1ST  - Alanea Turning Tables Into Danwish (Miss T Gardner) & 2ND - Alanea Pennine Way (Mrs A Tattersall) - Two super youngsters, thought them both appealing in breed type, lovely heads, domed skull, clean in muzzle, both fairly square in lip, ears set level, correct eye, both with moderately long neck, good well-laid shoulders, both showing good forechest, good conformation throughout. 1st was much more settled on the move & good on the up & back. Will watch both with interest

1ST Sh Ch Gilliegrae So Berry Excited JW (Mr G J & Mrs G A Hart) Cracking young dog who fulfils the standard for type, strong & powerful. Athletic in appearance, lovely head, slightly domed skull, correct stop, clean & good lip. Beautiful eyes and ears set on level. Moderately long neck, into good lay of shoulders, good return of upper arm, lovely bone & sinew. Well ribbed up & back, width to rear, which I like to touch more off. Short hocks, lovely coat, moved with style & drive, considered for top honours, his best is still to come.

Limit Dog (2,0) 1ST  Roanjora Cremant De Savoie avec Eusanit JW (Miss R & Miss S & Mrs T McDonald & Westwood & Westwood) A young dog who is starting to show his early promise when I judged him 2 years ago. He is quality, powerful & full of breed type. Appealing head, with kind expression, good dome to skull, excellent stop, ears set on level. Clean cut, with excellent lip, moderately long neck into well laid shoulders, good bone & feet, strong & muscular deep chest, short in loin, well bent stifles, moved with effortless driving movement, short hocks & excellent muscle tone, considered for top honours but his best is still to come.

1ST - Sh Ch Talintyre Winter Shadow (Mrs J Tait) What a find, a super quality dog, screams Irish Red & White setter, athletic in appearance, strong & powerful. Stunning head, clean muzzle, excellent domed skull, good stop, lovely fairly square lip, correct eye & super expression, all set on a beautiful moderately long neck, leading into super well laid shoulders, excellent return, good forechest & correct oval bone. Super top line, deep brisket, super rear angles, one part leading to the next. He drove around the ring, with correct footfall, and clean on the up & back, Super dog DCC & BOB

2ND  - Sh Ch Spyefire Reyt Bobby Dazzler (Mr P J & Mrs E A Titterton) This is a quality dog - the standard calls for happy, good-natured & affectionate, he certainly is in the ring, super type, gorgeous head & eye, in proportion to his excellent body, skull domed, fairly square & so clean in muzzle, ear set level with dark eye, oval bone, good close-knit feet, excellent moderately long neck, shoulders well laid, well ribbed up, built up with muscle & sinew, deep in brisket, balanced rear, wide & powerful, long hock to heal with good muscle, nice tail set, moved well & settled for the RCC 

3RD  - Roanjora Cremant De Lux Copperwhite JW (Mrs L R Ward)

A lovely young dog, who was looking a little immature in open today, lots to like, good head & eye, well-made body & can move well, just needs time.

1ST  - Sh Ch Alanea Game Reserve with Danwish (Miss T Gardner) Beautiful dog, with a cracking head, eye & kind expression, he is strong & powerful, with a super moderate long neck into good shoulder & return, deep in brisket, lovely forechest. Oval bone of super quality. Deep brisket, well ribbed up & back, well bent stifles, moved with good style & effort, BV

2ND  - Sh Ch Carrick Shadow Dog at Alanea (Imp Pol) (Mrs A Tattersall) slightly different in type than 1, but very appealing, good head & eye, ears set level with eye, lovely kind expression, good neck into shoulder, with matching upper arm, deep in brisket, quality oval bone. Well ribbed back, well bent stifles, with super width, short hocks, level top line, moved well.  

3RD -   Laoirebay Monte Carlo VW (Mr M I & Mrs W E Taylor)

Special Beginners Dog (1,0)

1ST  - Coolfin Whiskey in The Jar at Mackney (Mrs J E O’Connor) Good shaped dog, domed skull, good eye, little strong in stop & lip. Moderate neck into good shoulder, deep brisket, excellent fore chest, oval bone, good feet, well bent stifles, moved at one with his handler, showing good reach & drive, clean on the up & back.

1ST - Alanea Summer Legacy (Mrs A Tattersall) - Quality bitch puppy, head appealing, with good dome to skull, correct stop, with good lip, moderately long neck, into a good shoulder, fore-chest developing, good depth of brisket, lovely rear angle with good width, holding a level top-line with correct tail run, not settled today moving between the tent and the wind, straight on the up and back - like to see how she finishes 

 2ND - Aislingwood Amber Fields (Mrs K Clark) Another good bitch puppy of overall correct shape, pretty head with correct eye and expression, moderately long neck into good shoulder, matching upper arm, fore-chest needs to drop in, excellent oval bone and tight feet showing feather in between toes, enough depth to rib, level top-line, long from hip to hock, like little more width, but time on her side. Not settled on the move but once got going - good side profile.

1ST - Foreverknox Mo Anam Cara (Mrs E Gibson) Thought this bitch was super smart in appearance, athletic rather than racy, super oval bone for her age, stood on tight feet, very well put together, balanced angles front & rear, with super deep brisket & strong chest, she had great width to rear for her age, all with a super shaped head, with intelligent expression, like little more work under her eye to be critical, but plenty of time. Moved straight on up & back, with long free flowing movement, was considered for top honours but she will have her day.

1ST  - Foreverknox Mo Anam Cara (Mrs E Gibson) Repeat from Junior 

2ND  - Coolfin The Ecstasy of Gold at Caradilis (Ms D & Mr A O’kelly & Hancock) Unlucky to meet 1st in such fine form. An honest bitch, of correct shape, stronger head but not displeasing - correct domed skull, lovely almost square lip, ears set level & close. Moderate neck, on to a good shoulder, like more length on upper arm to balance. Super strong & muscular chest, with well sprung ribs. She rises little over the loin currently, needs to drop in to her rear angles, moved straight on up & back, showing free striding gait. Lots to like. 

 3RD - Coolfin Baltic Turn The Page (Miss P Jakins)

Post Graduate Bitch (1,0) 

1ST  - Coolfin Aoife of Foreverknox (Mrs E Gibson) A stronger headed bitch for my taste, little rounded in skull, but correct dark eyes, good stop & correct almost square lip, ears set level & set on close, moderate neck in to ok shoulder, lacks upper arm, deep in chest, strong & muscular, good length of back, with ok top-line, like more length to rear, balanced bitch however just like more angles all through. Little wide behind, good side profile with good footfall.

1ST  - Settersay Targaryen Lowdon (Miss V Jarvis) A larger-framed bitch, appealing head & eye with good expression, moderate length neck, into an ok shoulder with balanced upper arm, good-quality bone, just enough depth of chest, little longer in back & loin for my taste, balanced moderate rear angles. Moved with level top-line, good footfall. 

 Open Bitch (3,0) This was a cracking class of three top-rated bitches. 

1ST -  Sh Ch Roanjora Crémant D’Alsace JW (Mr R G, Mrs A D & Miss R McDonald) Super-shaped bitch from any angle, her head is a delight, super expression, excellent neck into lovely shoulder with correct upper arm, super breastbone & fore chest, strong & muscular in chest, if carrying a little too much weight, short in loin, long from hip to hock, with good width to thighs, Straight on the up & back with a look at me attitude. Side profile she showed her long free-striding effortless movement which won her the CC & BOS

2ND - Sh Ch Settersay Martell by Corranroo (Mr G C & Mrs J Bayne) A very pretty-headed bitch with lovely eyes, correct skull & very balanced, muscular neck which I would like a little more length of, super laid shoulder & would like more length to upper arm to balance front assembly, breastbone present & chest is deep, like her a little longer body, well ribbed, muscular loin, balanced rear angles, move true & straight, like more length to her stride, but quality bitch & had to settle for the RCC today.  

3RD -  Sh Ch Charnborough Charisma of Danwish JW (Miss T Gardner) Another quality bitch, with super head & good body proportions, just wasn’t settled today with the weather conditions.

1ST       296 - Sh Ch Zendarric It's A Kind of Magic Within Wroxham JW (Mrs E E Walker) A honesty bitch, of correct shape, appealing head but like more stop to finish the picture, lovely eye shape, good lip, clean in throat, ok neck into a good shoulder placement, deep in rib, chest is strong & muscular, strong loin, long from hock to hip, good level topline moved with style and drive

1ST       284 - Sh Ch Roanjora Rioja Crianza (Mr R G, Mrs A D & Miss R McDonald) A super headed bitch, lovely expression into a muscular long neck, good laid of shoulder, she has super chest, strong & muscular, deep in rib, well ribbed back, short in loin, lovely length from hip to hock, with good width. She is balanced all through, moved well, showing free flowing movement, she was soft in top line, keeping her away from higher awards.
