DOBERMANN Many thanks to the exhibitors for their quality entry, it was a really enjoyable judging appointment, you were all so friendly and I was impressed with the sportsmanlike behaviour around the ring. I was so pleased to be able to give 3 extra special awards to 3 new champions on the day, congratulations to you all. Extended thanks to my 2 stewards who kept the day flowing. MPD 2(0)
1. Reynolds’ Supeta’s Spelling Games with Tumainistar. 7 months, masculine head of good length with depth to his muzzle, dark almond shaped eye, strong well muscled neck, good shoulder assembly with some depth to his chest, firm top-line, straight forelegs of good bone with compact feet, he needs to strengthen in his hock for better movement going away although he was well muscled and fit. 2. Puttnam’s Rosebebe Golden Ember. Just 6 months, preferred the head proportions on 1 although he had good depth in his muzzle with well set ears and eyes, straight forelegs of good bone with compact feet, he had depth to his chest but felt he lacked the overall elegance of 1 and also preferred the body to leg proportions of 1, needs to settle all round for an improved overall picture. PD 2(1) 1. Puttnam’s Rosebebe Golden Ember. Repeat. JD 4(2) 1. Webb/Branchflower’s Shalissas Perfect Touch Swiss JCh. Well presented young male of 13 months, masculine clean head with good depth to his muzzle and pleasing head planes, expressive dark almond shaped eye, straight forelegs with compact feet, strong well muscled neck, good breadth to his chest, sound top-line with strong hindquarters, fluid on the move with a sound ground covering gait. 2. Little/Mitton’s Grafmax Arthur of Camelot. 13½ months, masculine clean head with alert expression, flat skull and well placed ears, dark eye, straight forelegs of good bone with compact feet, not the top-line of 1, he had good depth of chest but I preferred the overall proportions of 1, little long in loin and could be cleaner going away in his rear. 1. Brown/Ingram/Lack’s Jojavik Assassin’s Code JW. This lovely young male of just 23 months caught my eye straight away for his elegance and outline, masculine clean cut head without being overdone, good depth of muzzle and dark expressive eye, flat skull and well placed ears, strong well muscled neck leading into an excellent front assembly, good bone and compact feet, good depth to his chest and he pleased for his overall shape both standing and moving, excellent top-line, croup and tail, presented and shown in the best of condition, believe this award of RDCC gave him his title, many congratulations, I’m sure he has a very bright future ahead. 2. Billington’s Shalissa’s Louis Vuitton avec Aquepins. 13 months, masculine head and expression although he could be a little tighter in lip and a shade darker in his eye, strong well muscled neck, adequate shoulder placement and he could stand a little straighter in his front but he had good bone and good depth to his chest, sound in top-line and he moved out with a steady stride. 3. Williams’ Shalissa’s Mulberry. PGD 2(0) 1. Robertson’s Cockneyoka Commander. Well presented male of 20 months, masculine head, dark expressive eye, well placed ears, moderate in front and rear assembly, looked balanced on the stand, he had good depth to his chest with straight forelegs and compact feet, strong well muscled neck, firm top-line, good rib, lacked a little animation on the move today. 2. Williams’ Shalissa’s Mulberry. 12½ months, masculine head and expression with dark eye, would like a flatter skull and better head planes, he had a strong well muscled neck but thought him a little off balance standing and moving today, firm top-line and a well muscled rear, he moved out steadily.
