Judge Miss Cheryl Hill
Many thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge at your lovely show, and thank you to my two stewards for keeping the ring running smoothly.
We had a lovely-sized ring, which allowed the dogs to show their true potential on the move. There were some dogs carrying a touch too much weight; they are a working breed and should be fit and well toned.
I thoroughly enjoyed my day and was absolutely delighted to see my BOB take Group 2 and my BPIB win the Puppy Group.
Veteran Dog (1/0)
1st Mutlow’s Braefell Goshawk JW, A fit and well-presented 9-year-old veteran. Clean through the neck with pleasing angles both front and rear. Lovely head with a gentle, appealing expression. Well-laid shoulders and good feet. Strong body proportions, with well-sprung ribs carried well back, a deep chest, and a short loin. Moved soundly and efficiently, using his rear quarters well to provide strong drive.

He has a nicely proportioned neck flowing into well-laid shoulders, with straight forelegs. Deep through the chest with plenty of heart and lung room, a firm loin, and the correct tuck-up. Gently sloping stifles, strong hocks, and well-muscled thighs. Handler needs to watch top line in the stack. The best mover in the class, moving cleanly with good reach, covering the ground with ease.
2nd Poter-Manning & Porter’s Wallaroo Betelgeuse, 15-month-old male who is maturing nicely. He has a kind expression, with good muzzle depth and width of skull. Ears are well set. Clean through the shoulders, not quite the upper arm as 1. Ribs extend well back to a short loin. He has moderate stifle angulation and well-let-down hocks. Moved out soundly and with purpose.

1st Mutlow’s Madreliath Magic Man, Lovely head with great ears. Good forechest, straight forequarters and tight feet. Had a tendency to loose his top line at times. Stifles moderate, hocks ok. Would like to see a touch more enthusiasm from him on the move.

Limit Dog (8/1)
1st Thwaites & Woodward-Thwaites’s Sireva Rambler (AI), I have watched this dog develop over time, and while he has occasionally challenged his handler, today he was in outstanding form. He presented with a fabulous coat colour and condition, complemented by excellent muscle tone throughout. He has correct skull proportions with a prominent occipital point, a gentle expression, and well-set ears carried high. His neck is strong, flowing into well-laid shoulders. His chest has good depth, reaching to the elbows and extending well back. His loin is short and firm, and he has a level top-line that he maintains on the move, with a slightly sloping croup. The rear angulation is excellent. On the move, he covered the ground with ease, making full use of his powerful hindquarters to provide strong drive. I was delighted to award him the CC.

Shown in excellent condition, he is maturing nicely and developing well. He has a pleasing head, a good length of neck, and straight forequarters. His feet are tight and well-knit. The ribcage extends well back to a short, strong loin, contributing to his balanced proportions.
