheppard)
Very curvaceous hound. Would prefer slightly more length of leg but otherwise nicely
balanced fore and aft. Has very deep chest, good infill in front, excellent bone, good feet,
strong neck, and lovely return of arm. Nice sweeping top and underline. Moved gracefully
around the ring with ease for a strong hound RCC
2ND Hydebeck Tyme to Love at Graefyn JW (Mrs F & Mr G Dawson) Very different to
winner, but lots to like here, good size and length of leg. Head a little plain, good in fill in
front, excellent condition and good jacket. Nice topline, prefer just a tad more bend of stifle
to complete the picture
3RD Gaelmarque Nomateus (Mrs M L Severn-Kumar)
Open Dog (1, 0)
1ST Ch Dukesarum Murphy (Mrs T Sumner) I judged this dog as a junior and awarded him
the RCC, and pleased to see him develop into a majestic powerful hound. What I really liked
about him was the ease in which he floated around the ring with his handler with power from
the rear. His head is perhaps a little plain with slightly larger ears than I would prefer, but
otherwise balanced throughout, super front, and return of arm, strong bone and good feet.
Lovely deep chest, good topline and hindquarters. Conditioned to perfection with good
clean jacket . DCC and BOB. Sorry he had to miss the group due to family illness
Veteran Dog (0, 0)
Special Beginners Dog(1, 0)
1ST Hydebeck Eternal Love (Mrs C A Connor) As previous class. Best special beginner
and thrilled to hear that he won the special beginners hound group – well done to the owner
handler who has obviously worked hard with him.
Good Citizen Dog Scheme Dog(1, 0)
1ST Hydebeck Eternal Love (Mrs C A Connor) as previous class
Minor Puppy Bitch (1, 0)

1ST Daisy Star of Malkia Garden at Wolvebrigg (Imp Svk) (Mrs M K Addington) What a
delightful youngster, full of confidence and energy. No mistaking her femininity, pretty head
and expression with super dark oval eye. Adequate bone for her size and stage of
development. Good neck length into clean shoulders. Nice sweeping under and topline line.
Rather loose in front movement atm but so much to come from her
Puppy Bitch (2, 1)
1ST Dukesarum River (Mrs T Sumner) What a lovely puppy this is – completely sound and
easy on the move, amazingly so for her age. Looking at the catalogue can see she is the
daughter of BOB winner and not surprised. Very feminine head, needs to grow into her ears,
best of necks and clean shoulders. Body developing well, could have a tad more strength to
second thigh but still very young. Best Puppy
Junior Bitch (2, 0)
Entries: 2 Absentees: 0
1ST Culvercroft Isolda (Mrs S Forret) Littermate to junior male winner and similar
comments apply. Although reticent initially, let me go over her and grew in confidence as
she was shown. Nice type of hound,, preferred her head to second, super neck and body
maturing nicely. Once settled was able to move out well. Would prefer less white markings
2ND Ersebrayer Orkney Gaelmarque (Mrs M L Severn-Kumar) I felt this nice hound was
more at the in-between adolescent stage than winner – well sized, nice sweeping lines and
clean shoulders. Still needs to develop in hindquarters, but young. A little erratic on the
move today – she simply needs time.
Yearling Bitch (0, 0)
Post Graduate Bitch (0, 0)
Limit Bitch (3,1)
1ST Hydebeck Dream to Love JW (Ms C L Pinkney) Strong hound presented in excellent
condition. Perhaps a little plain in head, good eye shape and colour to match coat, Strong
neck and clean shoulders, good deep chest, strong bone with super front and good feet.
Jacket could be a tad harsher. Moved out well RBCC
2ND Rainster Evie (Mrs A T Crosse) Reaching maturity, pretty head, with the smallest of
ears, deep chest, pleasing outline. Excellent hindquarters and sound mover. . If she had
a little more oomph would present a better picture, especially on the move
Open Bitch (4, 2)
1ST Art Cuinns Sade Nyx (Mr C & Mrs J Amoo) An interesting hound, presented in top
condition. Expressive head preferred her muzzle to second. Lovey clean neck and good
return of arm. Topline still needs to develop but still very young. Moved out well. Presented
in super condition and had a lovely jacket. Lost the fluidity of movement in the challenge.
BCC
2ND Dukesarum Tallulah (Mrs T Sumner) Pleasing hound, finer than winner but lovely
balanced outline. Loved her reach of neck and clean shoulders. Flowing lines throughout
and well covered. Would like to have seen slightly more furnishings to her coat. Like all the
dogs from this kennel, lovely clean easy movement, fit and carried tail nicely on the move
