Super to be back “home’ to England after a few years away from UK shows and to be able to judge with ‘fresh eyes’. Always a great honor to judge. I really enjoyed my day and being able to asses so many quality females. I LOVED ALL of my class winners and had a superb lineup to choose my Best Female. Breed type , soundness of mind and body and an obvious symmetrical balance , and quality my passions for our beloved breed. Heads I found varied a lot, sadly not all having the desired chiseling or ‘work’ or possessing kind dark eyes and the sweet soft expression that depicts our lovely breed. The vision for me of a Golden at all times is in essence as a fit gundog able to carry and to cover the ground with effortless ease. Well padded neat, tight cat shaped feet of vital importance in order to cope with all terrain.

Remember muscle tone, coat presentation and performance , as well as a neat tight foot shape with short nails are all factors you can change and work on to improve upon to enhance your dog and make it even greater !!!

BABY PUPPY BITCH ( 5,0) 1.Price Mrs JM Berrymeade Chardonnay. Almost 5 months old. Gorgeous baby baby, well off for bone and substance with a glorious thick gold coat of good texture and endearing waves . Strongly made, Very balanced and very correct in development for her age. Exudes confidence and a sweetness in character. Stands foursquare herself. Most lovely topline and tailset both standing and on the move. Pretty head with a lovely expression. Strode out well and to advantage for one so young, with sound true movement. 2.McCammick Mrs R Saffddales Countess Cora. Wonderful character and temperament. Shows herself off on the move with a confident positive attitude for one so young and correct sound ground covering movement. A lot to like about her . Well constructed throughout with everything developing in harmony. Sweet , soft, kind head and expression . Straighter gold topcoat with dense undercoat that shows off her super outline and construction. 3.Chan Mrs J & Mr R Wemcrest Hocus Pocus

VETERAN BITCH ( 9, 4 absent) 1.Lewis Mrs S & Miss M Sh Ch Lovehayne Bijou Among Fairwinds JW VW. Start of my judging and she already sets the bar high for all dogs to follow !!! Stunning outline. Superb quality. Expertly handled to give a perfected performance to show off and emphasize all of her many assets. Full of ring presence and eye catching on the move. Loved EVERYTHING about her ..... one difficult to fault or find an ‘if’ or ‘but’. She radiates confidence and gorgeousness and is a total joy to go over !! . The most beautiful kind, femine head and soft expression. Fabulous length and strength to neck which gracefully flows into well laid clean shoulders and corresponding superb front assembly. Good depth and spring of rib to give plenty of lung and heart room. Straight legs and neat well knuckled tight feet - which so many lack these days. Most perfect strong level topline which despite her age, she held on the move with wonderful head and tail carriage. In well-muscled hard condition with immaculate presentation in her pretty blonde coat. Well let down short strong hocks, just as our standard depicts, her strength of rear pastern giving a sound and true powerful driving force on the move. Her rear action equaled by her superb forward reach to give an effortless efficient ground covering long stride, each and every time she was asked to move. A difficult one to beat on the day for her all round higher level of excellence and symmetry. She moved out with a spark and a stylish harmonious flair in the challenge, with perfect head and tail carriage and continued to shine when standing to constantly give the aura that even at 9 years old, she was very much every inch a champion. Pleased to award her the CC & later RBIS & BV in show.
2.Clarkson Mrs FM Sh Ch Drumkilty Lisdoonvarna JW. Another eye catching quality lady full of breed type and oozing correctness and an exquisite pleasure to the hands to go over. Total superfit powerpack ! Very well-muscled , strong paler girl in good coat with attractive feathering . She excels on the move with her long powerful stride. Straight, strong legs with good feet. Superb in outline. Most excellent in conformation with good strong muscular neck that flows exquisitely into her dead level topline and tail set. In total balance with wonderful angulation fore and aft, fabulous layback of shoulder, good return of upperarm, ample forechest, Well bodied with well sprung deep ribcage. Strong in loin. The three ladies heading the Veteran Class really were a total joy to begin the day on a superior level of quality and envisaged my ideals of character, breed type, soundness, movement and overall correctness in fulfilling the requirements of our breed standard.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH (8, 1 absent) 1.McNeish Mr M & MissM Pevrilpoint Don’t Stop Me Now . Just 6 months old. Powerful Super baby of good substance and body. Wonderfully and sympathetically handled with a kind, calm precision. Perfectly presented in pretty pale coat. Possessing an incredible long groundcovering stride with fabulous reach and drive that won her the class and also the next ! Needs to tighten in her hind movement seen from the rear, but understandable at this tender age stage. In total harmony and balance and extremely well made throughout in her construction, with everything as you would want and expect for her age. I would like tighter more cat like feet and shorter nails but this a factor that can be worked on with time by exercise to improve her foot shape, and with the allowance of her age, was a factor I could set aside against her many virtues. Well angled, well bodied and deep through the heart, plenty forechest, She lost out in hind movement and rear drive to the well made older more muscled 10.5 month old lovely well made attractive male puppy Mrs. S. Norris Fenpinque Royal Rascal by Molestream for BPIS .
2.Baldacchino Mr G Dancove Out of the Blue. Most gorgeous head, beautiful attractive gold coat and in superb condition and presentation. A quality puppy of good bone, body and substance, that was expertly handled to push one hard for a close decision !! She just needs to tighten in elbow, but again at this age stage an understandable life stage factor which can improve with time and exercise. Fabulous neat catlike feet. Superb well let down short strong rear pasterns. Balanced throughout in her conformation making a beautifully balanced picture when standing. Moved out well with good animation, ring presence and character.

Fabulous strong topline and dead level tail set. Wonderful neat, tight, well knuckled catlike feet. Good body with deep well sprung ribcage, short coupled and super strong in loin.
2.Wood Mrs KP Alibren Firecracker of Lebuinus. Lovely sweet feminine head. Totally balanced outline and very correct conformation. Lots to like about her. Stands foursquare naturally correct. Loved her tight, cat like feet and neat strong short hocks. Level topline. Always wagging. Good spring of rib. Deep in body. Well fitting elbows, balanced angulation. Pleasing on the move with a strong driviing action from the rear. Shown in pretty gold good coat.

Breed type and quality radiates out from this energetic enthusiastic muscular young lady. Could easily take her home to join mine !! So so sooooo much to love about this strong well made and well muscled animated youthful lady at 22 months of age. Blooming in her brand new shiny gleaming gold coat - to be picky, her coat length of feathering could have been more as a contender in the line up for top honours, but as that factor can also gowith the age, I could not deny her the class with her many virtues, outstanding attributes and excellent construction underneath, weighing against time , as the only factor to get the finished picture of maturity and feathering. My hands ‘smiled’ going over her fit strong body. In tip top hard muscular condition and on youthful tiptop positive form today. Strongly made with a strong sound frame. Sound in body and mind. Wonderful in her character, happy wagginess, bounce, outgoing nature, vitality, ring presence, attitude, and easy going yet enthusiastic fabulous free powerful movement. . Most gorgeous head, eyes and expression. Excels in her magnificent neck flow and supersrtrong firm dead level topline and tailset. Clean, Well laid back shoulders, superb depth of rib , well ribbed back, broad strong muscular quarters, super strong loin. Her wonderful harmonious quality and breed type. Her terrific conformation, soundness, and the fact I was constantly drawn to her naturally standing herself four square, being so full of gorgeousness, with no exaggerations, made it an easy heartfelt decision to award her the RCC. 2.Poile Miss V & Blackboro Mr P Cherrimar Electra . Well made all through. Excels in super strong neck of good length and flow and outline. Deep through the heart and good in body. Fabulous text book front construction. With forelegs set well under the body. When standing has an Excellent firm level topline. Needs to tighten in her hind action and hold her shape better on the move.

Well constructed with an Excellent neck and layback of shoulder, good return of upper arm. Plenty forechest. Good in body with fab spring of rib, and well ribbed back. Good second thighs and strong rear quarters. Stands strong on her legs to give a symmetrical appearance. Would prefer tighter feet with more knuckling. Strong back with dead level topline and tailset. Moves out well with a powerful long stride.

Would prefer to be more ribbed back. Sound all round with a strong firm topline, level tailset. Lovely feet. In great condition with a correct double textured pale coat with waves and pretty feathering. Loved her balance and strength yet femininity. Pleasing head with good dark eyes and pigment. Moved out well and with power and plenty drive from behind.

Forelegs straight and placed well under the body. Good correct double coat.

Lots to like about her standing and on the move and equally pleasing to go over. Strongly Muscled and powerful, foursquare, balance personified with excellent conformation , good ribcage with good spring of rib. Wonderful head carriage and Super strong topline held on the move. Handled to perfection so her very correct silhouette was often catching my eye.
2.Campion Ms A Fenpinque Glamourglow. Happy, waggy animated girlie that exudes personality and possesses a super show attitude. Very attentive to handler which intensifies her ring presence and expertly shown to stand freely by herself with nothing to hide or correct. Loved her most beautiful head and expression. Kind dark eye. Super substance, well bodied, deep in body and fully mature in full coat and full bloom. Top notch gleaming presentation. Broad strong quarters. Super strong rear pasterns with well let down hocks. Just a tadge too heavy today which implicated on holding firm her topline on the move.

Still needs to tighten in front but at only two years old she is still very young to compete in this class and her many assets and virtues outweighed this one changeable factor.

In excellent condition with pretty gold coat, faultless in her construction, with everything exactly as you would want it.
