Birmingham Dog Show Society Ltd

Breed: German Pinscher

I took over this breed from the original judge, Jeff Horswell, who was unable to do this appointment, I wish him well. Thank you to the exhibitors who came under me today and accepted their placings with good grace and sportsmanship.

SBD 2(1)

1. Unsworth/Williams’ Maxally’s Albus. 2½ years, wedge shaped head with dark eye, would prefer a better ear set, strong neck into well placed shoulder, could be slightly deeper in brisket, firm top-line, for me, I would prefer him more compact, carried his tail well, moved out ok, BSpB.

PD 3(0)

1. Harvey-Miller’s Kariwight Man In The Moon. 10 months and looking well standing and moving, wedge shaped head, slight stop, dark oval eye, well placed ears, elegant neck into a sound front assembly, he was compact and balanced standing and moving, would just like a little more animation on the move, BP.

2. Lewczuk’s Dexterity Enthusiastic Crush for Danixaris. Another smart male of 10 months, strong wedge shaped head with deep muzzle, dark eyes, well placed ears, straight forelegs of good bone and compact feet, well let down in chest, he was well ribbed with good muscle in his hindquarters, a little unco-operative on the move today but I’m sure this will improve as he matures.

3. Clark’s Maxally’s Bad To The Bone.

PGD 2(1)

1. Unsworth/Williams’ Maxally’s Albus. Repeat.

OD 2(0)

1. Ellis’ Falkor Stand and Deliver. 3 years and a dog I have judged on other occasions, this young male never stops showing and always gives a great performance, lovely wedge shaped head and dark oval eye, well placed ears, excellent neck and shoulder with straight forelegs and well arched feet, he was compact and in hard condition throughout, his angles were balanced, he had good depth in his brisket and he moved out with a free stride covering the ground well, lovely male, BD & BOB.

2. Lowe’s Danixaris Daydreamer. 4 year old male who had some nice qualities, wedge shaped masculine head with dark eye and alert expression, strong neck into well placed shoulder, he had straight forelegs of good bone but could have a fraction more depth in his brisket, liked his shape and overall proportions, he moved out with an effective free stride, RBD.

PB 3(0)

1. Harvey-Miller’s Kariwight’s Little Aurora. Feminine young bitch of 9 months, liked her lovely wedge shaped head and expressive dark eye, strong neck into a well laid shoulder, needs to drop in brisket as she matures, straight forelegs, she was balanced throughout with good angles, well set tail and carriage, she moved out with a steady free stride.

2. Clark’s Maxally’s Bark At The Moon. 9 months and a little anxious today about being assessed but she soon settled, feminine head and expression, she had decent angles front and rear but, for me, she could be a little more compact, she showed some steady movement in profile.

3. Clark’s Maxally’s Bell Of The Ball.

LB 4(2)

1. Clark’s Hickson Valkyria For Maxally (imp SWE). 3 years, feminine head and expression, well placed ears, good wedge shaped head, dark eye, strong muscular neck leading into a well placed shoulder, well let down in brisket, good ribbing, balanced fore and aft, she moved soundly with a free stride.

2. Lawrence’s Falkor Poetry in Motion. 3 years, feminine head but her ears could be better set and more settled, would like a little more breadth in skull, she had a good neck and decent angles front and rear although could be straighter in foreleg, moved out with a clean free stride.

OB 3(2)

1. Harvey-Miller’s Falkor’s Little Mazikeen at Kariwight. 5½ years with a lovely feminine expressive head, dark oval eye, well placed ears, straight legs of good bone and compact feet, strong neck into well placed shoulder, good forechest and well let down in brisket, compact and balanced, she moved with a clean, free stride, RBB.

VB 1(0)

1. Ellis’ Goodsouls Rumour Has It It’s Falkor. Lovely veteran of 9 years, she is feminine, compact and balanced with a lovely temperament and excels on the move, wedge shaped head with well set ears and expressive dark eye, strong neck into a lovely front assembly, straight forelegs with compact feet, she is balanced fore and aft with good angles, she carries her tail well, hocks well let down, very well muscled in the rear which she used to good effect, BB & BV.
