Bournemouth Canine Association Championship Show, 8th August 2026
Australian Shepherds
Judge: Catherine Fuller
I would like to thank the Bournemouth Committee for asking me to judge and award my first set of CC’s in the breed that I have loved and owned for 33 years. I would also like to thank my fabulous steward, Adam Hawkins who kept the ring running very smoothly and kept everyone entertained.
Thank you to everyone who entered their dogs, the temperaments were great on all exhibits and bites on the whole were good. There were some that were carrying too much weight and this adversely affected their movement and shape and some stops were very deep.
Minor Puppy Dog (5, 1a)
Loved the first and second place dogs, I am sure that they will swap places on another day.
1st – Mrs J Knott – Intenzivni Zazitek Fallcatt – BPD, BPIB
Just 6 months old, red merle, caught my eye as soon as he came into the ring. Lovely puppy with correct ear and eye shape, masculine head with a moderate stop, correct length of neck which flowed into good front, he has a good bend of stifle and moderate bone. He moved very well for his age, keeping a firm topline, looking forward to seeing how he matures.
2nd – Mrs L Brown – Trijem Bad Moon Rising at Hattiehoula
7 month old, blue merle with lovely clear colour. Another lovely puppy who is so together for his age. Deeper stop than 1st, correct almond shaped eye and ear set, masculine head, nice length of neck, straight forearms, I just preferred the shoulder placement on 1st place today. He moved well and maintained a level topline. Another I shall watch with interest.

8 month old, red merle, 3rd in Minor puppy. Longer in head than 1st but has a nice moderate stop, needs a bit more fullness to his muzzle but this will come with age, correct almond shaped eyes, moderate bone. Front a little narrow at present and tends to stand a little east to west. A little close behind when moving but holds his topline on the move. Lovely temperament.
